That's correct. It isn't refillable for free at the parks.....just the resorts. It is only good at the counter services in the resorts -- not those in the parks.

Can you get soda, coffee, etc., WITHOUT a mug, or will we have to purchase a mug to get a beverage at our food court (ASMu)? We are not on the dining plan and probably won't drink enough to justify buying mugs, but it would be nice to get the occasional iced tea while sitting by the pool. If we don't purchase a mug, how does this work?
can you use your mug if you have a split stay?
Sorry if this has already been asked. I am staying at All Star Music in November. The last time I stayed at an All Star was before we joined DVC some I do not know the lay of the land. How many refillable mug stations are there and where are they located? Is there only one in the QSR?
Thanks!
Is water available at all the soda machines? I would assume yes, but I can't seem to find an actual direct answer online. I do not drink soda but would like to have a full mug of water to start my day.
Thank you! I have the FDP so I get the mug regardless. Sodas just make me more thirsty. I'm a water gal!Yes and you don't even need a mug to get the free ice and water.
All mug stations have a white water spigot

We are so doing this. It's a great idea for my group of 7I saw someone who had the middle portion of the lid swapped, allowing for more color options for a larger family. I haven't tried it myself, but it looked cool (ie the middle of the lid was red and the outer ring was blue).
Yes, a marker does make sense but the kids want it as is. Not marked up, even if it at the bottom of the mug. Then there's the lids. They think it looks ugly to mark on top as well. I have to agree.
We tried tying things all sort of other things. Just curious if they have expanded their selection on the mugs. Disney tends to accommodate to a family four. It's not just mugs. We love to do Disney Cruise but just too much for us with that fifth person. Thanks for your input.
Anyone been to POP recently, Curious on the Refill Station selections?

I found out the hard way that there is always a little bit of coffee or whatever beverage you are drinking, even when you think you drank every drop. It was especially annoying since I had a white sweater in the bag. So now I bring some napkins to throw in the cup when I finish the beverage .... and ... a ziploc bag to put the mug in so nothing leaks. If you take the mugs into the parks, please note that the lid is not watertight, even if you close the straw hole. Unfortunately, I probably should've realized this was obvious, but found out the hard way in my backpack! During my next stay, I might bring my own watertight bottle and transfer the beverage into it before heading out.
I realize that these mugs are marketed to Disney resort guests (based on my reading of the sign) which makes sense because the mugs can only be refilled at the Disney resorts. However, would WDW be willing sell mugs to people who not staying at the resort? I don't see any specific rule prohibiting it, but I'd imagine it's not priced attractively or marketed to non-guests.
The reason I ask is that on an upcoming trip, one family wasn't able to get into the same resort as everyone else the whole time, so they'll be split-staying at the Dolphin for the first half of the trip and joining the rest of the group each morning. We plan to do a lot of QS resort dining so it might be worth the price for them, and less so if they have to wait to buy them in the second half of their trip.
