Received invite to view webcast for VGC!

We did not receive the invitation e-mail, probably due to our East Coast location, but I registered through the link on dvcnews.com anyway. We have contemplated VGC since it is so small and may be very difficult to get if you don't own it.. although that does not seem to be the case now.

Believe it or not I received an invite too..AMAZING..I never received any PINS or other emails until this year :thumbsup2
I'm signed up for the 24th I think. My contract is still in process so I could technically rewrite AGAIN, but seriously doubt my price per point could be less than I already have (under $80). Never know

I wish we would be invited to these presnetations. :(

I am not a DVC member yet but my sister is and she sent me a link to register. You can most likely still register. The page will not let me post a link yet but maybe someone who has it can. I think it came in the e-mail to register.

How do the incentives from the webcast work? It says
'Plus learn about fantastic offers available only during this unique Webcast.'

Does this mean you have to phone in while they are broadcasting?

Sorry if this is a silly question, thanks, Donna.

I'm signed up for the webcast as well. I'll be watching it in my 1 BR Villa at the Grand Californian. Should be interesting. Wonder what kind of deals they're going to offer?

I received an invite, too, and I am not a DVC member, though I do live on the West Coast. I participated in the BLT webcast-it was a fairly nicely done sales pitch, some video of the resort, talk about other benefits, and then some incentives announced at the end. Entertaining, and you got a cool package in the mail when you registered-a notebook, Mickey ears, Mickey confetti, a mousepad....

Well - color me surprised. Fedex just showed up with a packet from DVC for the webcast. It has a GCV mousepad, a notepad, a GCV opening day pin and other marketing material. Very nice and specific to GCV compared to the BLT webcast that had generic DVC items (which were also very nice). :thumbsup2

cool! Here's hoping mine shows up today too! :cool1:

Amazing... I got mine too! Very nice (but that must be the thinnest mouse pad ever :) )

Mine showed up today too... and yes, I agree, that pad is AWFULLY thin, but very nice. I actually liked how the entire package was in the VGC theming... similar to the original advertising booklet we got months ago before we purchased. Doubt very highly we'll add any more points based on the webcast...but it will be neat to watch and see what it's all about.

Man, I hope the mail to Idaho is slow or something . . . :confused3 Guess since we bought 200 points right off the bat that they didn't need to try and get any more money out of us. :lmao:

I'm registered to watch it Wednesday night, but I didn't receive any package in mail/from Fed Ex.:confused3 Really bummed about that!

I just went to DVCnews.com and signed up for it, never know the package is coming or not and I don't want to miss out on the event.

I signed up for the webcast yesterday...for tonight's webcast so there is still space available. We purchased another 100 points at VGC while onboard the Disney Magic in early August but since I won't get to see the resort IRL for awhile I'm anxious for a video tour and some more info...plus a Disney fix is always good! I'll be on my laptop tonight then at 8pm.---Kathy

Not letting me sign on!! I am confirmed, and I click on the link. Says enter e-mail to log in, and it won't work!!

Click on the blue link that says launch webcast by the date- don't do the email. That confused me too!

That will take you to a page and at the bottom it has a button to click to launch the webcast.

Promotion from the webcast:

125 pt purchase - $19 credit per point
160 pt purchase - $20 credit per point
200 pt purchase - $21 credit per point
250 pt purchase - $21 credit per point + $500 gift card
320 pt purchase - $22 credit per point + 1 night in Mickey Mouse Penthouse at DLH
500 pt purchase - $22 credit per point + 2 nights in Mickey Mouse Penthouse at DLH

Opinions?

I was disappointed in the Webcast, didnt show enough of the resort.

It would have been great to see more of the facilities.

Had thought about adding, but incentives were not enough to attract us.

We own at BLT and will stick with that for now.

These were the special promos offered through the webcast for current members:

125 pt add-on, get $19 per point discount
160 pt add-on, get $20 per point discount
200 pt add-on, get $21 per point discount
250 pt add-on, get $21 per point discount plus $500 gift card
320 pt add-on, get $22 per point discount plus one night in the Mickey Mouse Penthouse
500 pt add-on, get $22 per point discount plus two nights in the Mickey Mouse Penthouse

Although they try to rev you up to purchase during the webcast, my guide called me today and said these offers would be good through October 3.

Doing the math, the 250 pt add-on is the best deal, since the gift card works out to an additional $2 per point discount... net $23 per point discount.

Mary
