Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Always plotting... I mean planning. ;) I think two more nights sound great. I hope the school thing will work out. :goodvibes

Renting points is a great idea. Maybe Anita has some???? :rotfl: Actually, my coworker, who I'm going to BLT with in Sept ,may have some points to rent. If you are seriously considering renting points pm me and I will ask her ASAP if she wants to rent any this September and then I'll put you in touch. I can vouch that she is legit and I rented my first points from her, and as they say, the rest in history. She is starting PA school so I can't imagine her not NEEDING to rent a few point!

I guess another option would be to look at the Swan/Dolphin. Don't they sometimes have great room rates in September. It would put you in the right location for less money. But then you would have to get transportation back to the airport.

I don't have time to respond to everyone right now...stupid studying.

Oy with all the point renting talk.

I did price out the deluxe for 2 nights with the 40% discount they are offering right now and that is what made it a little over $400. Just too much in my mind when I can add two nights at Riverside for a little over $200 and not have too resort switch.

I will not be tempted.

I hope. :rolleyes1

Walt tour for $200 plus tax = 3 hours.
Roughly $200 more at Riverside = 2 Nights!

I mean for the same amount of money we were planning on spending, we could extend our trip for TWO MORE NIGHTS.

Love the FDM! Are you not eating for those two days?? :rotfl:

Oh I love it when you can make a trip longer!! I hope it all works out for you! One of the benefits of it is that you can have that much more time to enjoy the resort and the pool etc. If it is a short trip, it feels like you have to spend all the time in the parks! This will be perfect because it will still be warm weather, you'll want the breaks at the pool and you will feel like you have plenty of time to do what you want!

Like Anita would ever have extra points???? LOL! I will be first in line if you ever need to rent any out Anita! Just let me know!

Yes, there may be a bit of a traumatic element in seeing melted zebra domes! :lmao:

Yeay for two more nights at Riverside!!! Who wouldn't be happy with extending their trip? I love it! :thumbsup2

HI :yay: Saw you on other TRs and thought I would join along! I hope that you get to add a few more days---how fun :thumbsup2 We always try to extend our vacation on the last day that we are there to extend the magic  Looking forward to hearing more about your trip popcorn::

Also, I just started a Christmastime PTR if you would like to join :santa:

Hi, I just found your PTR. :thumbsup2

Love your plans so far. Congrats on the weight loss! That's inspiring!

Your kitties are so cute. I have three myself. Adding a fourth here soon. :wizard:

Love your camera. It takes great pictures. :thumbsup2

I really love your countdown calendar. I'm thinking of stealing your idea. It's so cute!

YAY for adding 2 days I think that is a fantastic idea! I hope you will be able to work it out with school!! 2 more nights at POR sounds FANTASTIC and for a great price too!!!!!!! WOOT!!!

I like the idea of heading back early on departure day so you can have some time to unwind at home before school the next day!!!

Really think Days 5 and 6 sound great! Love that you have some enjoyable relaxing time plugged in at your resort! I need to make sure I do that more in October!! Take time to just stop and smell the roses!!!!

I can't remember exactly where the info came from but I'm 99.9% positive that Captian EO will be running for your trip as I remember it being so for ours which is later in the month. Now that I think of it the info might have come from the DIS Podcast. I'm sure you could find some info on that board.

So happy the fill went well for you!

:woohoo: for a new camera!! I hope you enjoy using it! :) Great photos!

What a great thing for Jen to give you!! Jen--you rock!! :goodvibes:

Love your new day 3 plans and day 4 looks manageable to me. AK and DHS seem to be the hardest for me to work time wise because of the shows. The only thing I would comment on is with the safari, with going in the middle of the day with warm September weather, you may not see as many animals. Can you save it for the last stop of the day? It should be a bit cooler and near dinner time so the animals might be prowling again. :thumbsup2

Studying does seem to get in the way of my Disney planning too. :lmao: It (DIS or Disney planning in general) is a great reprieve though!

:yay: for adding two more nights! What a very magical trip your trip is going to be!!

Love the new pics with the camera :thumbsup2

You and Marc look FAB btw!!!!! Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana:

I think adding 2 nights before you have to travel with kiddos is a great idea! I wish we had a relaxing trip in Disney before we started traveling with Ash. That child does not know how to relax on vacation. If we aren't doing SOMETHING...she's not happy!

I'm going to respond to each installment in parts, because by the time I get through everything, I totally forget what I wanted to say.

My only hesitation about the Narcoosee's ressie is that it's so late. I know you're young and way hipper than me and my husband with our one soon to be two kids ;) but having that early ressie at the Crystal Palace (which I love, btw) and then the late dinner just wigs me out, and that's totally personal preference.

As far as getting to the Grand Flo, if you're in the MK, it's not big deal. And I wouldn't worry about "dressing" for dinner. Ask me about the fluke time I ate at Citrico's unexpectedly and what I was wearing then. Trust me, they're not going to turn you away. Sure, it's nice to get dressed up, but you can even do casual dressed up with no issue.

As far as the food there, it's been a long time since I've eaten there. I certainly liked it, but I've never made a point to go back. For me, there are other signatures that I prefer, and that's what I stick with. I will admit, I am totally a creature of habit. :lmao:
I've been hearing just meh reviews from Narcoossee's and I'm a little bit of a seafood snob so it's getting lower on my list. I'm sure I'll try it someday when I have tried more of the must do right nows are crossed of my list. :thumbsup2

I see you solved the Narcoosee's debated and added Jiko the next day! I'm very excited about this one, because I've heard some great things and I can't wait to see how you like it.

I like that your birthday day is no more relaxed than before. Too much rushing on vacation can be exhausting.

And, don't laugh, but I'm so jealous that you get to meet Maroo and Liesa. There, I said it. :lmao:
Yes, I did solve it. I am so excited about Jiko. Truly. Marc is too. I've been sending him the menus and he's loving what is on them.

I had to laugh. Some of my pirate has rubbed off on you, my dear.

:lmao:

I'm excited at the possibility of two more nights but only if it doesn't interfere with your schooling. As long as that works out okay, good for you! More time in Disney is always better in my book. :thumbsup2
Yes, it has rubbed off on me. In my last two trips with Jen, we kinda threw our plans out the window...not completely but I like the flexibility of making changes on the fly.

Ooooooooohhhh!!!!

I know lots of people around here will disagree with me, but I am of the mind that the deluxe resorts are not worth the cost. I don't go to Disney to spend a lot of time at the hotel so I am very content with having a few less amenities and more money to spend on other things!!

Here's hoping it's no problem with school for you to extend your trip :goodvibes
I liked my time at Wilderness Lodge but I don't think I'll ever stay a full week at deluxe unless I strike it rich. I'm really banking on Riverside being my heart's desire when it comes to resorts. :lmao:

Two more nights at Riverside is definitely better than the tour!
Maybe you can try to wait for a discount and try for a deluxe for two nights.
I really think so too. That amount was with the 40% discount they are offering. Crazy expensive. As much as I want to stay there, I think a longer Riverside trip is the better deal for us.

Always plotting... I mean planning. ;) I think two more nights sound great. I hope the school thing will work out. :goodvibes
Yes that is me, always always plotting!

Two words....
Rent points!
We did think about that for about 2 seconds last night. I'm happy with not having to change resorts this trip.

Thank you so much for the offer and I'll keep you and your friend in mine in the future in regards to point renting. I think we are going to stick with Riverside. I really can't wait to be there again.

Love the FDM! Are you not eating for those two days?? :rotfl:
Yes, we plan to eat. :rotfl: FDM doesn't include silly things like food, just pina colavas!

I really hope missing school works out. I think a longer vaca is just what the doctor ordered.

Exactly what I'm thinking! We can do more 1/2 days in the parks and still work in that relaxing time. I'm very, very happy.

Woo Hoo! I hope you are enjoying Lost right now. Your facebook updates have had me cracking up all day long.

Thanks for joining in! :goodvibes I will try to head over to your PTR sometime this week.

Hi, I just found your PTR. :thumbsup2

Thanks for joining my PTR! I really want a third kitty but Marc says no way. He wants a dog but I say no way to that until we own our own home. I don't want to worry about finding places to rent with a dog in tow.

I'll be honest, I don't know if I'll finish the countdown calendar...I'm way too busy with school.

It is a great price! I'm very happy with it. I really can't wait to swim at Riverside, I think that is the thing I am most looking forward too on this trip.

I can't seem to find an ending date for it anywhere so I'm thinking that is a good sign it will be open. I don't even exactly know what it is but I'm game. :rotfl:

I barely studied today, I deemed it more important to rewatch Sex and the City in preparation for the second movie this week. :rolleyes1 I never said I was the sharpest pencil in the box.

That is a good idea to wait on the safari until the end of the day, I've always had good luck first thing in the morning so we will see what happens. I honestly could take or leave it but Marc has never been on it so he really wants to see it.

Love the new pics with the camera :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm quite happy with the camera so far.

With all the changes we have coming, my career change, moving to Maine, Marc possibly going to school and wanting to have a baby...well I think we need the two extra nights. ;)

I'm thinking that Captain EO and the Main Street Electrical parade with both be around for about a year. Especially the parade....since it probably cost a lot of money to ship it from Disneyland and get everyone trained for it.

Don't toy with my emotions!!??? I haven't given much thought to the Main Street Electrical parade because I knew it was just until August and I wouldn't be there...but but...I want to see it.

I love knowing each update their will be changes. I am pretty sure I DIS just to see that there are more people that change their mind more often than I do. Honestly... adding nights, I am all about that. I currently am wishing I had taken DH up on adding a couple of nights to our Beach Club stay this summer..too late now!

I totally understand that this might be your last child free trip at the world. I would really encourage you to eat the yummiest fanciest places, because if you have a little boy like Luke you will be CS forever!

Hey Leslie,

Sorry, I tend to fall behind in weekends, as I don't turn on the computer in Sundays. So I missed the Riverside- add 2 more nights posts!! What can I say??!!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Now, our trips overlap even more, and we'll have two nights even at the same resort. Hmmm....

We're planning to catch Yeehaw Bob one night; let us know if you are also.

Missing classes: glad you're thinking ahead on this! Not worth going down a grade because of attendance.
