We are staying 3 nights and BWV then moving to VWL for 3 nights because of availability. The CM said that Disney would move our luggage. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

Yes, we did this too. It was great. We left in the morning, moved to our other resort, and the bags were there! That's why it's great to stay on property.

We've used it twice. One time it worked flawlessly. The other time they delivered our bags to the wrong room. They insisted that nobody had checked into the room where my bags had been delivered. Still, the idea of someone having free access to my things, causes great concern. Granted, most of it is laundry, but there were also some valuables included.

It's great, but it also gives you two additional opportunities to tip bell services for handling your luggage, once at each resort.

We're doing that this weekend. OKW studio Fri and then we're just gonna throw our bag in the car and move to a 1BR Sat. No tipping neccesary:D .

Differing opinion:
We moved from The Poly Concierge to VWL. We asked the bellman to transfer baggage to VWL, and he gave us somewhat of a hard time. He INSISTED it would be easier to do it ourselves, as he said "we don't do transfers until 4:00, and you can do it quicker yourselves." We stayed in concierge at the Poly, and the concierge promised us this would not be a problem. The bellman had a different story. We ended up packing the car, driving to VWL, and unloading at VWL......No big deal, but I was disenchanted with the service from Poly Concierge.

Good luck........

When we stayed at BCV last summer the bell service person tried to talk us out of having them transfer our bags too. Since we had used this service many, many times over the years we insisted on the transfer and it went fine. He kept saying , but it won't be there until at least 4:00....I said it's OK neither will we.

We had our bags transferred from BCV to AKL in December. We were not given a hard time or any warnings, and our bags were at AKL when we checked in at 3:00, though there was a short delay in finding them.

We had two transfers last time and only one problem--when they transferred our bags from the Poly to the VWL they put them on the "outgoing' rack, so they went right back to the Poly! When I called for my bags they figured it out and sent a special car over to get our stuff.

I had two transfers this past December and it worked out great. I called ahead of time to make sure they would do this though and glad I did because I was moving from OKW to the Swan and at OKW they told me, when I called to tell them we were ready to check out and find out how to have our bags transferred, that they don't normally do this. I told them I called a few weeks before my arrival to make sure they did do this and they told me they did. From Swan to OKW it was a breeze. All I had to do when I got back to OKW that night, because bags wouldn't be guaranteed to be there before 3pm, was to call to the Bell Services and they would bring it right up and they did! And I gave them a very nice tip because it was raining when they brought it up. No problems at all - I would NOT hesitate doing it again. Anything I needed I made sure I put in a carry on bag that I brought myself. They even were very happy to handle my beverages that were left over too.

We did this last week, it worked great. The bellman even placed our food in the storage fridge. We made a mistake and left a frozen pizza in the fridge bag. When we received our bags back the frozen pizza had been placed in the freezer and everything else in the fridge.

We've transferred twice. Both times went very smoothly.

The first was from All-Stars to OKW. This was actually the most convenient - we left our packed bags in the room and just left. They were moved sometime during the day.

The second was from BWV to OKW. For this one, had to call Bell Services to come get the bags (I suppose we could have carted them down) and groceries to be stored, then they were transferred to OKW sometime during the day.

As has already been mentioned, the BWV approach gave us another opportunity to tip a bellman. Also, had to wait around for someone to tag the bags before we could go to the park.

The All-Star approach was much nicer. Called the night before to arrange the move (told them how many bags), then just left in the morning on our schedule with the bags packed and waiting for pick-up in the room.

I have had only good service with changing over baggage from one resort to another.Give it a try but make a list of what you send.
