Recommendations for Vero Beach restaurants??

Hi all,

DH and I are giving some thought to a three day getaway in mid March to Vero Beach (we haven't been there yet) if there is availability. Other than the resort restaurants any good recommendations for restaurants in the area. I think if we go we may fly into West Palm Beach rather than Orlando since it's about the same distance to Vero and right now I can get better prices to West Palm. Thanks everyone.

We enjoyed dinner at Captain Hiram's. Great seafood, relaxed atmosphere and a great view of the water.

Ocean Grill is real popular..

Ocean Grill and Cap't Hiram's are probably the best two choices - great views at both, Ocean Grill is more formal with great food, while Cap't Hiram's is more of a casual place with a fun, outdoor tropical environment and good bar food. I'd suggest lunches for Hirma's and dinner for Ocean Grill

Don't forget Squidlips.... right down the road from Hirams and also beautiful views!

Capt. Hirams has music. We've had about 10 meals there, we always say we're going to try something else off site, but we find ourselves going back. We're going to VB in March, and we can't wait!

Capt Hiram's for sure! We haven't tried any of the others, but had a great time in January watching the pelicans "interact" with the charter fisherpeople on the dock (pier?) cleaning their fish. Very entertaining. And the food was great! I now suffer from a craving for crab cakes! And the fried lobster nuggets are good too!

VB has menus of restaurants in the area...they are located in the lobby next to front desk.

Hardwood Grill! Outstanding food and only about 20 min from resort.
