Wish they had pink...
There's only one price for the mugs now and that price is $17.99. They don't offer options by number of days anymore.I can't find it now, but somewhere I read what the breakeven point was for each option on the mug - like for the length of stay option, you had to use the mug six times to break even on the cost. Does anyone know where I can find that info? Thanks!
The current price of the mug is $17.99 and the current price of a soda is $3.29. Simply dividing, you get 5.47. Keep in mind, you can, if you are within the time limit, refill your purchased soda. Of course, if you are going back to your room, that might not work for you.I can't find it now, but somewhere I read what the breakeven point was for each option on the mug - like for the length of stay option, you had to use the mug six times to break even on the cost. Yes, there is a chip in the bottom of the mug that is read by where you sit your mug on the refill station, under the fountain spout on this black tray. You are limited to a refill every 2-3 minutes. However, there is some play room for this as filling your mug up often does not fill it totally according to the screen, so you can take a sip and continue filling. After that, you would have to wait. It doesn't feel like too long a wait though. And the tea, coffee, and hot chocolate do not have the chip reader tray, so refill as fast and often as you wantAlright I'm a little confused. Do the mugs have chips or something? If I get a soda and drink it down (which I don't normally do) and want a refill before going back to the pool or my room, I can't do that immediately and have to wait a certain timeframe?
When you say tea do you mean the iced tea machine too? That's what I would be drinking probably. I wouldn't use the chip for that?
times for refills vary I think last year we could refill sodas after about 20 minutes
I'm planning a 3 week trip but the discount I wanted topped out at 14 days. To get around this they booked me for 14 nights and then a second reservation at the same resort and hopefully in the same room. For refillable mugs purposes is the length of stay considered 14 days or 21 days?
Can you get soda, coffee, etc., WITHOUT a mug, or will we have to purchase a mug to get a beverage at our food court (ASMu)? We are not on the dining plan and probably won't drink enough to justify buying mugs, but it would be nice to get the occasional iced tea while sitting by the pool. If we don't purchase a mug, how does this work?
So....If I purchase one of the refillable mugs at my resort, it is good at all the QS locations in the parks? (Can't do the dining plan because we are on a group rate with my son's school)
I've seen several people comment about how they buy only on mug for their family and all use it. Thoughts??
For coffee addicts the refillable mug is a must...unless you're trying to break your addiction of course.
I saw someone who had the middle portion of the lid swapped, allowing for more color options for a larger family. I haven't tried it myself, but it looked cool (ie the middle of the lid was red and the outer ring was blue).
