Recent reviews on ASMo?

I've noticed that many people have not been happy with ASMo's lately.

This is the only value that we could get when I booked our trip 4 months ago and I was fine with that, even though we always prefer ASMu. Now...I'm getting worried!

Has anyone been at Movies lately? How was your stay?

We were just there the end of September and loved it as much then as we did the last time we visited there... in April! We've stayed at all levels at WDW and I choose the values most times because they are so much fun!! I just love the decor and the design of them. They seem to be geared for kids and when I cross under that archway, that's what I become!!!

I've never had a bad stay at AS Movies. The rooms have always been clean, the food court has great food and is clean, the CMs are nice, and I like it there. It could use some updating like Music got recently, but it will come with time and I've not seen anything that was bad or that would cause me to not want to stay there.

We just got back yesterday and had a great time. The room was clean. The food court was clean and the food selection was very good. The cast members were all very nice and helpful. This was our first stay at All Star Movies (we have stayed at other Disney resorts) and we would definitely stay there again.

I was also worried after reading some of the reviews on the boards but we had no problems and found everything to be clean and well maintained.

Good to hear I too was getting nervous as we have never been and this is a big trip for our group. question we are having 4 room and hope to have each set to two ajoining are we going to be close together or are the joint rooms say one set at each end. Hope you understand what it was I was trying to say.

I was last at ASMO in 2002 and enjoyed it fine. But it sure is getting less-than-glowing reviews lately and everything is so booked in December that I was worried!

We stayed at ASMo in Sept. The room was clean and in good shape. We were in Toy Story. We have stayed here at least 5 times in the past few years and I have to say it is my favorite resort. We have been in all of the bldgs except Love Bug. I have never had a bad room.

Does anyone know if any refurbishing will be going on any time soon at the movies?

Well as I posted before regarding ASMovies, it was the WORST value we have stayed at. IT was the most run down resort on Disney property. Guess it all depends on what you are used to, but even ASSports was much nicer, if you can believe it.

Well, we have stayed at Pop, CBR and the Beach Club before staying at ASMO so we are used to different resorts and as previously stated found this hotel to be clean and well maintained. We stayed in the Dalmation building but walked all through the property taking pictures. The only thing DH pointed out was that the Mickey in the main pool could use a new paint job but that would hardly ruin my trip and they were doing some painting while we were there.
