Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

One of the many things I would like to do, but haven't would be going to F&W and hitting MNSSHP.

I think I would like for everyone to ride Jungle Cruise. It's just such a classic Disney attraction, animontronics and corny jokes. It's a family favorite for us.

I wish I had more time to interact and have fun with everyone here; sadly, I'm too busy having heart attacks over "losing" my camera. And the drama of finding it again. I am WAY TOO CLOSE to my trip to have these sorts of negative adrenaline rushes!!

I would make everyone go to CoP- it's quinessential Walt, himself. Everyone should go back to the roots of the parks once in a while.

I can't believe how close you are!! Just think, just a couple more days of work, then it's the weekend.....it's SO close!!!:cheer2:

Hmm...tough question! What would I want everyone to do, I'm with a PP, COP...it's classic Disney in my book, love the song, yes, I did say that....it's catchy! And it's just old school, love it!:lovestruc

They talked about the party entry at 4 p.m. on the podcast recently and confirmed that it would be allowed at 4. We did so for the Christmas party and it was great!
What's the Boo to You? Is that a different show?

Bummer about Remy and the AP in your dream!:lmao: I'm sure it had to do with watching the movie!

What would I force everyone to do??? Hmmm... It's a Small World. Classic Disney, then everyone can get that song stuck in their heads!! In all seriousness, I think everyone should stay on property, and go to an early ADR at MK so they can walk down Main Street practically empty and get a great picture with the Castle!!
I think everyone should stay on property at least once. It's such a great feeling being immersed in the Disney magic 24/7.

Sheree-Boo to You is the MNSSHP parade. It looks awesome!!!
Thanks for answering!

Ahh, thank you. I was suspecting it was something like that. And Hallowishes is the fireworks. Someday I'd like to go in fall (we have a school break of two days in October) and hit MNSSHP and F&W!
MNSSHP is a great party. It's filled with Halloween fun.

Hmmm, I guess it would be to visit at the holidays. It is like a whole other wold seeing everything decorated. And something else that is cool about the winter is having so much more darkness. When you have small kids you don't get to spend too much dark time at the parks. In fact, I think we only saw MK dark when we saw Spectro last year. So if you go in the winter you get to see everything lit up a lot more. Even if not decorated for Christmas.
But I want to change your question around to what would I love to force Non-Dis people to do. And even more specifically the people who think you are nuts fo going so often as a married without kids couple or for us---the people who think we are crazy for going time and again with kids who are "too young to remember".
What is the one thing you wish you could force them to do that you think would sell them on Disney?
For me, most people I run into have small children of their own. I would say a ride on the Magic Kingdom railroad to see the park before you really experience it or a fun Hidden Mickey hunt through your hotel right as you check in.
Anyway, sorry to change it like that. I just got back from my church group and someone got up on their soapbox to say they would never spend money on a trip to an overpriced place like Disney until all of their kids could read.
I was actually think about doing that question! But I decided not too. I agree, I hate hearing how people say that their kids are too young or too old. That is the beauty of Disney, there is no age limit!

Your going to be there in no time. The last week always drags before vacation.

I think I'd make everyone try ToT, even if they chicken out at the end. The themeing for that attraction is so absolutely perfect I think everyone should check it out. (And really if my complete ride wimp of a mother can do it anyone can :rotfl:).

And now that you mentioned Boo to You I'm going to be singing that all day. It's one of those tunes that doesn't leave my head.
That would be me! A ride chicken! :rotfl2:

I've had it stuck in my head all day long!

I love those ignorant people. I'm more than happy when they stay away from my parks!;)
Uh huh! :thumbsup2

True that!
:lmao:

Oh what an awful dream!!! I'm sure it was a combo of the movie from Sunday and just normal excitement/anxiety over the trip. :goodvibes

EIGHT DAYS!!!! :dance3: Time will go by more quickly for you hopefully...once the weekend is here it will ZIP!

What would I force everyone to do...hmm...that is a tough one...

I think I would make everyone to have at least one "no plans" day - and really have it be NO PLANS. Completely go with the flow whatever you are feeling, do. Don't worry about crowds, don't worry about ADRs, just go and BE. Let the magic happen and wash over you! They really seem to make for the very best days at Disney World!
I really need Thursday at 10PM to get here. I will be done with class and work officially until after Disney.

I like the idea of no plans more and more everyday.

I love the Jungle Cruise. I love the corny spiel and I especially love riding it at night. Classic Disney.

No worries, I know you are busy. So glad you found your camera!!

COP was a close second for my answer.

I know, I know. I'm just done, cooked, fried, FINISHED. :rotfl2:

I love the COP song. I listen to it all the time in my car. :thumbsup2

I'm a little worried about getting there too early since this is the first party of the year since there was a rumor about them not letting MNSSHP ticket holders in early anymore.

They talked about the party entry at 4 p.m. on the podcast recently and confirmed that it would be allowed at 4.

That's what I was gonna tell you, LL. Hopefully, the podcast information is right.

Someday I'd like to go in fall (we have a school break of two days in October) and hit MNSSHP and F&W!

Makes for a great fall break trip! ::yes::

One of the many things I would like to do, but haven't would be going to F&W and hitting MNSSHP.

It's a great time to go. Main Street is beautiful all dressed in orange and gold, the Halloween party is fantastic, and it is very cool to get to taste foods from all over the world at Food & Wine. I hope you do get to take this trip someday soon.

Don't know if anyone has said One Man's Dream. I think everyone should see that.

YAY for 8 days!!! I'm so loving your no plans theme for this trip! There is something so "freeing" about just going with the flow!!!

Hopefully time will speed up for you!!! I know how much you want to be on vacation and at Disney!!!

Hmmm...I think I would make everyone ride HM, because it is such a magical ride I would happily ride with every single person and it would never get old, NOT EVEN ONCE LOL!

I didn't even think of One Man's Dream but you are right, EVERYONE should see that.

I love our no plans. I hae a feeling this trip will even be different from the "no plans" I'm posting now.

One week from this very moment, I expect Marc & I will be cozied up in our hotel room near the airport...anxiously waiting to go to bed so we can wake up and go to the airport. :rotfl2:

Woo hoo for eight days!!! :woohoo: Tomorrow will be very, very exciting!

I cannot wait to hear all about your MNSSHP experience -- I just know you are going to have a BOO-tastic time!!! (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

Your dream about Remy is cracking me up!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I would force everyone to spin in the teacups! It makes you feel like a kid again!

I'm with Mary Ellen & MeMom on this one...
SSR haters should stay there over looking DTD. Beautiful!
TRY TOT, it's soooo cool. I was the biggest chicken but had to see what it was all about and now I love it!

We are going to Vero next summer and can't wait!

One Man's Dream is another Icon.
How can any Disney fan not want to see what started it all?

Leslie, NO MORE MONDAYS!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

 Your dream is too funny! I definitely think it's because of the movie.

Let's see, if I had to pick one attraction...it would have to be Soarin'. I don't think there's any other attraction at Disney that puts a bigger smile on my face than Soarin'. :goodvibes

I haven't done One Man's Dream since 1999! I miss it. Maybe in a couple of years. How long is it?

And you and Mark cuddled up in the room. Too cute. One more reason why the BEST Disney vacation commercial is the one with the kids and the parents too excited to sleep. We never get any sleep and I always toy with the idea of just leaving at like 1am. Maybe I will try to sell that idea again.

7 days now, rite?!!?! so EXCITING! ive never seen nemo: the musical but i think i shall follow your advice and see it this trip!
Doesnt it stink that youre not even on vacation yet and youre already dreading your last DAY?! I do the same thing! :headache:
you are going to LOVE MNSSHP! I would encourage you to see Boo To You, it is awesome! i dont want to ruin anything for you but the headless horsemen is AMAZING Hallowishes is DEFINITELY a must .. especially since its my name on here!! :wizard:

LOVE this!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:
Me too. I am so very ready.

I'm very excited for MNSSHP. It's going to be a good time. I told Marc I would go ont he teacups if we didn't have to do much spinning.

I'm with Mary Ellen & MeMom on this one...

The view overlooking DTD is gorgeous, that is for sure!

I don't know if I can try it. It's too scary.

The film is maybe 20 minutes. Then time for all the displays before hand. It's well worth the time.

7 days!! Yayayayaya. I highly recommend Finding Nemo: The Musical. It's really great.

We went to MNSSHP in '08 so we saw both Boo to You and Hallowishes. I would like to see them again but if we are in a good ride groove we might not. We shall just have to wait and see.

7 days!!

One Week!!!

168 hours!!!

10,080 minutes!!

604,800 seconds!!

aka 1 more work day, 1 more class and 5 days of vacation!!

I'm ready. So ready. Only one more morning to wake up and get ready for work. Only one more night of class. Have I mentioned that I'm ready?

In Two Weeks...

It will be our last day of Disney. Our flight doesn't leave until almost 7PM so we have a full Disney day to enjoy. I have no idea what we will be doing.

More importantly, exactly ONE WEEK from now, I hope to be landing/landed or close to landing at MCO.:banana::banana:

I need to share my list with you all so that I remember to get this all done.

Another Random To Do List
*Empty out memory cards
*Find camera battery (think I've already packed it but need to make sure)
*Pick up new glasses (hopefully they will be in today)
*Finish Packing
*Buy mouthwash
*Pack an overnight bag for the hotel near the airport
*Decide on First Day/Airplane outfit (I'm having great difficulty in deciding on what tshirt/capri combo I will be going with on this first day)
*Trim the kitties' claws. (Ruby has been getting stuck on the couch lately and I have this vision of our cat sitter coming in and Ruby dangling from the couch, having been stuck for days.)

I think that is it. I hope. I'm sure I will think of 50 more things to do between now and Tuesday.

Question of the Day: What are your traditional last rides in each park??

I think these will be our last rides in each park...

MK: Haunted Mansion
Epcot: Spaceship Earth
DHS: Great Movie Ride
AK: Finding Nemo: The Musical

One week!!! EEK!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

That is so very very close! The to do list seems very manageable too!

The only traditional last ride we have is Small World at MK. Beyond that, we do whatever, whenever!

I love your questions! They are awesome. Hmmm, last ride. Well, for us we just sort of end when we end. This trip we are going to really try to stick to a touring plan so we will see what it says. But I can give you a good answer on MK. We always end with a train ride. Usually we are back in ToonTown/Tomorrowland or Adventureland/Frontierland and it just seems easier than fighting the crowds. But I love it too. I always tell Tom that if we ever had a trip where we could have like 7 or 8 full park days then I could spend one full day just riding the train. I'd get off to eat and maybe walk a bit but then I would just get on the train again. I love it!

ONE WEEK!!

:woohoo::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::woohoo:

Hmmmm.... are you ready by any chance?

Super excited for you. I'm sure you guys will have a great time.

Love your questions but they are making me feel like a slacker with no traditions! If I were going to pick one ride that I would want to go on "just one more time" to say goodbye to the World, I think it would be Soarin in Epcot and Pirates in MK. I don't think I really have one in DHS or AK.
