Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

My favorite has to be Japan. I love the shopping there. And the candy lady whose name I cannot spell. :rolleyes1

If I were to add a pavilion, it would be Greece. :goodvibes

Favorite WS pavillion is without a doubt Mexico. I feel so fully immersed when I am in there. Morocco is a close second for the same reasons. Mexico only ends up ahead because I'd rather eat Mexican food. :rotfl:
:lmao: Food is a very important factor!

OOOH I love your favorites!!! I have to agree Morocco and UK are two of my all time favorite pavilions to be in!! Great choices!!!!:thumbsup2
I love UK. I'd be happy if I just got to visit that pavilion each trip.

I will be able to answer your question when I get back. ;) I am loving all the updates though.
I look forward to hearing which one is your favorite. :thumbsup2

WOW LL, I was SO far behind, but happy to be all caught up again! Loving all the updates and can't wait for your trip! Love that you're meeting up with some DISers (sad one of them is not me, still...), love the costume idea, remember wide headbands were in style then, too, love all the lists.....fun!! Hoping to stay caught up these new few weeks!!! :goodvibes
I was thinking if I can't find a good headband that I would just tie a chifon scarf in my hair as my headband. Think that would work?

My favorite is a tie b/w Morocco and Mexico. I love how in Morocco as you wind around to the back you can be totally immersed and really almost forget you're in WDW. I never get tired of taking pictures there. As for Mexico, while you can't really get lost in there (or maybe you can after a certain # of margaritas ;) ), I just love the atmosphere of the indoor plaza. It's a nice and cool break from the heat of the day and just so fun.

Really, I think they're all pretty great. WS is my favorite place in WDW. Now here's a question... if they could add a country/pavilion, what would you want them to add?? I think I've seen Australia and Russia talked about. Not sure what the other rumors are/have been.

Your trip is getting so close!! :yay:
I agree with forgetting that you are in WDW in Morocco. I don't think most people realize how far back that pavilion goes.

Mexico is a wonderful place to relax and cool down.

Hmmmm...a pavilion to add. Russia would be really cool, imagine the entertainment they could have. But I think I'd have to go with Greece, after England it is the country I most want to travel too.

Nope, I haven't gotten your # yet. Did I send you mine?

He's still a big Dut Dut fan! It's pretty cute.
I will PM it to you sometime today, remind me if I forget. :rotfl:
So true. :)

I love them all, too. If you really take the time to explore, they all have so much to offer. I saw that there is a new exhibit coming to Japan that will take the place of/be added to the Japanese tin toy area.

I'm all for more countries coming! :woohoo:
What is the new exhibit, do you know?? I think it's time to add a new country, it would be really neat to see a new one.

You got to try on a REAL kimono?! :hyper: UK would be awesome to visit and no, you definitely won't want to come home. If you need a travel companion :teeth:
I dug through photobucket and found my kimono picture! I guess it's not technically a kimono because it's pants but close enough. ;)

Contest #1
This is a two part question, so put on your thinking caps!

Part A: We have made 5 ADRs for our 7 night trip. What are they?

Rose and Crown
Tutto
Hollywood and Vine
Crystal Palace
Cali Grille

Part B: How many ADR changes will we make when we are actually in Disney, if any?

3 changes

BONUS: Name 1 ADR that we will add on the fly while at Disney.

Kona I picked this because I want to be there!

You will get one point for each correct answer. If necessary, I will add a tie breaker question after we get back from the trip that is ADR related.
Your answers will be added!
Hmmmm.... a pav that could be added?? This is such a toughy! Russia would be really beautiful, and they could do a vodka bar akin the La Cava and open a blini stand like the new crepe stand at DLR.

Australia would be fun, and really neat if they had live kangaroos to see. Not likely.

Thailand would be THE best Pav. EVER!!! BEST FOOD IN THE WORLD!! Endless possibilities for attractions and Thai kick boxing or dancing for entertainment.

I think anything from West Africa would be awesome too, but know that there is a fair amount of that in AK already. and at AKL. Still would be a nice addition.

Israel? too controversial. Turkey would be PERFECT!! A mini Hagia Sophia museum of carpets, a Raki and olive bar? And who can resist Turkish Delight??

Those are some ideas to start.
Thailand would be a very cool pavilion!! I'd vote for Koalas in the Austraila pavilion.

My favorite would have to be UK. Love everything about it! Plus they have the British Invasion!:rockband:

Contest Time!!

Chefs de France
R&C
Yak & Yeti
Hollywood Brown Derby
Crystal Palace

1 change

I wouldn't be surprised if you changed to Boma:laughing:
I haven't seen the British Invasion yet, hopefully I can catch them this trip.

My favourite would be Japan. I just really love the landscaping there and the buildings. It looks so different and calming. Also the shop is just wonderful!

I think it would be great if they would add some countries from South America or Africa. While AK has a generic African theme, it isn't really about a distinctive country. And I love Liesa's suggestion of Thailand! :goodvibes
The Japan shop is wonderful, I can get lost in there each and everytime I go. I always find the coolest things too!

My favorite has to be Japan. I love the shopping there. And the candy lady whose name I cannot spell. :rolleyes1

If I were to add a pavilion, it would be Greece. :goodvibes
I have to agree with you on Greece, how cool would that one be?

Stinkin' cute picture LL! :cutie:

ETA: Oooh, I just saw the Greece suggestion for a new WS pavilion. ::yes:: That would rock! I live in the "Little Greece" of Queens and let me tell you...the culture and the food is lovely!!!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I think we should start a Greece pavilion campaign!

Nice to have the favorite WS pavillion to balance out the least favorite one. I've got to say France. I really like the atmosphere, the film, the restaurants (seems like my answer to all of your questions lately always include the desserts in France :lmao: ), the music, and the Beauty and the Beast meet-and-greets among other things.

It would be nice to have something from South America added to World Showcase since it none of its countries are represented yet. Brazil could be fun. You could have a rainforest-themed attraction, have the main shopping and dining area look like Rio and have Carivale-style entertainment.

In my excitement for the weekend almost being here, I forgot my little notebook with my countdown list in it at home. :rotfl2: Oh well. I've been racking my brain trying to remember one and I can think of only one.

Favorite Fireworks.

I guess there aren't too many to choose from but we both picked the same one.

HALLOWISHES!!

IMG_2160.jpg

That would be the best picture I have of Hallowishes but it's not great. How about some MNSSHP pictures?

Gotta love riding Dumbo during MNSSHP, no lines!

I'm in a picture kind of mood today.

Guess what I received in the mail yesterday?

212221039.jpg

SADDLE SHOES!!

I've always wanted to own a pair of these and now I do. I am very excited. They are going to look great with my poodle skirt, which shipped yesterday so I should be receiving that VERY soon. I'm so excited that we are dressing up!

33 Days until Disney!
28 Days until Vacation starts!
4 More Work Mondays!
5 More Total Mondays!
11 More Classes!

:dance3::yay::dance3:

Hands down, Hallowishes are my favorite fireworks. I'm a sucker for Halloween and Halloween in the World is no exception.

How exciting about the shoes! :goodvibes

Love the saddle shoes. Your going to look great in your costume!

Favorite fireworks? I'm going to have to go with ones they no longer show. I use to adore the Sorcery in the Sky fireworks that would run at MGM before they had Fantasmic. I loved the fireworks showing to classic movie themes. :)

Out of the current ones it would definitely be Hallowishes though. I love the "ghost" ones that go off all around you at the end.

My favourite fireworks were the ones they showed during the Pirate & Princess Party - so you can't see them anymore... :guilty:

But, I have heard that the Summernightastic Fireworks they are showing this summer are more or less the same and I would love to see them. However, WDW in July or August just is not appealing to me at all!!

Can you believe I actually had a pair of saddle shoes in high school? Nike had a line of them (I think for cheerleaders).

I love the shoes. I had a pair of Saddle Shoes in the first grade. I found then at a yard sale and told my mom I had to have them.

Can't wait to see pictures of you two in costume. You're going to be so cute! Have to agree, Hallowishes is very cool. Love the whole party. My favorite things are the graveyard guy with the hound and of course the gravediggers with their shovels. Love those sparks on the ground!!

4 more work Mondays... piece of cake! :)

Ok, so if you threatened me with some sort of torturous thing, like listening to Lady Gaga's album on repeat, and said I HAD to choose my most favorite pavilion, it would be:

Japan

And my favorite fireworks show is Wishes.

Okay, I'm not going to be able to walk past any French desserts at WDW without thinking of you!! You have thing for them for sure. :rotfl2:

Oooh, what a great idea! Brazil would be a fun pavilion!

I love my shoes. I'm going to post about what I bought Marc today too. I am so excited for MNSSHP!

I really can't wait for my costume to get here. I knew you liked Sorcery in the Sky, it sounds like it would have been a very good show. :thumbsup2

I'm still so bummed that they stopped the Pirate & Princess Party. I heard such great things about it, especially the fireworks!

Can you believe I actually had a pair of saddle shoes in high school? Nike had a line of them (I think for cheerleaders).
I have seen those before when I was growing up and I even saw them while I was searching online but they only had them in kids sizes or I would have ordered those for comfort level.

I love the shoes. I had a pair of Saddle Shoes in the first grade. I found then at a yard sale and told my mom I had to have them.
I don't think I ever had them growing up, I always wanted them though. In high school I wanted to open up a 50's diner complete with waitresses on roller skates!

I cant' wait to try my costume on, I think we are going to go together very well.

I'm really excited we are going to the party, I'm looking forward to it. I want to try to get some good pics of those gravediggers this time.

Ok, so if you threatened me with some sort of torturous thing, like listening to Lady Gaga's album on repeat, and said I HAD to choose my most favorite pavilion, it would be:

:lmao: I promise not to toture with you THAT.

Yay for Greece! I'd support that campaign being Greek and all.

Wishes is my hands down favorite fireworks show. :goodvibes Woo-hoo for the weekend!!!
:lmao: Well of course you have to support that!!

Oh, you know my favorite WS pavilion without me even saying anything. Morocco every time! :goodvibes

Hallowishes is definitely my favorite fireworks, but I really like Illuminations also.

Seeing all those pictures of MNSSHP really makes me want to go again!

Love the saddle shoes!!! :thumbsup2

Hey CP, thought of you today. We were talking about one of the Counsel here at the firm that has a Southern accent. A "Jawwwjuh" accent, phonetically speaking. Made me think of you and wonder if you too sound like a Southern belle. :goodvibes

Ok, sorry LL, hijack complete.

 Too funny!

Actually I don't think I have a very pronounced accent -- now those who have met me might disagree since they heard me talk, but overall I don't think I scream Southerner. Although, one of Charles' favorite activities is to point out when I do slip into dialect. :rotfl:

So pumped to see MNSSHP!!!!!!! And I can't wait to see what you look like in your costume. Should be an awesome time for ya :thumbsup2

That's an ADORABLE picture of you in the kimono. Do you still have it?
