Remember Dreams Come True, Fantasmic or World of Color? Which is your favorite?

I think it is a good idea to keep the poll open when we get to August.

I love all three shows, they are outstanding and worth seeing each night. But I am an old school type of person who love F! which has been running for almost 20 years. RDCT makes me cry every time I watch this show live at the park or from my videos that I have recorded. WoC is getting better and better for me every time I watch this show.

I can agree with this quite a bit. Why? Because I have seen the WDW version of F! And many other disney firework shows. But nothing like WoC. The Bellagio fountains can be compared with it but after seeing WoC they become simple and nearly worthless.

I, too, have seen F! at WDW and the Bellagio fountains. WOC is about 1000+ steps ahead of the Bellagio fountains.
As for F!, I rather see it at DHS, than at DL. The venue at DHS is made for F! and therefore, presents more of a show than the tight RoA lagoon. IMHO (and it is all mine), there a few attractions at WDW that are better then DL and F! is one of them.

I agree Liza. Every time I see this show live at the viewing area, it just gets better and better. I already know all the scenes of the show and can't stop listening to the music. I wish they had a CD for this show. I can't count youtube as one of them.

Bret, maybe, they will. I definitely can see that happening.

Whenever I look at the pictures my DD takes of the WOC (she takes them for me), I am amazed at the brilliant colors the fountains take. The colors are so clear and well defined, especially the rods of water that rise up from the lagoon. The Imagineers that develop the WOC show have a great gift for melding the music, theme and water and color effects into a wonderful show. Last year, I had the privilege of staying in a room facing the WOC. For the three nights we were there, they were working on the Tron segment for the WOC. It was a treat to see the segment evolve from a "play" with the lasers, water and color into the final testing.

Thanks for the monthy bump, Hydroguy! I'll play along.
I went with RDCT, though F! is a very close second.
WoC is a great show, absolutely beautiful, but it just doesn't tug on the old heartstrings in that Disney manner that RDCT does so perfectly.

So glad you bumped it to the front. I was going to vote when you first posted but we were on our way to WDW last fall and wanted to see WDW F! and Wishes to have all the shows fresh in my mind. Then of course, life got in the way until now. I voted for RDCT just barely over WOC. My DH and I are the children that watched the TV show WOC along with that signature song but RDCT brings me to tears every time. And this last Saturday sealed the deal. We brought our DGD (16 mos) and managed to keep her entertained until the show began. And when Tink flew over the castle, our DGD started shouting "Whoa, whoa, whoa"...yep, tears. It was one of those moments you don't get on film but you "remember" as a Disney memory.

This is a very easy question, but it's also a tough one. There are soooo many angles you can look at this from. Emotional states, do you have children who have a preference or get scared easily? Do you mind risking getting a fast pass for a particular seating area, waiting all evening for your shows, or spending extra money to get a decent spot and save a small bit of time waiting? The pro's and cons are endless. I know that people may have a preference over shows, but also here is a question... If everyone had the option of getting the best seats for each show and not having to spend extra money and wait for up to 2 hours, do you think they would enjoy it more?

My personal fav's in order...

I kind of have to say Fantasmic. I am all about "Classic Disney", and they way that they put it together with all their props blows me away. Having children too I find that they prefer seeing Fantasmic as it's more "Interactive" in a way, there is something for both boys, girls in a realistic sense, and there' just so much more going on to see. I can also stand in Frontierland and watch the fireworks from that area after Fantasmic is over. So I dont feel like I am missing much in the way of shows. I feel like I can pack more into a one time shot deal. I also really enjoy Big Thunder Mountain at night time when the fireworks are going off.

Having only done the World of color by dinner package (And we always do one or two dinner packages a trip) it comes in a close 2nd. It's new, it's very colorful, it incorporates characters & music you don't normally see or hear anywhere in the park. It can be intense but I really enjoy seeing certain movie scenes that I have grown up to love put into a show. The only thing I dont like is having to work my whole evening around that one show. However you do the same thing with all the major shows... Even Aladdin you have to line up at a decent time to get a non nosebleed section.


So that brings RDCT to a 3rd option. I do love this show, and it's meant to be seen in front of the castle where i've seen it multiple times. It's gorgeous, it's emotional, but I would choose getting a better seat for Fantasmic over seeing the Fireworks as I can see the works from another area of the park.

I know, I know...I just voted for RDCT, still love that show BUT, there's always a BUT. Last night, we decided to forgo our usual Carnation Gardens swing band/fireworks night because of the crowds going in for the Pirates event. Went early to DCA at 5 pm and got WOC FP in the red zone. Now we haven't ever done the FP. We were able to see one of the CM previews, usually watch from the back side on Paradise Pier and two times at the late show, security let us watch from the blue zone in the back. Haven't ever been really close until last night. I am now conflicted in which is my favorite. Maybe those weren't tears on my face but the "heavy mist"

Easily Fantasmic for me. I feel like it has more dimension to it having live action, animation, and all the other fx. It's much more captivating to me. While I really like both the other shows I'll have to put RDCT at second because WOC just seems to take more effort/time to get a decent view. And I think that gives F! the lead!
