Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Oook, first Epcot ride, well if I had my way it would always be Soarin', but sometimes when we get there the wait is too long so SSE is first.
My favorite place to eat (of the places I've tried) would have to be Teppan Edo. It is soooo much fun and I really enjoy the food. :goodvibes

My favorite 3D is the Philharmagic, for me it's just pure Disney!

I vote for Philarmagic! I love sorcerer mickey and that music is so fun!

I enjoyed the salad at Brown Derby and we thought it was cool to sit in the booth too! DH didn't think it was worth 2TS compared to Boma, so if we go back it will be OOP.

YES there is a boat from DHS to Boardwalk. It stops at Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk and YC/BC. It is a very nice ride! But don't take it if you're in a hurry. ;)
I adore sitting in the booths. I agree with your DH, Brown Derby is not work the 2TS credits, I think it's a better deal to pay OOP and save your credits.

Yes there is a boat! When you exit DHS, it's on the left.

Favorite 3D....I'd have to go with TSM although honestly, it's tough to be a bug is up there for me!

ps.....TR is up!
I'm excited about the boat...I'm a simple person really. :rotfl2:

For me it's a toss up between TSM and Mickey's Philharmagic. I really do love the Philharmagic though, because it's the only 3D show experience that doesn't scare anyone, kwim? :goodvibes

You know the streetmosphere actors you have in your first picture? Did you know that during slower times, they actually come into the Brown Derby and start interacting with the guests? Mom and I learned that the hard way in January, but it was hilarious! :lmao:
That is a good point about Philharmagic not scaring everyone.

I didn't know that, how fun!!

Philharmagic is pure Disney, I love it too. :wizard:

Everyone is commenting on Philharmagic....which I haven't done since 2006! :rolleyes1 We were going to do it in 2008 but Henry was freaaaaaaking at every 3D show, so we skipped it and just haven't made it back since.

IT IS ON THE LIST for this trip! We are GONNA DO IT!

Yes, there is a boat over to the BW area! It's a great ride!

I will probably be partaking in two of these, which two do you think??
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2315.jpg

Cobb Salad and hmmm...the ravoli.

My favorite 3D glasses attraction/show probably has to be TSM. I can't remember much of Philharmagic - so perhaps after I have a more recent tasting of 3D shows my answer will change!

And 12 days sounds so much better than 13!! I see how this works!! Your plans look terrific! Will you be continuing your quest to find doors that open on the Streets of America? I know you will enjoy Brown Derby and totally agree with you on the booths! :thumbsup2

I think my favorite 3D is Muppets. I know it's outdated and needs a refurb but I loved the Muppet Show so much as a kid and I love looking around the queue and pre-show area.

One more work Monday... WooHoo!! :goodvibes

Favorite 3D......??????

I am going to have to side with Tracy on ITTBAB! I absolutely loved that show the first time I saw it, so it remains a classic. TSM is great, but I forget that its 3-D. I really love the muppets, too. Believe it or not I sometimes find Philarmargic to be a little loud and sometimes it feels like a bit of sensory overload for me. I have watched it a couple times when it just feels like too much - usually when I am overly tired.

Hurray for 12 days!!! We just keep taking a day off, don't we? :goodvibes

Brown Derby and Hollywood Studios! A double hurray for those two!!!

Oh, I think you should wander over to ToT with Marc and take a peek in the gift shop, and get some great shots over there. That's what I always do!

12 days! Wahoo!!

Favorite 3D ride? I don't know, Blake and I always love the Bug's Life show, we love taking pictures of us with our honorary bug glasses on :goodvibes
But, there's always love for TSM, just can't beat it!

Brown Derby and Hollywood Studios! A double hurray for those two!!!

Oh, I think you should wander over to ToT with Marc and take a peek in the gift shop, and get some great shots over there. That's what I always do!

I just showed Tom the BD food pics. Darnit, now he wants to eat there too!

And I'm with CP at least check ut the dump shop.
I am getting one of those room key chains that CP got on one of her trips. It is the only souvie that I know I will get this trip.

OOOH why do you ask the tough questions....hmmm favorite 3D...going to haev to agree on you on this one by just a bit I think Philharmagic wins!!!

You are going to have a great DHS day!! I just love that park, sometimes I think it wins in the most beloved park...but only sometimes LOL!!!

Hmmm...I'm going to guess the salad and the crab cake as my two choices for what you'll have at Brown Derby and it makes me smile to see that cheesecake, it is WONDERFUL. Thanks to you it might have trumped my creme brulee there LOL!!!!

Sending you lots of pixie dust for your final!!! I know you will do fantastic!!!!

Starting full-time work again stinks! How am I supposed to keep up on the Dis and all your plans!?

I'm sorry you gave up the Poly but I think an AP is an excellent reason for it!!

if I remember your daily questions right...
  • favorite MK land, probably have to go with frontierland because of BTMRR and splash!
  • least favorite, I'm tempted to say liberty square but I would never give up HM so I'm torn, if I had to give up one land entirely I'd have to say toon town but I do love the houses!
  • first ride at Epcot, definitely Soarin!
  • favorite atttraction with 3D glasses, TSMM is right up there but I say Philharmagic wins out by just a hair!
  • which 2 foods, I'm gonna say the cobb salad and ravioli

I'm gonna do my best to keep up for single digit dancing and your send off!

Given that I've been away from the DIS for about 2 weeks, I estimate I have about 93 pages of stuff to catch up with on this here report. ;)

Hoping to do that today.

And wow, if your trip is almost here then that means mine is too!

:thumbsup2

Leslie, Leslie, Leslie.....
Catching up again!
Changes?
Not surprised in the least.;)
You are going to love your AP and the TIW card!
Be sure to take a look at the AP pins you can purchase!
They have some very cool ones! I know you will come back with something!
I know you won't be surprised by the first ride we hit up at MK when Baylor is with us, BTMRR....

Share that Cobb Salad, Crab Cakes, and most certainly CHEESE CAKE!!!

Would you even consider riding TOT with Marc?

OK PTR Updater Extraordinaire, I've caught up and read them all and...

From '27 Days...': My favorite ride dump shop would have to be TOT. The theming of that ride is just so amazing that when I walk out into the dump shop after I'm all like, "I DO need a bathrobe from a fake hotel!"

From '26 Days...': OMG my POLY! You're staying at my POLY! Tink loves her the Poly.
...
Oh wait. Never mind. I just read the '16 Day' post. :rotfl: Well, maybe someday you'll be Poly-bound.

From '25/24 Days...': Best bread: Pretzel bread from Le Cellier; Best Entree...GOD, woman, I have to DECIDE?! What are you doing to me? Don't you know I'm a LIBRA!!!
:: pant,pant ::
Ok.
I'm calm now.
Best Entree...well, here's how I figured it out. I picked something that is still on the menu (otherwise the Sachetti from Tutto may have won) and that I haven't had more than once (like the fact that I've had just about the EXACT same meal from Cali Grill both times I've been). The winner is: Filete Montuleno from the dinner menu at the San Angel Inn.

Get in my belleh!

From '23 Days...': My favorite animatronic? Oh, that's easy. The one of ME!
epcot-spaceship-earth.jpg

Thanks to ticketmomma's site for the photo!

From '22 Days...': Cheesiest attraction? El Rio de Tiemp...or what is it now? The Gran Fiest Tour. That being said, I ride it every trip. LOL

From '21/20 Days...': I haven't had a character dining experience in a long time (unless you count dining with TK or Missy dining with 'characters' ;) ) but the last one I did was at Chef Mick's with my brother. I have such fond memories of that meal. He was just turning 17 or 18 and we were just learning to like each other. Now we're best friends. :goodvibes

My favorite breakfast thus far is Tonga Toast at Kona. Though I may leave that to BF in Sept. and give the Macadamia Pancakes a try...decisions, decisons!

From 'Teen Dancing...': Oh honey, I LOVE that pic of Walt dancin'! Also, I could never pick one childhood Disney memory I love the most because they ALL involve me gramma, so they're cherished equally. :goodvibes

From '16 Days...': TK is making the shirt I'll wear the day I run the marathon in Feb. I've already started discussing a design with her. I'm so excited. She just does be-A-U-tiful work.

From '15 Days...': Favorite MK Land: I'm with Marc on this one - Adventureland. The theming. The pirates. The Dole Whips. What's not to love?
Least Favorite MK Land: Toon Town

From 'Two Weeks...': Well, in honor of my grams on my first visit to the MK I always 'go left' at the Hub, so my first ride is almost always Pirates. pirate:

From 'Thirteen Days...': Glad to see I made a cameo in my tights in your PTR. ;)
As far as my first ride at Epicot? Whenever I can, I make it SE. Otherwise I always seem to find myself in the Land pavilion, and not necessarily for Soarin'.
There is NO WAY I can pick a favorite place to eat in WS. No. Way. Woman. I like too many things there. So instead, I'll tell you my favorite CS place in all of Epicot is Sunshine Seasons. Particularly the rotisserie and dessert stations. ::yes::

From 'Twelve Days...': Favorite attraction that requires 3-D glasses is a toss-up between Philharmagic and the Muppets. I love them equally.

And I'm done.

LOL

I don't really have a traditional first ride at EPCOT, but more often than not over the past few years it has been Soarin'.

Favorite 3D attraction? I think that might be the hardest question for me yet! It's very close, but I'm going to say MuppetVision. It just has everything- a great queue, awesome preshow, fun movie, cool special effects, animatronics and Sweetums live in the theater... it's quite the experience!

Everyone is commenting on Philharmagic....which I haven't done since 2006! :rolleyes1 We were going to do it in 2008 but Henry was freaaaaaaking at every 3D show, so we skipped it and just haven't made it back since.

Nope, not those choices. Hopefully you'll get to see Philharmagic this trip, it is so great and I bet Henry would love it now.

I forgot to mention the Streets of America! Yes, I think we might have to poke around there and see what's going on.

Muppets are great, but you are right it needs to a refurb.

I'm very excited about my 1 more work Monday. 4 work days total!

Favorite 3D......??????

I am going to have to side with Tracy on ITTBAB! I absolutely loved that show the first time I saw it, so it remains a classic. TSM is great, but I forget that its 3-D. I think you should watch it when you are not tired. Then you can fully weigh your opinion on it. :rotfl2: I'm awfully demanding, aren't I? ;)

It's funny how these countdowns work! :lmao:

I would like to peek in the gift shop for sure, just not the ride.

12 days! Wahoo!!

Favorite 3D ride? I don't know, Blake and I always love the Bug's Life show, we love taking pictures of us with our honorary bug glasses on :goodvibes

The bug glasses always make cute pictures!

It's the inner teacher in me, I like to give pop quizzes.

I love love DHS, so very much.

Nope, not the salad and crab cake.

Final went well this morning. Out of 100 questions, I think three are wrong for sure. But who knows.

Stupid full time work. Why can't we all just win the lottery??

All good answers. Not the 2 foods. I am going with the ravioli and crab cake for sure. I love the cobb salad but I almost rather try another appetizer than that. Then we can split all three and have a very nice lunch!

Given that I've been away from the DIS for about 2 weeks, I estimate I have about 93 pages of stuff to catch up with on this here report. ;)

Hoping to do that today.

Would you even consider riding TOT with Marc?

I would consider riding TOT if it was just ONE drop. The idea of not knowing when it's going to stop makes me want to puke. I used to have dreams growing up of just falling, falling, falling. I hate that feeling. It makes me feel like I'm going to die. I know...I'm weird.

I totally forgot about the AP pins. Where do I go to see them??

OK PTR Updater Extraordinaire, I've caught up and read them all and...

Oh my! Look at you, you really did catch up. :rotfl2:

I knew you would be excited and then not so excited about the Poly coming and going.

If you didn't have such a rocking MNSSHP costume, I would FORCE you to dress up as the lovely Epcot yellow tights girl. It is totally you. ;)

I'm very excited to see what kind of shirt TK comes up with for you. It will be mahhhh-vah-lous. I may or may not be thinking of January shirts already. :rotfl2:

I don't really have a traditional first ride at EPCOT, but more often than not over the past few years it has been Soarin'.

Really, the hardest question yet? Oooh, I must come up with harder ones. :rotfl2:

Good answer though, I do love the muppets myself.

I just realized about 5 minutes ago that tomorrow is Online Check In day!! Now that REALLY makes the trip feel close. ;)

In Two Weeks....

We will be spending the day at Animal Kingdom!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2540.jpg

The park that Marc has never been too and reminds me of all the time.

We will head to Expedition Everest first. I'm still not 100% I'm going to ride. For some reason the thought of going backwards makes me freak out. Plus those supposed fake screams that I heard in January, well...they didn't help.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2455.jpg

Other things we'd like to do are....

Dinosaur.

Kilimanjaro Safari.

It's Tough to Be a Bug.

DisneyJanuary2010276.jpg

Finding Nemo: The Musical
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2567.jpg

Of course we will be indulging in the best burger in the whole wide world, not just Disney World.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2505.jpg

*drool*

I have missed you Kobe Beef Burger. We will be splitting this for sure so I don't make myself sick again. We'll be indulging in dessert as well. I think we might live dangerously and get two instead of splitting. We shall see.

My main goal at Animal Kingdom is to enjoy the park and not get overwhelmed. It's Marc's first time there so I really want him to enjoy it, which is why I agreed to go on Dinosaur. I feel as though I can't skip all the rides he wants to go on. :lmao: I had a good time in AK in January so I hope to repeat that even though it will be warmer. No long sleeves for me this time. I will miss them.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2525.jpg

After our Animal Kingdom day, who knows what we will do. Do you see a theme here? We've talked about adding an ADR the day of, depending on how we are feeling. Or maybe checking out the Boardwalk area, or taking a boat to DTD from Riverside. I do need my ice cream from Ghiradellhi's afterall! Not to mention the lovely bbq chicken quesadilla from Wolfgang Puck Express.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2003.jpg

So there you have it. Day 4 of our Disney trip.

As for the question of the day...Hmmmmm.

If you could have one food item shipped to your house from Disney, what would it be?

I've thought long and hard about this one. It's not the Cream Cheese Pretzel, even though I do love it. I'll tell you...I'm having a really hard time eating bread and I honestly don't think I will even be attempting to eat a Cream Cheese Pretzel on this trip. Sad, yes. But I don't want to eat something that I know I will have a hard time with and make myself sick.

I think if I could have anything shipped to my house it would be the Haight Ashberry Sundae from Ghiradellhi.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2012.jpg

Yum.

You?

I hope Marc has a fantastic first day at AK!! :cool1: It is such a lovely park. I just hope the weather isn't too hot for you...

Personally I would rather skip Dinosaur over EE. I think EE is much less jerky and less frightening than the horrible Dinosaur thing...

And food item to be shipped to my house??? I guess you don't mean a restaurant dish (which would be the wonderful Flying Fish steak)... I think I take the Goofy's Candy Company marshmalllows covered in dark chocolate and m&m's!!

Oh no, it can be a restaurant dish for sure. The sky is the limit!

I don't remember Dinosaur at all. Honestly, I'd like to skip both of them. :rotfl2:

Food item shipped to my house. Hmmmn. That is a tough one. I'd have to go with the Raglan Road Bread pudding. Which wouldn't ship well at all.
