Refillable Mugs?

Are the refill stations at the food court? Is there one at the pool at POP? We leave in 8 hours!!!!

Refillable mugs are definitely worth every penny. After about the third drink refill, you have paid for them. Staying four days, I would recommend it, unless you are just going to drink water,

Hi - I hadn't thought of that!!

I drink alot of iced water rather than pop - is there somewhere at the poly (near the pool) that I can just get free iced water - as I actually prefer that when I'm thirsty!!:thumbsup2

of course, you can use the mugs for iced-water, if you like the way florida water tastes...

Actually the food courts have ice and filtered water.

[*]First, you have to wash them out - so, bring that Lemon Joy and a washrag!

Ummm . . . I kind of saw this as another benefit 'cause it gave my DH something to do while I got ready . . . :rotfl2:

for correction, BTW, has anyone tasted this...must be better than regular water, huh?

Yes, the filtered water at the food courts taste fine.
I will only drink filtered water or bottled water when staying at Disney.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

We've always had Hot Choc. at each resort to refill our mugs with.

We always use the mugs and they are worth it to us. I get coffee each morning, we refill when back at the resort (once or twice in the afternoon and at least once at night), plus for any meals we have there. When we stay at a mod or deluxe, we refill in the AM at b-fast and put them in our fridge (w/o ice) so they are ready for us when we return for our afternoon break!

We always buy just one mug, and share, since we mostly drink water. We also fill it up upon leaving a resort and take it with us into the parks. Then we also use it to fill up with water at the water fountains. But now that there is 4 of us, we might get 2 mugs this time around since my toddler will want juice.

question: Are the mugs a wide bottom/wide mug, or the narrow bottom, and taller? WE like the taller ones that we used to get so we could fit them into the cup holder of our stroller.

They had both kinds at AS Music in Dec '06. Not sure what the new year of a million dream mugs look like.

I know a lot of people will think i'm cheap but why do you have to buy new mugs every time you go to Disney? Why can't I use of the ten or so cups that I already have? I have some for the hotel that we are going to in August.
Be gentle! Thanks

Lopey:

Because that's the basis they are sold on. You're not buying the mug. You're buying the right to refill it for the duration of your trip. When that trip is over, you buy the right to refill your next mug for the duration of your trip.

Please, let's not debate the policy. :) It is what it is.

Because the policy is that the mugs are only good for the length of stay at the resort you purchased them at. The next time you come back you need to buy new mugs.

The YOAMD mugs fit in cupholders. :)

CSR is still selling the older mugs, which do not. I don't know if any other hotel is doing that or not. AKL, Poly and POR are selling the new ones - dunno about CBR (I checked your signature, lol.)

The resorts have switched over to new generic mugs which have the year 2007 on them.

It has been noted that CMs are now approaching guests with old mugs.

Hi, all. My family of four drove from NJ to WDW. We spent our first night, (6/23) at All Star Music - the Jazz Building. We've never been in a value resort before, and were pleasantly surprised. The room was perfectly adequate for my family. I was expecting a shoe-box with a bed. It really wasn't bad at all. The pool was fun - but crowded. The food court was pretty good, but also kind of crowded. My kids enjoyed the large icons and the other children. They showed Pirates of the Caribbean at night, and that was fun! It really was a pleasant surprise for us.

We checked into the Wilderness Lodge on Sunday, 6/24. We got there around 8:30 a.m. - and SURPRISE - our room was ready. We were given room 6157 - inner courtyard room with bunkbeds and a fabulous view of the pool (and bay lake). We were loving it. Our last trip we had room 6145. We were able to view the fireworks from our balcony. The pool was never overly crowded, and there was always a chair available poolside. The kiddie pool was good for my four-year old - however; he liked the adult pool with the life jacket. Roaring Forks was decent, but always crowded.

They did switch over to the new mug design, and I did see the cashiers approach people using the old design.

I wasn't too fond of the food choices (or lack of). And, my 9-year old son can eat more than 4 little chicken tenders since he is almost five feet tall! So, they should re-evaluate the kids menu.

Whispering Canyon was a fun time! We ate there twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The food was really good, and we had a blast. There was always a boat within 10 minutes of us arriving on the dock. We always managed to miss the bus we needed, but never waited more than 15 minutes for the next one. The biggest problem was trying to leave Epcot at night and having to wait for three busses before we could board.

Funny enough, every time I walked through the halls at the Lodge, I always felt like I was the only one there!

Oh, and I received five towel animals during my stay!

Any ?'s, please ask.

No... I don't think your cheap. It's a vaild thought. They do not loose any money on your soda refills (big money making food item)even if you did use the same mug all year on multi visits, they're making the profit on most of the people that only come once a year, and everyone else who is pouring all the extra money into other things. I'm sure they take account that some people will do just as you stated. But most probably won't and that is why they must not worry. I probably would if I went a 2nd time during the year. Now, the last time we went twice in a year, we stayed at 2 different resorts, so we had to buy the mugs again. So now that they've made them for all the resorts, they probably are figuring this will enevitably happen.

I always get them. In the morning I will have coffee and then when I am done with coffee I may want some iced tea. Then when we take an afternoon break I will get a soda or something, then when we get back to the hotel we will want drinks. Plus it is a practical souvenir. The only thing I hate about it is in the morning after breakfast we usually head right to the busses so either someone has to run back to the room to deposit the cups or we have to bring them with us somehow. When we have the kids with us we can just toss them in the diaper bag and shove that in the stroller, but other times like when just dh and I went, we had to put them away in the room.
