Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

*Liberty Tree Tavern @ 2:50PM
...
I did have to change our LTT ADR for later in the afternoon but I'm pretty sure they will still be serving the lunch menu at this time.

FYI - I recently asked this question of Disney Dining when I made a 3 p.m. ressie for a certain restaurant where I was more specifically interested in the lunch menu and the answer was that dinner menus, for the most part, don't kick in until about 4 p.m. or later.

And I wouldn't worry about "dressing" for dinner.

I concur. I know you've given Narcoosee's the boot at this point but, with the exception of Victoria's and Albert's, I think, this is just univerally true. When BF and I went to Cali Grill for dinner last year, I advised we should be dressy-ish. When we got there and he saw all the shorts and tees and jeans, I got "the look".

Then I gave him "the look" back that said, "Um, yeah, you're the one guy on the planet who lovesLovesLOVES dressing up, so I don't want to hear it."

I love knowing each update their will be changes. I am pretty sure I DIS just to see that there are more people that change their mind more often than I do. Honestly... adding nights, I am all about that. I currently am wishing I had taken DH up on adding a couple of nights to our Beach Club stay this summer..too late now!

I totally understand that this might be your last child free trip at the world. I would really encourage you to eat the yummiest fanciest places, because if you have a little boy like Luke you will be CS forever!
Are you doing a Trip Report for your upcoming trip? I keep meaning to ask you.

WHAT!?! You didn't add nights!?! :scared1: Do we need to revoke your DISing privileges? ;)

I honestly think it will be our last child free trip for a long while. Who knows though, the way Mr. Marc Moneybags is spending money lately maybe he'll suggest another trip sooner rather than later. :rotfl:

Hey Leslie,

Sorry, I tend to fall behind in weekends, as I don't turn on the computer in Sundays. So I missed the Riverside- add 2 more nights posts!! What can I say??!!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Now, our trips overlap even more, and we'll have two nights even at the same resort. Hmmm....

We're planning to catch Yeehaw Bob one night; let us know if you are also.

Missing classes: glad you're thinking ahead on this! Not worth going down a grade because of attendance.
I was wondering if those were nights you were going to be there. I'm not sure about Yeehaw bob but I will let you know. I'm kinda enjoying the idea of two days of no plans. :cloud9:

I had fun passing the time with those updates.

Lost was good, but I think my eyes are still half swollen from crying too much.
I only watched the 2nd season of Lost and when I couldn't keep up I gave up. Maybe someday I will watch all of it.

I was thinking that I had been told or I had read somewhere that the dinner menus do start at 4PM. Normally I wouldn't really care but Tavern Fried Cheese is what I want there and that is not on the dinner menu.

We have been toying with the idea of adding California Grill but I don't know. I don't want to add in too much more and I'm happy with our plans right now.

Can totally see your love affair with NO plans. We have a couple mornings of loosey-goosey non-plans too. :thumbsup2

I'm really quite excited about it, I think the no plans will give the end of our trip a nice relaxing feel to it.

Say it with me?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

I can not wait to relax at Disney! I could really use the relaxation right now but counting down until the relaxation begins is going to have to suffice.

100 days!!

:hyper::jumping1::hyper::jumping1::hyper:

In the past on my TRs, I have done countdowns where I post everyday...I don't have time for that in a 100 day countdown this time around so I'm going to give you a countdown schedule.

100 Days.
99 Days.
90 Days.
80 Days.
70 Days.
65 Days.
60 Days.
50 Days.
40 Days.
30 Days.
20 - 1 Day(s).

Why are we counting down on 65 days?? Well, it's Marc & I's anniversary and I couldn't handle having 29 days of countdowns, I like even numbers so counting down on 65 days means I have 30 days of countdown posts. I mean, if you didn't know I was slightly OCD by now...... :rolleyes1

On my last TR, I counted down with yummy food items I wanted to eat. I'm not doing that this time around because the less I think about food the better off I am on my diet.

I've also done "Where in Disney Am I?" pictures. I like those. They are a lot of fun. So our countdown days will include at least one Where Am I? picture. You can all thank Jen for taking them in January. She took some really good ones too!

In my countdown thinking, I didn't like the idea of just the "Where in Disney Am I?" pictures. I thought about discussing my clothes that I am collecting, Jen suggested counting down with Disney songs, Marc thought I should just post more pictures...nothing was making me 100% happy until....

....I thought of including an LL list in each countdown as well! ;)

I like that idea a lot, it will help me keep organized and we all know I am VERY good at making lists. I think I can come up with 30 of them. :upsidedow

So here we go...the official 100 days until Disney Countdown.

Where in Disney?
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2300.jpg

My list for today is going to be about clothes. I'm obsessed with making sure I have enough tshirts and pants for Disney. In general I'm obsessed with clothes because I'm constantly buying them because I'm growing out of them. I have made a few purchases of tshirts which may or may not be Disney-fied by yours truly. I'm mostly worried about the amount of clothes I need to bring and pants. I don't want to buy a bunch of capri pants because I know they won't fit next summer, I rather spend money on jeans because I can wear them year round. Marc thinks I'm nuts to want to wear jeans in Florida but I don't think there is a HUGE difference in capris, it's not like they are shorts. I don't know what to do though. I'm confused about it.

Clothing List of things I want to bring:
*Blue sundress (have)
*Short Sleeved Sweater for Blue sundress (have)
*8 Tshirts (mostly Disney-ish shirts, ones below are for sure so far)
- Little Mermaid Shirt (being made)
- Birthday Shirt (being made)
- Navy Blue Mickey shirt (bought & ready to go)
*2 Nicer Shirts (will have these I think, from my work wardrobe)
*Short Sleeved Hoodie (have, just for nights? I'm sure that is wishful thinking )
*PJ's (have)
*4 pairs of Pants (jeans, capris, bermuda shorts? Who knows!)
*2 pairs of Yoga Pants (I have two pairs of these that I figure I can wear into the park, they are both capri length)
*Bathing Suit
*Sneakers (want to buy a new pair)
*Black Teva Mush Flip Flops (need to buy)
*Old Navy Flip Flops (have)
*Unmentionables

I thought the list would be a lot longer. Hmmm...maybe I'm not as overwhelmed as I thought I'd be. I figure we'll do laundry at least once as well. I guess the biggest worry is pants. What do you all think about the jeans?

I probably should have taken notes as I got caught up on 5 pages of your PTR, because now suddenly I'm forgetting everything I had comments on. :sad2:

I think the idea of adding on 2 more days is fantastic! More days in Disney is always good. :thumbsup2

I love the new camera photos too. I suddenly want a camera that will take panoramic shots. ;)

I'm thinking that Captain EO and the Main Street Electrical parade with both be around for about a year. Especially the parade....since it probably cost a lot of money to ship it from Disneyland and get everyone trained for it.

I will be so happy if that's true. I'm just so upset that I'm missing the parade. The music for it is hands down my favorite Disney music ever.

Love your ideas for the countdown!!!

UGHHH...if I took the pictures that means I don't get to play the game...LOL!!!!

As far as the clothes go, you know I wear jeans year round and have no problem with it, but I think you should maybe you should bring 1 pair of capris and if you do laundry then you could wear them twice if you would like! Those with your yoga pants would be enough if it is really warm when you are down there!

Can't wait to see you shirts! No shopping for me for awhile so I will have to live vicariously through you!

You're at DHS (maybe even on Sunset Boulevard, but I wouldn't swear to that). :goodvibes

Yeay for 100 days!!!

Like your clothes list. I should do that in the next couple of days -- I know there are a few things we still need.

LOVE your countdown schedule. Guess what?! My 100 days is TOMORROW!!!!

Still thinking on what to do for it though. In fact, I've been thinking for quite a while but no earth-shattering revelation yet...

LL, your lists make me feel better for some strange reason.

And now I get 30 more before your trip? :dance3:

That bench is in DHS. At least I think it is :rotfl:

I love your countdown schedule. I hate odd numbers too.
Teva Mush flip flops :cloud9: I need to get a pair for August. Hmmm, wonder if they'll be on sale soon.

I just realized we're leaving a couple of days before you get to Disney. Our trip is from 8/21-8/30.

LL, my new favorite FL attire is lightweight cargo pants (very lightweight). Particularly the ones that roll into capris. I wore a pair of these last April to US/IOA and to Disney with TK and they are my new wardrobe staple.

I only bring jeans for nights because I find that even though the length isn't THAT much different from capris, a lot of the time the weight of the jean is. It's usually a little thicker.

And I'm on board with that pic being from DHS, but I'm going to say it's from the NY street area...

I'm with Tink on this one. It's not the length of the pant so much as the weight of it, and jeans in Florida heat and humidity is just not a good combo. I would pack some just in case, but have you thought of a lightweight cargo pant that can be converted into capris? Or even a lightweight cargo in general? I understand the hesitation to spend a lot of money on clothes because of your weight loss, but consider that really, you can snag some great items at the end of season sales for not a lot of money, and I think you'll be really glad that you did.

I'm in the same boat with maternity clothes, given that I'm 99% sure this is the last time I'm doing this, I don't want to invest a lot, but at the same time, you have to be comfortable with what you're wearing. It's important.

And, since you plan to do laundry while you're there, even if you had two pairs of capris, in theory you could wear them four times.

I update way too much. It's uncontrollable when I have a PTR, I just like to blab. :rotfl:

Hehehe, sorry that the panoramic bug has bitten you. It really is a cool feature.

Nope, you don't get to play. Sorry.

I tried on some capri pants at Walmart tonight and it's amazing how different the sizes are at different stores, it's really annoying. Nothing fit right and I went away empty handed.

You are correct that it's at DHS and I think the area is Sunset Blvd but I'm not sure. It's kinda in front of the Villain Shop. I thought the little lamb was cute, I made Jen take a picture of it.

LOVE your countdown schedule. Guess what?! My 100 days is TOMORROW!!!!

Still thinking on what to do for it though. In fact, I've been thinking for quite a while but no earth-shattering revelation yet...
WOO HOO for 100 days! I feel pressure to have good countdowns.

LL, your lists make me feel better for some strange reason.

I'm glad my lists comfort you! Is that a ticker I spy?? You will get 29 more if I counted right. :rolleyes1

I second that guess!

Yay for 100 days :cool1:
You are right!

That bench is in DHS. At least I think it is :rotfl:

It is in DHS. I may or may not have bought some Teva flip flops today. Shhhh...let's not tell Marc yet. He might be Mr. Moneybags but he has zero tolerance of shoe buying for some reason. :rotfl2:

Bummer, that we are just going to miss each other!

I've been looking at those at Old Navy. I might have to look more. I'm just not happy with my choices. I want something that I can't find I think. :rotfl2:

The end of season sales is a good idea, I'm hoping Old Navy gets a better of variety of capri pants in soon too, because if I'm going to spend the money I want to wear them now, you know?

Laundry will be probably be done, so at least I don't have to worry about 10 pairs of pants. :rotfl2:

I think your list looks great! But I am getting ahead of myself. YAY big time YAY to adding (maybe) two extra days!! This will give you time to do whatever you didn't do or long to do after your more structured days (those you have 'big plans" for)... You will have less pressure to fill them, then!

Good choices with the packing. I put on a pair of denim capris in October (this was end of Sept first of Oct) and it was HOT. I wish I hadn't worn them... But that is just me, I get hot. So, if you are comfortable in them, then fine. I understand what you are saying about capris and such, but if you did get a pair, would you be able to wear them into the fall up in MA? Is there somewhere you can go to get some inexpensive ones? I personally think denim would just weigh you down in sept. Especially if it rains and they get wet... Just my 2 cents. You gotta wear what is most comfortable! :thumbsup2 The list seems very manageable.

I may have bought some Teva Mush flip flops today too because a certain person ENABLED me, wait that's not strong enough of a word, telepathetically through email made me press the buy button at Amazon!! When Phillip finds out and he ALWAYS does...he's coming straight for that person, I'm telling him I was possessed or something!!!:rotfl2:

27 pages already. Hmm..must take time another day to catch up. Although, by the time I catch up, I'm sure you'll hav 50 pages by then! ;)
Right now...we'll make it short, love the new camera/pano's, loving the itinerary, even if you're thinking of changes already (jealous, you're stretching it out so far! Although you and Mark do need and deserve a nice long vacay together!) Love the new bathing suit! Super cute! I know there's more, but I've forgotten already :rotfl:I shall try my best to keep up!
Pic...I'm sure somebody already guessed, but one of the park benches at DHS?

Leslie, go check at Target, they had some new capris in this weekend. Maybe you can find some there! :goodvibes

:rotfl:

Not sure about the trip report, I had not really planned on it. As for adding nights, it was me... we are gone 10 nights already. I am not sure I can handle 11 days of kids off schedule and not at home...so any longer would be just too much.

Our last childfree trip was a long weekend at WDW/Tampa just before Halloween... it was lots of fun!
