>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

Can you fill the mugs at the parks for just the resorts?
You can get refills at the parks. If you have a meal at a table service restaurant and get a beverage that has free refills, then you can ask for you last refill to be in the mug, if they don't do it, you can always pour your last refill into the mug and take it with you.

I've just deleted a bunch of posts, and wanted to remind everyone of a couple of ground rules.

1) This thread is specifically for the discussion of refillable mug program. Posts on other topics will be removed.

2) DISboards rules prohibit discussion of ways to "cheat the system", or otherwise bypass Disney rules and policies.

We are staying at Kildani and my understanding is that there is no quick service restaurant there. Does that mean that there is no drink station to use with our refillable mugs? We would rather not have to schelp over to Jambo house just to get a refill to start or end our day if we don't need to.

Thanks!

There is a drink station (albeit small) in the store at Kidani. You'll also find pastries in the early morning. HTH

I have two I can get activated, but if it is the same price I might as well buy 4 new ones. I know I will end up with lots of cups, but if I am paying the same I feel I have something new to show for the cost:yay::yay:

There is coffee (no creamer but the stuff in little sealed cups, though) and a soda station, but that store is NOT open in any sort of useful timeframe for an early morning cup. And find out what time they close, too, so you're not disappointed.

That's definitely one way to look at it. I personally go the "I don't need another plastic thing" route, and feel that the coffee is what I'm paying for, not the cup itself. Plus, storing those things gets awkward.

Is there a place that lists all the beverage options at each resort/restaurant? I'm specifically looking for options at Animal Kingdom Lodge...what beverage options are there at the Mara & at the pool (Jambo)? THANK YOU!!

I've never come across a detailed listing of the beverage options across all the resorts -- that'd be an awesome resource. Probably best to ask on the AKL thread if you haven't already.

Some fan sites do list them. For example Port Orleans.org has a list at the bottom of this page http://www.portorleans.org/riversidemill.php

Also many of the older deluxe resorts only have eight soda options rather than the 12 at the value/moderate food courts.

For the Mara I found this picture on Disney Food Blog http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/03/10/review-the-mara-at-disneys-animal-kingdom-lodge/ but the article is from 2013 so selections may have changed.

Thank you! I posted my question on the Animal Kingdom Lodge thread but didn't get any responses. I'm trying to figure out if I should buy a mug for my daughter - my husband and I will definitely be getting them because of our very real need for multiple cups of coffee - but it's not looking like there's anything on there that she'll drink. The picture looks like light lemonade...she would drink regular, but the light has a different flavor. It doesn't seem like any type of juice is included, right?

No juice...anymore. Several years ago Minute Maid Apple Juice was in the fountains at Pop Century. Not anymore.

That is light lemonade -- common choice across the resorts.

One typical choice not shown above is some flavor of PowerAde.

Light lemonade has artificial sweeteners and doesn't taste very good. Especially if it is the Pomegranate version. That is foul.

What colors (for the lids) are available at the Pop? What's mug design?

We were @ WDW last August. We have the Mugs that are darker. We also have the prior ones, pool side. Yes, we have a collection and DH wants to get rid of some. Me and the kids don't want to part with them. It's our souvenirs. And we do use them at home. OK, not all of them.

Hoping for different ones this time. At Pop, what design is on the mug?

Next issue, we are a family of five (we have 2 rooms, that was all I could get at very last minute), and need 5 colors but at most, some resorts have 4. We tried all things to indicate our personal mugs and it doesn't work. There is always an issue w/ my kids and would like to avoid it. Do they sell the old one still? Or can I bring one of my old mug and have it reactivated (paying for it)? This way we all have unique mugs and colors.

If you can reactivated, will my old mugs work since all my mugs have gone in the dishwater?

Lastly, what are the drinks at the stations at Pop?
My kids don't drink carbonated drinks. Most stattions don't have fruit punch. And some lemonades have a flavor added? Light Lemonade or Pomegranate Lemonade. Trying to plan ahead. My kids saw Fruit Punch at the GF station and they wondered why all the stations are not the same. Hoping for Fruit Punch and Pink Lemonade (less tart).

Thanks for all your help.

Mugs are the same as last year. Only four colors and they're the same as they were last year (unless you mean Aug 2014?). You can have mugs reactivated but it's the same price as buying new.

I'd just take a marker and write a name on the mugs if it's that big of an issue.

Yes, a marker does make sense but the kids want it as is. Not marked up, even if it at the bottom of the mug. Then there's the lids. They think it looks ugly to mark on top as well. I have to agree.

We tried tying things all sort of other things. Just curious if they have expanded their selection on the mugs. Disney tends to accommodate to a family four. It's not just mugs. We love to do Disney Cruise but just too much for us with that fifth person. Thanks for your input.

Anyone been to POP recently, Curious on the Refill Station selections?
