There is a post asking it will be completed on the Resort Board.

Did I miss something? I wasn't aware of any refurb for BWV, but have a ressie there for August....

What is the story?

Earlier this month we noticed the following being done to units near Community Hall: new roofing, exterior painting, new awnings. There were at least 20 units hidden with scaffolding and crawling with workman.

I was just there in a 5th floor 2br BW view room and it looked like the carpet, soft furnishings were relatively new.

I was a little nervous about staying there after reading some of those BWV room condition threads here.

Now it would be great if they replaced those appliances(every burner on the stove was at an angle and the dryer broke while I was there, don't worry I called maint. dept to have them look at it.)

Earlier this month I was told by 2 different maintenance guys that BWV refurbishment will begin in May. I asked about appliances because the stoves are so pathetic, but these guys didn't know if appliances were included. Even some of the refrigerators are looking a little shabby and the stackable laundry units seem to be needing frequent repairs, so I am choosing to believe that appliances and flat panel TVs will be part of the deal.

The rooms are definitely in need of some TLC, and I am glad that is the plan.....but would love to know details as I might change locations if possible...We stayed once at a resort ubdergoing rehab and it definitely tainted the experience.

Is there anyway to officially fnd out? Who would I speak to?

I want you to be right! Well actually, I don't care all that much about the TVs, but I sure would like to see new washer/dryers & stoves.

I saw the work and it was only in the section mentioned, by community hall. I wouldn't have known it was going on if I wasn't walking to DHS.

Just found this......

The exterior of Disney's BoardWalk Villas will receive a great deal of TLC throughout 2009. The building itself is scheduled for minor repairs and painting, while the roof over the Villa wing will also be replaced.

The painting project has already begun and will continue until approximately September 25, 2009. The roof replacement is scheduled to begin on January 5, 2009 and run until November 6, 2009
