Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

I forgot to answer this question for MK! But I guess it doesn't really matter overall - we don't have a pattern of any sort. Since Henry is little we go straight back to Fantasyland at MK. Our first ride varies - it was Pooh in December. It was Dumbo last September. This September it will probably be Dumbo again or the Teacups. If it was just Joe and I it would be Space Mountain.

Epcot - for the past couple trips Soarin' FPs were grabbed and then straight to Nemo.

As for favorite eats in Epcot - we really enjoyed Biergarten! We've only done LeCellier and Biergarten and a variety of CS' though...so not much to choose from! I'm really excited about Rose and Crown, that warm salad sounds DELISH.

 13 days does sound fabulous!

Your Epcot day sounds wonderful! I love your relaxed approach! It's perfect!

First ride in Epcot has to be SSE! I know every touring plan ever says not to do that but I don't care! It's just not a trip to Epcot with out SSE first!

Favorite food in Epcot, the tomato stack at Le Cellier!

Soarin' would be the first ride!

As far as favorite place to eat the jury is still out. I would like to try a few more TS before I choose. Now, my favorite CS there would be Sunshine Seasons.

Sounds like a great day! We always shoot to Soarin as well. It is awesome! Then a little Figment, a little Nemo, FP for TT. We have only eaten at one table service WS. You are welcome, people without kids!:rotfl:
It was R&C. I loved it BUT we are not going to repeat. I think we are shooting for only one TS meal that is not family-style or buffet because I have 2 under 3 and we need them to eat for free! So it looks like it will be LeCellier for lunch. But it may be Chefs de France in France or I may get wild and make it Marrakesh just to ensure we get that far around WS! :confused3
Is Remy still at CdF? That would be a big hit with my 3 but my mom would probably hate it. She HATES that movie because of the thought of rats in a kitchen. It totally skeeves her out!

Hmmm....Chefs is really good and Remy is a cute addition. He is still there. But if I had to choose from those two, I'd go with Le Cellier without a doubt.

It's going. Still training. It's a LOT to absorb but hopefully by the end of it, I'll be ready for the real thing.

You actually got a good picture of her! This is the gal Liesa said I should be for Halloween :lmao:

Good luck! That time is probably more likely for you to get in. Plus you're small party so your chances are good.

Soarin', Soarin', Soarin', Soarin', and.... oh yeah, Soarin' :rotfl2:

Favourite eating place is Le Cellier (I just love the Mushroom Filet and Maple Creme Brulee -- and the service is great too ;) )
I think Jen took that picture in January so I can't take the credit. I totally think you should dress as her for MNSSHP. That would be hilarious and I bet the CMs would get a big kick out of your costume.

Glad the job is going well. :goodvibes

13 days!!! Holy crap the time is flying by!!

First ride in Epcot...it has always been Spaceship Earth! Combination of the big Epcot ball staring you in the face and it just feels like I'm in Epcot when I'm on that ride...plus, once I'm in World Showcase, we usually never come back and ride anything on the Future side.
Favorite eating place..lately it has been Beaches and Cream...but we love us some Fish and Chips from the Yorkshire Fish Shop! :thumbsup2
It's not flying by fast enough for me.

I love those Fish & Chips from Yorkshire Fish Shop, they are really delicious.

At Epcot, the first place we head for is Soarin'! It literally takes my breath away when you first lift off. The music is so beautiful too. We typically grab FP's first then jump in the standby line.

My favorite CS place at Epcot is hands down Sunshine Seasons. My DH and I typically split the 1/2 rotisserie chicken and get the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Amazing!!! For TS meals...it's quite a toss up. We did Le Cellier last year and (no flames please!) we just kind of liked it. The beer cheese soup always get rave reviews on the DIS, but we just didn't like it. We've had better here at home. However, the pretzel bread was amazing. We both had the filet and it was good. We did Akershus for breakfast and it was just a typical breakfast for us, except the potatoes!!!! Yum!

My fav growing up was Alfredo's (rest in peace). It was a tradition. We're trying Garden Grill and Via Napoli next month, so maybe one of those will become my fav Epcot TS meal.
Sunshine Seasons is very very good! I love the strawberry shortcake, DELISH!!

We won't flame you for not loving Le Cellier, just means there is more room for us to eat there. ;):lmao:

Don't forget that Yorkshire Pudding at R&C ;)
Hmmmmm first place I head...either TT or Soarin.....although SE really IS Epcot....and it reminds me of when I was young. And didn't like Epcot
Oooh favorite eatery.....Le Cellier, The Ditch (they do have food ;)) Biergarten, Rose and Crown....too hard to choose...I spend a lot of time eating in WS!! :rotfl2:

Tracy
No yorkshire pudding for me this time around. I'm not able to eat a whole lot of bread products *mourn mourn mourn delicious rolls* so I'll skip the yorkshire pudding for a few french fries.

I saw a picture of the Crab Nachos or something like that at the ditch and now I want to go there very badly! They look awesome.

YAY for 13 days!! WOOT WOOT!!! So excited for you!!!

Hmmmm...first ride...well it depends on the Park...if it's EPCOT I go on Soarin, if it's Animal Kingdom I go on the Safari, if DHS...definitely TSM, and Magic Kingdom...of course HM LOL!!!

OOOH...Rose and Crown is one of my favorites, as is Brown Derby...love them both always make a ressie at both LOL!!!
Shhh!! We haven't done DHS or AK yet, you are jumping ahead!! :rotfl2:

SE definitely! It's just quintessential EPCOT :goodvibes
It really is.

After the last two trips, my first ride is almost always going to be Soarin! Depends if I get there at rope drop. Otherwise Spaceship Earth!

Favorite restaurant? I agree, almost like picking my favorite child! I've been lucky enough to enjoy almost every meal and not have any really bad ones. We loved Teppan Edo and LeCellier, but I think I'd go with either Tutto Italia or Chefs de France. They were great! It's all really too hard to pick! There's a couple left I want to try, but I'd go back to any of those again for sure!!

I'm glad you're not doing FB updates if it's just you and Marc. I was able to do some only because I would be waiting for the kids or something, so I had a few minutes here and there. I think it's important that the two of you really enjoy your trip and not be concerned with the rest of the world!!! Just keep a good journal for the TR!! ;)
I'm the same, if I'm not there at Rope Drop then Spaceship Earth is the first ride.

I really do want to concentrate on our trip. I get stressed out by the updates too, wondering if I'm doing enough or too many. I just rather be in the moment. :goodvibes

I'm telling you... she's the grooviest thing since Peter Brady!!
Agreed!

Rose & Crown is so delicious. The warm salad was awesome. I'm not a huge salad fan but Jen & I decided to split it and YUM. So good!

Soarin' and fish and chips! Perfect Epcot experiences! :thumbsup2

Lots of pixie dust that you can snag a Le Cellier lunch ressie! :wizard:
Thanks. I won't be too sad if we don't. We have some great places to eat.

I'm loving the relaxed approach too. I actually think I'm going to make a big list of everything that I might want to do besides the normal rides and such just so I don't forget of things that I've read about or want to try.

Soarin' would be the first ride!

As far as favorite place to eat the jury is still out. I would like to try a few more TS before I choose. Now, my favorite CS there would be Sunshine Seasons.
I think that is wise, you want to have the full story before you pick your favorite.

I think Epcot is the only park where I never follow a definite plan and really just wing the entire day. I will usually head to Soarin first to grab fastpasses, but I don't always necessarily ride it then. I guess either that or Test Track would be my first attraction depending on my mood.

Favorite food at Epcot would have to be at Sunshine Seasons. (I know I'm weird - a CS place not a TS). I always get the same italian sandwich with a key lime tart for desert. Delicious! I love the key lime tart. So good! If I had to say a TS place it would probably be the Mexican place. Oddly enough the only TS places I've eaten at Epcot for dinner are Mexico and Canada.

I didn't realize Sunshine Seasons has a key lime tart, Marc really likes key lime things. I will have to put that on the list!

I like reading what the patterns/traditions are of everyone, it's really interesting!

I never got to yesterday's question, so I am gonna get this in under the wire. At Epcot, the FP runner goes to get Soarin FPs and the other parent gets in line at the Character Connection. Since we have people who have to sit out on Soarin, we only ride with FPs for now. This way, we get the characters out of the way while the lines are short and they are fresh. ;) From there, we follow Brook onto Nemo and then Crush.

As far as food goes, Sunshine Seasons for a counter service gets the top nod for us. If we are talking table service, I think I'd have to go with Teppen Edo. My kids LOVED the hibachi grill. Happy kids = happy mom = gets to enjoy her dinner!

12 days! 12 days!

And more importantly 7 days until my Birthday!

Only 1 more work Monday, 2 total Mondays.

Time is slowly passing and our trip will be here soon. :dance3:

In Two Weeks, we'll be enjoying Day 3 of Disney.

Our loose plans are call for this to happen...

Rope Drop at Hollywood Studios. Hooray for Hollywood!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2041.jpg

The plan is for me to brave the Toy Story Mania Stampede for fastpasses and a standby ride. If I'm not feeling riding by myself I might just wander around. We'll see.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2045.jpg

Marc will be headed in a different direction. Tower of Terror and maybe Rock N' Rollercoaster. I will be far far away for these happenings. :scared1:

Tower_of_Terror_Lobby_Elevator_at_TDS.jpg

Marc & I will meet back up and take part in these Hollywood delights.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2053.jpg

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2086.jpg

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2068.jpg

And much more I am sure! We have discussed maybe taking the boat over to the Boardwalk area (there is a boat from DHS to there, right? I'm 99% sure there is.) Who knows. We'll see what strikes our fancy when we get there.

I do know that we will be eating here for dinner.

BRDERB_1_998.jpg

I will also be requesting to sit in a booth. I've sat in a booth the last two times and I think it just adds to the old Hollywood feel to sit in one of those super special booths.

I will probably be partaking in two of these, which two do you think??
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2315.jpg

Have I told you about my goal to eat as much Disney cheesecake as possible? ;)
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2316.jpg

So those are our loose plans for this day. It should be a great Disney day. I love Hollywood Studios. It is a smaller park so I don't get the exhaustion that I do when I'm in the other parks.

So for a different kind of question. This one is inspired by my desire to kick Marc's butt in Toy Story Mania. What is your very favorite Disney World attraction that requires 3D glasses?? It can be a show or a ride.

Me? I'm having a hard time deciding between Mickey's Philharmagic and Toy Story Mania. I think Philharmagic wins by a grain of pixie dust for me. :tinker:

Great plans! I love me some RNRC and ToT though. That cheesecake looks so yummy!

My favorite things that require 3D glasses are also TSMM and Philharmagic. Madison just adored Philharmagic last June (it was closed for refurb last Jan) and it never gets old. TSMM is just so unique that I can't leave it off the list. I just wish that all 3 of us could sit together. We can all fit on one side, but then one of us wouldn't be able to play.

Why can't we have cheesecake here right now?
:confused3:laughing:
What happened to you doing the queue at ToT? There are a lot of people who do it. Lots of moms who exit at the chicken exit. You are really missing out. Why not get FP for TSM while he rides RNRC and then meet up for ToT? I guess that isn't really fair that he gets to ride two big rides before you really do anything. But it is a really great queue! And now I am arguing with myself!!:rotfl:

What was the question again?
:upsidedow
Oh yeah, glasses. Well, we have the TSM wii game so I'm not nearly as excited for it as I was last time. Plus Brady and Colin will be too little to really get the whole shooting. For me it is Philharmagic without a doubt. I love it. After we rode it last time Abby kept calling it Fill-My-Heart-With-Magic...And it really does!

For me, it's Philharmagic. That ride just sums up all of Disney all at once. The magic, the music, the lovable characters. You cannot get that anywhere else on Earth!! Of course, I will be doing a TSM dash at rope drop because I do love that, just not quite as much.

Good one with the 3D glasses! :3dglasses I guess for me it is a toss up between TSM or ITTBAB...ITTBAB always cracks me up and maybe makes me smile a little when I know all of the kids are afraid :rotfl2: And every time I see a bee in my backyard "We're pollinators" pops into my head! :rotfl2: Good thing I have it on the 4 parks CD :laughing:However TSM brings out my uber competitive side :rotfl:
Mmmmm BD looks so good....I had a dinner reservation there but I just changed it to California Grill. I will miss the salad but might pop in later in the week for lunch ;)

Tracy

ps...don't forget to try and fit in some time at the Animation Academy for some drawing...so much fun!

I'm sure our first rides will change a lot once we have kids.

I do want to try the hibachi grill, but for some reason it intimidates me. I don't know. :lmao:

That is a bummer that you can sit together. It must be hard when one person has to play by themselves.

Sure. Let me telepathically beam you a piece. *Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm* Did it work? ;)

To be honest, I have no desire to be around ToT for the fear that I might get stuck riding it. That is my idea of torture. Marc really wants me to see it, that was the only reason I was considering it. It makes me nauseous just thinking about being near there. :rotfl2:

Awww! I like that, fill your heart with magic! So cute.
For me, it's Philharmagic. That ride just sums up all of Disney all at once. The magic, the music, the lovable characters. You cannot get that anywhere else on Earth!! Of course, I will be doing a TSM dash at rope drop because I do love that, just not quite as much.
It really does such a good job of it. :goodvibes

I now have We're Pollinators stuck in my head. :lmao:

TSM makes me very very VERY competitive, just ask Jen. :rotfl:

I vote for Philarmagic! I love sorcerer mickey and that music is so fun!

I enjoyed the salad at Brown Derby and we thought it was cool to sit in the booth too! DH didn't think it was worth 2TS compared to Boma, so if we go back it will be OOP.

YES there is a boat from DHS to Boardwalk. It stops at Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk and YC/BC. It is a very nice ride! But don't take it if you're in a hurry. ;)

Yes there is a boat! When you exit DHS, it's on the left.

Favorite 3D....I'd have to go with TSM although honestly, it's tough to be a bug is up there for me!

ps.....TR is up!

For me it's a toss up between TSM and Mickey's Philharmagic. I really do love the Philharmagic though, because it's the only 3D show experience that doesn't scare anyone, kwim? :goodvibes

You know the streetmosphere actors you have in your first picture? Did you know that during slower times, they actually come into the Brown Derby and start interacting with the guests? Mom and I learned that the hard way in January, but it was hilarious! :lmao:
