I saw an interesting story that reported that thousands of Hurricane Katrina refugees are still waiting for some assistance from the RedCross. They have been calling RedCross day and night but the line is still busy, or if it rings, the people are put on hold for hours- then disconnected.

The people who went to a shelter have been treated better than the people living in their car, friends home or motel. It has been one month since the Hurricane and the people are broke and desparate.

I have stopped giving to the RedCross.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!
FEMA announced today that, due to reasons not completely understood, hurricanes Katrina and Rita have caused a drastic increase in troll activity. All across the country, pots are being stirred at an alarming rate.

"At first we thought the flood waters had simply driven the trolls out from underneath the rocks they normally hide under", said R. David Paulison, head of FEMA, "But the area of increased troll activity is just too big for that to be the only explanation. Now we are looking at the possibility of some sort of high level atmospheric effect that could be stirring them up, because we are seeing troll activity as far north as New York".

The Red Cross was asked whether they would be working to help trolls who had been stirred up by the storm. "No", said a Red Cross spokesperson, " we plan to ignore them. After all, we are in the business of helping people, and trolls rarely have anything helpful or useful to contribute. They just complain about the way we do our job. Our troll releif effort will focus only on providing them with some new pots to stir, but thats all they really seem to want or need".
