Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Cool! The cats have that look on their faces like, "Do you mind?" Those panoramic shots are really neat! You're going to get some great shots with that at Disney!

Especially Sully. He always looks like Mr. Grouch. :rotfl:

When I woke up this morning my first thought was all the panoramic photos I can take. :lmao:

Is it wrong that I'm looking forward to this picture? :rotfl:

It is ugly.
Very ugly.
And sad.
I am scarred for life, I am afraid. :sad1:

Jill paid good money for those, too.
I ate one, and I think she ate a bite of one.

It was the last few hours of the trip, so you should be seeing it about June 28th or 29th...somwhere in that time frame. We leave the 30th, and you know how our reports go - one ends when another begins.

A Crystal Palace birthday breakfast is awesome! :cool1:

That really stinks that you didn't even get to enjoy any of them.

I'm very excited for my Crystal Palace breakfast, it will be a great way to ring in my 28th year.

I think you might even need to make a list of the panoramics you want the most.
Hmmm...a list? Something new and different for me. :rotfl2:

I want a panoramic of the before park opening Main Street!!!!!! I have plans for that picture!!!!

Oh wait are we allowed to make requests? :rolleyes1

I see I have yet to lose my first on the next page curse yet!

I think Ruby and Sully are the best sports eva!
The panoramic shots are just superb!
The Marc that lives at my house just told me that his camera can do them too....
I'm like what the heck?
What is wrong with this man......

He's just telling you this NOW????? Well at least he didn't wait until after this trip too LOL!!

Think of the sunset pictures you could get on the cruise on panoramic setting!!!!!

My Canon did them too but you had to use this feature called Stitch Assist so you had to line up the shots just so and it was really frustrating...especially since I'm a perfectionist so I never really tried at Disney. Unless you count my dismal attempt of one at WS. :rotfl2:

This is actually one of the last pictures we have from our Mother's Day trip. We went to DTD and left 4 of them in the car. Maybe 3 1/2, as Jill might have eaten part of one, and I know I ate one. When I reached down to get them, I saw dead zebra domes, and it was not a pretty sight.

I plan to put the picture up when the time comes, but I hope I don't traumatize CP and other zebra dome lovers.
It is a picture that is sadly etched in my mind.

I KNOW!!!! :lmao: It was a rather sad sight!!! :rotfl: Come to think of it, I think I was thinking of CP too, when I saw the demise of the Zebra Domes... ;) I guess I would alert her to the photo, so she doesn't have to "see" it :lmao:

Your camera pics are great, LL! I like the panorama shots, truly. Can make a great ticker with those!!!! :thumbsup2

I think a Zebra Dome Murder alert is a very good idea.

:scared1: I didn't even think of that!! You are so smart!!

I have some trip related news. I wasn't planning on telling you until the news was "official" but the update I'm planning for 100 days until Disney tomorrow will ruin that.

Marc & I have been watching our new Disney Planning DVD this week. I'm a sucker for that thing. I've been watching the resort clips they have over and over feeling a longing of some sort. I finally pin pointed the longing and it was to do a split stay.

It's okay. Calm down, I'm not giving up on Riverside. I just feel as though this will probably be Marc & I's last trip together before we have kiddos if things go according to plan and I really want to live it up. So we discussed maybe taking 1 night away from Riverside and then extending our trip by 1 night, which would mean 6 nights at Riverside and 2 nights at another resort.

We looked at ALL of the deluxe resorts. We narrowed down our choices to Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club and Yacht Club. We liked the idea of being so close to the Epcot area. We also liked Animal Kingdom Lodge, I really want to get over there and explore. Of course in order to do this split stay we'd have to give up the Walt tour. I was willing to price it out and see if we thought a split stay would be worth it.

It's not. It was a little over $400 to add 2 nights at Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht Club. I wasn't feeling it with that price. I mean, I knew it was going to be expensive but I think a decent price makes moving resorts more worth it. So in my head price + moving resorts didn't add up to something I wanted to do.

Then I got to thinking....

Which is very dangerous for me when I'm planning a Disney trip.

What if we still bailed on the tour and added two more nights to Riverside!?

Brilliant if I do say so myself.

Here was the thought process in my head.

Walt tour for $200 plus tax = 3 hours.
Roughly $200 more at Riverside = 2 Nights!

I mean for the same amount of money we were planning on spending, we could extend our trip for TWO MORE NIGHTS. That amazes me. I really want to do the tour but not as much as I want two more nights of relaxation at Riverside.

The only reason this is up in the air still is that would mean I'd miss three classes not the two I was planning on. I'm just a tad bit uneasy about that, especially since I don't know what teacher I'll be having for that. If it's the teacher I have now...no problem. I've actually emailed the education director at the school to see if he can put me in touch with the teacher I'll have and to have him clarify the attendance policy for me. Honestly, I don't think it will be a problem but is a shorter class than the one I'm in now so that is why I want to get some answers before I extend our trip.

So tentatively, our new trips dates are September 1st - 10th. I'm thinking that instead of a later flight on departure day, I'll opt for a morning flight as on the 11th I'll have 8 hours of class and I'll want to get home and unwind a bit before that.

I'm working on a new itinerary as we speak. The good thing about is that the 4 days I have posted so far are going to stay the same...I think. I think the biggest changes will be more 1/2 days at parks and more down time at the resort. I'm going to be a little flexible in that regard once we get down there and go for what we are feeling like doing at that time. My itinerary serves more like a guideline.

Here are the next two days of the plan.

Day 5 - Sunday 9/5
*Relaxing Morning @ Riverside
*Liberty Tree Tavern @ 2:50PM
*Magic Kingdom (9-10PM, PM EMH's, Spectro 9, Wishes 10)
*Two Things:
- Spectromagic (Front Row Seat!)
- Stay until Park Closing
*QS Dinner

Before we added the days, we were going to be at MK for rope drop again. I think if I want to meet my goal to stay until Park Closing at 1AM for the Extra Magic Hours a later relaxing start will be better.

I want to get a front row seat on the ground for Spectromagic. I loved when Jen and I sat right up against the ropes in January and I can't wait to take some pictures.

I did have to change our LTT ADR for later in the afternoon but I'm pretty sure they will still be serving the lunch menu at this time. It will probably serve as a snack/dinner and we'll probably just snack before and after that, not eating big meals.

Day 6 - Monday 9/6
*Morning @ Riverside
*QS Lunch (Riverside, DTD or Epcot)
*Epcot (9–9)
*Three Things:
- Soarin’
- UK Pavilion
- Illuminations
*Rose & Crown Pub @ 7:50PM

We are going to need a low key morning after hopefully staying at MK until closing the night before. Can I tell you how excited I am for swimming at Riverside? :woohoo:

We'll head to Epcot sometime in the afternoon depending on how motivated we are feeling. I'm very excited about the time we snagged for Rose & Crown. I'm hoping that we'll be able to get an outside patio table so we can watch Illuminations. *Fingers Crossed* I won't let it ruin my night if we can't though.

Does anyone know how long Captain EO is going to be running? I want to see that if it is still going on while we are there.

I'm very excited about the possibility of two more nights. :dance3: Now I need to go study and stop thinking about Disney. :rolleyes1

I'm going to respond to each installment in parts, because by the time I get through everything, I totally forget what I wanted to say.

My only hesitation about the Narcoosee's ressie is that it's so late. I know you're young and way hipper than me and my husband with our one soon to be two kids ;) but having that early ressie at the Crystal Palace (which I love, btw) and then the late dinner just wigs me out, and that's totally personal preference.

As far as getting to the Grand Flo, if you're in the MK, it's not big deal. And I wouldn't worry about "dressing" for dinner. Ask me about the fluke time I ate at Citrico's unexpectedly and what I was wearing then. Trust me, they're not going to turn you away. Sure, it's nice to get dressed up, but you can even do casual dressed up with no issue.

As far as the food there, it's been a long time since I've eaten there. I certainly liked it, but I've never made a point to go back. For me, there are other signatures that I prefer, and that's what I stick with. I will admit, I am totally a creature of habit. :lmao:

I see you solved the Narcoosee's debated and added Jiko the next day! I'm very excited about this one, because I've heard some great things and I can't wait to see how you like it.

I like that your birthday day is no more relaxed than before. Too much rushing on vacation can be exhausting.

And, don't laugh, but I'm so jealous that you get to meet Maroo and Liesa. There, I said it. :lmao:

My itinerary serves more like a guideline.

I had to laugh. Some of my pirate has rubbed off on you, my dear.

:lmao:

I'm excited at the possibility of two more nights but only if it doesn't interfere with your schooling. As long as that works out okay, good for you! More time in Disney is always better in my book. :thumbsup2

Ooooooooohhhh!!!!

I know lots of people around here will disagree with me, but I am of the mind that the deluxe resorts are not worth the cost. I don't go to Disney to spend a lot of time at the hotel so I am very content with having a few less amenities and more money to spend on other things!!

Here's hoping it's no problem with school for you to extend your trip :goodvibes

Two more nights at Riverside is definitely better than the tour!
Maybe you can try to wait for a discount and try for a deluxe for two nights.
