A Red Robin Restaurant is being built near us. Has anyone been to one? What is it like?

Yes, I love it. It's a loud fun restaurant. My neice and nephew love it, they always want to go there.

They also have turkey burgers half- sand and soup too. try the onion ring stacks, they are really good.:D

Yes, we have been several times. They serve sandwiches mainly- specialty burgers, chicken, veggie burger etc. Some salads, a little mexican and a little pasta. Their big "hook" is that with every "basket" you get bottomless steak fries. (meaning they will give you another serving of fries as often as you wish) It's very casual- kinda dinner meets contemporary decor. The also have a Red Robin "character" that visits the dining room from time to time. Sandwiches run about $7-$10. It's good but not gourmet.

We had one but it went out of business before we had a chance to try it.

I love their burgers and like minniepumpernickel said the onion rings are mmmmmmmmm good.

It's a great family restaurant. Very good burgers and fries. My favorite is the Whiskey River Burger.

It's not bad. I've only ever ordered burgers and they're pretty good. And they certainly are kid-friendly - I've seen a lot of birthday parties there.

Dawn, I don't know where in CT you are, but if you can get to Manchester, there is a Red Robin near the Buckland Hills Mall (it's the only one I know about - I'm in central CT). You can check it out for yourself.

Dawn, the whole chain started at the University of Washington; I'm not sure how long ago.

They're popular here in Colorado - they're a nice but casual place to have a burger and a beer. Good for after sporting events; at least that's when it seems like we always go there, or right before we go to the movies. The burgers can be done as beef burgers, chicken burgers, or as veggie burgers. My teenage son loves the "clucks and fries", which are HOT chicken tenders and fries. Their soups and salads are good as well.

We have them all over in Washington . They are okay. Not the best, but definately not the worst. Along the same sort of line as Chili's, Applebee's, etc. The burgers are their signature item, but as others have said, they have sandwiches, salads, and some other entree's.

Just went there for dinner last night. I love the guacamole burger and baja turkey club. Our Red Robin is near a movie theatre and they have a deal for about $25 you get movie tickets and dinner for 2.

I live in Suffield. They are building one in Enfield. I do go to Manchester now and then, so I will keep an eye out. Now I am hungry!

We frequent Red Robin because it is my daughters favorite restaurant. They are very kid friendly.. Placemats that contain the kids menu along with games and pictures to color and a small box of crayons. They ususally have balloons blown up for the kids to grab on thier way out. Plus, they offer free sundaes for birthday's..

i've actually been to the one at buckland hills. i thought it was ok.

The one here is still in business, but barely. Don't continue to read unless you want a massive ick factor:

A few months ago a customer found a thumb in one of the salads. Turns out a prep worker had cut off the end of his thumb the night before, and they hadn't found it. Then a poor lady found it in her salad the next day. I haven't been able to eat there since.

But I'd eat at another one, probably. Good burgers.

We really like them but recently Ruby's has taken them out as our burger joint of choice.

I really miss Flakey Jakes. That place was great.

I'm surprised the Robin made it to the East Coast.

Yuck! I suppose that could happen in any restaurant but when they open, I think I will always remember this little story. :D That was an OSHA reportable injury by the way. ;)

The kids like to go to the one in Toledo for their birthdays. The onion ring dipping sauce has a really neat tang to it. I like the burgers and they have a few interesting drink choices. And no thumbs at this one!

I went to one last week with my mom. I usually have either the "clucks and fries" or the BLTA crossant (sp) and have to have a Rookie Magic (oreo milkshake)

I like it better than Applebee's
