Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

You just had to go and update while I was replying, didn't you :rotfl:

Okay start the music (It's My Party and I'll cry if I want to)...LOL that is what popped into my mind with your update line!!! I bet I could find a way to make the syllables work if I really put my mind to it LOL

Love your new plans! Jiko is going to be so nice!!!!! I definitely want to eat there! Ialso have to make a stop at Mara's and get Zebra domes, many trips and no ZDs HAVE to rectify that!!

You have a full AK day but a very doable AK day!! I so want video of you on EE..just saying :rolleyes1

And you get to have some fun DISmeets to boot!! YAY!!!!!!! I for one am very thankful for DISmeets

No need to be shy! We're pretty normal. :dance3: Seriously, I know that meeting someone for the first time can be a little nerve-wracking, I mean what if you like get back to your resort room and find you've had parsley all stuck in your teeth all day?? :lmao::lmao::lmao: I know when I met maroo the first time in Nashville, it was like we've been friends forever. Really, it was a very natural and wonderful thing!

Just remember, we're as shy as you. :flower3: I know we're going to have a wonderful time, and there'll be lots to talk about!

Anyway, I'm glad we got our plans worked out in time for this update of yours. Good timing, eh?

If you decide on Day 3 that you would like a sit down lunch, I highly recommend the GF Cafe. I had a great lunch there a few years back, and a great breakfast there as well last October.

I am glad your fill went well!! I think your plans are shaping up nicely. Jiko sounds wonderful. Their menu looks fantastic!

So seriously? I subscribed. A while ago.

Then I got to thinking today, "Hmm, LL hasn't updated in a LOOOONG time. That's not like LL."

:scratchin

Yeah.

Apparently the subscription didn't "take".

So I'm all caught up now.

AGAIN.

And REALLY for REAL subscribed.

:thumbsup2

Day 3 and 4 look fantabulous!! :cool2: I am so happy that you get to try Jiko again....I almost forgot that you and Jen didn't make it there last trip....but just remember after you leave to get those ZD's!! Katie got them after we ate there although there is nooooooo way you will want to eat them right then, just know they will be in your refrigerator waiting for you :lovestruc And by all means of course eat one for breakfast :rolleyes1
I am happy that you are staying put at POR....everyone has their resort that just "does it" for them...for me it is AKL :cloud9:
How wonderful that Jen is treating you for your Birthday dinner Awwww

Tracy

LOL...love that your priced the resorts out!! I have to agree with you POR just does it for me!! Of course having the boat is nice, I'm starting to see why you love the boat rides so much! I'm going to have to take advantage of the boats next time I'm there!

I have that same feeling about MK!!! I always wish I had more time there...and I always make sure that it is the last park I visit, next trip will be no exception!! You know me, I have to buy my going home fudge LOL!
Of course I priced them out. I'm really happy with POR. I think my heart belongs to Riverside.

Muhahaha, it's all part of my evil updating plan. :rotfl2:

I'm so excited about Jiko. I can't wait to have that flatbread...mmmm.

I am very thankful for DISmeets too.

:lmao: Thankfully Marc will be there to do the parsley check. :rotfl2:

Meeting Jen was very natural too. In fact all the DISmeets I've had have been good. I met Chrissy in Sept. 08, Jen & Anita in May '09 and Melissa in January. Oh and I met Christine last year before my trip and we went out to dinner. I think those are the DISmeets I've had. I'm going to feel really bad if I forgot someone....:headache:

Very good timing on the update. I'm so glad we get to meet, it's going to be fun! :woohoo:

If you decide on Day 3 that you would like a sit down lunch, I highly recommend the GF Cafe. I had a great lunch there a few years back, and a great breakfast there as well last October.
I've been wanting to try the GF Cafe so I will keep that in mind for sure. :thumbsup2

Their menu looks so good. I'm really excited and it works out perfectly because I really want to get over to see AKL.

No worries. I know I've done that with subscriptions before too. I think I've done that to Jackie's last 2 TRs. :rotfl2:

Oh yes, I plan to have Zebra Domes for breakfast. I think that is what they meant when they said, "Breakfast of Champions". :rotfl:

I really do want to stay at AKL someday because those pools look Ahhhhh-mazing!

I like the new revised Day 3 and Day 4 plans Leslie! I think it will be all good! You get to do and see and eat things you've wanted to and if it feels right, it must be so!! I love how Marc is so accomodating to carry a backpack for your stuff too!! What a guy!

I better get to posting my day plans for my trip on my PTR. It's going to be here before I know it.

So glad your fill went so well too! Hope you have a good weekend!

Oh My....Eeyore is my favorite too! I absolutely love him and I love the CP for breakfast. What a wonderful gift from Jen!

I have never eaten at Jiko, but I have heard so many wonderful things about it. I think you made a smart decision to trade Narcoosees for Jiko! :thumbsup2

I have always found that its easiest to see the first Nemo show of the morning. It's not crowded and works well with the EE fast past return time. Get you FP's and then maybe you can arrange your Dismeet and all go to the nemo show. Then you will be out in time to go right to EE and then get your Safari FP before lunch. I always wait to right before lunch to get my EE FP and by the time we are done lunch - its time to get right on. Works every time.

We had excellent Nemo seats in May. I  that show. If you haven't seen it - you MUST! I bet Mark will love it. I haven't gone with anyone who doesn't agree its a great show!

Your plans look great.
A Crystal Palace birthday breakfast sounds absolutely perfect.
I haven't tried the Kobe beef burger at Y&Y. Hmmm, I may have to order that in August.

Hey LL, I have fallen behind on your plans!

I see you made up your mind but I thought I would chime in that I too thought Narcoossee's was not as fantastic as I had hoped. The almond crusted cheesecake was amazing (and I have to say, the cheese plate was quite good) but other than that, if I had paid OOP for that meal, I would not have been thrilled! Jiko on the other hand was WAY good and gives you the chance to grab those ZD's for later...YUMMY!!

Good choice :thumbsup2

Hurray for a great fill!!! :thumbsup2

A birthday breakfast at Crystal Palace sounds lovely, and you know you get my seal of approval on zebra domes from AKL! ;)

Did you watch Grey's yet? Even Charles was sucked into it on Thursday night.

It does feel right. I've said this many times, I keep tweaking my itineraries until it feels right and when it does I usually stop. USUALLY. ;)

I need to get over there and check out your PTR!

I don't know what Nemo show we will go too. As long as it we make it to one I'll be happy. I think Nemo is just so beautifully done. I think Marc will really like it. I know some will not like me when I say this...but I could take or leave Festival of the Lion King. I like it a lot, it's very nice but if I have to pick between the two, I pick Nemo everytime. :rolleyes1

I'm TERRIFIED about riding EE. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it. I get so anxious. BTMRR is intense enough. Marc has REALLY been pushing me to try Tower of Terror but I don't think I can do it.

Your plans look great.

The Kobe beef burger is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. Seriously good. I think I've been obsessed with burgers since I had that one. I did eat without the roll because I can't do roll and burger together with my band but it was still out of this world!

I'm glad to see that you think it's a good choice after eating at Narcoossee's. That makes me feel better about my decision. The cheesecake is one of the main reasons I wanted to try Narcoossee's.

I really can't wait for Jiko. I think it's going to be a great meal for the two of us.

Hurray for a great fill!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, I sent you a PM with a cool article from Shone Rhimes about the episode. Marc was really into it as well and he doesn't always like Grey's.

I'm quite excited about a birthday breakfast at Crystal Palace. It's going to be fun. :dance3:

Yay for Jiko! You will love it! WE had such a delightful dinner there! Your AK day sounds great. Maybe you think it is a lot to do in one day, but you will be sitting for a show and for the Bugs life, and on the Safari, and so that makes it much more laid back and casual. The whole vibe at the AK is so easy going, even when it is hot. I think it will be great! A zebra dome story... don't forget the zebra domes, that is true, but also, don't forget the zebra domes in your car... in the sun... we inadvertently left our last two in the plastic box on the floor of the car. And when we got back well, it was a zebra puddle... Oh okay that didn't sound very good... :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Zebra puddle. That is classic!!

I'm really happy with the way our plans are shaping up and you are right, there is a lot of sitting going on at AK that day so that will make the day easier. For some reason AK just intimidates me or something and I always get overwhelmed there. January was the first time I didn't have that feeling while in AK.

I finally have had a little time to play around with my new camera.

I :lovestruc it. I'm still getting used to the features but it's easy to use.

I ended up being talked into buying an HD memory stick for it and I used that to take the pictures...I can tell you one thing I will NOT be using the HD memory stick in Disney. It is taking FOREVER to upload the pictures to photobucket. Plus the files are much bigger and I don't want to max out my photobucket account either. So the regular SD card has gone into the camera and there it will stay. Maybe I'll use the HD memory stick for video taking in Disney. :confused3

So here are the pictures.

This is actually one of the last pictures we have from our Mother's Day trip. We went to DTD and left 4 of them in the car. Maybe 3 1/2, as Jill might have eaten part of one, and I know I ate one. When I reached down to get them, I saw dead zebra domes, and it was not a pretty sight.

I plan to put the picture up when the time comes, but I hope I don't traumatize CP and other zebra dome lovers.
It is a picture that is sadly etched in my mind.

Your pictures are amazing! I really like the panoramic shots!! VERY VERY nice!! What a gorgeous day and view!!

BTW you look fabulous in your picture!!!!!

Your kitties are so cute!!!!!

The panoramic shots are a lot of fun to take, I'm sure I'll take a bazillion down in Disney. ;)

Thanks on the looking fabulous, I think I look like I spent all day in class.

Love the new camera and pictures. You are making me want to go camera shopping... :rolleyes1
Hehehe, I am very sorry. The last thing I'll say is that I'm very happy with my purchase. :rolleyes1
