Anyone know if the REAS add-on's are available yet for 2005 cruises? We're sailing in Jan. and had asked our TA a couple of months ago who said they weren't in the system yet. Rather than bother her yet again, I thought I'd see if anyone here had been able to get the REAS for their 2005 cruise yet. Thanks.

Travel Agents are earning a commission, so I wouldn't feel bad about asking after a month or so. Now a daily or weekly call might be a bit much.

I heard a rumor that they won't be available until September. We're also waiting for them to come out :D

Just asked the same question today at DU. I was told probably October or Nov for the package pricing and what is included for 2005. Maybe we will get lucky and they will release the pricing sooner.

Boy, do I feel dumb. What is a REAS add on?

Romantic Escape at Sea, includes dining at Palo, romantic gift, champagne breakfast, couples massage. Did I forget anything?

Thanks for asking that question. I'd seen that term mentioned all over these boards and wondered what it meant. So, how much does it cost? What is the typical gift? Is the massage after dinner or whenever you schedule it? I take it Palo is the extra fee dining? What does it typically cost w/out the REAS pkg? Where is the champagne brkfast? What is served with it? What would it normally cost priced separately? So, is the pkg better savings over pricing these items together yourself?

Ok have never done the REAS but am planning on adding it to our cruise in 2005.
Current cost 299.00, prices are expected to go up in 2005
Palo..reservations made for you in advance
Couples massage scheduled for when you want it. Not sure of costs there.
Champagne breakfast is delivered to you room when you choose. Palo is 10.00 per person

That is about all I know.

When I called Debbie @ DCL about my Nov 2004 REAS, I asked about 2005 - she said probably Oct/Nov 2004 before you can add REAS to 2005 cruises.

My personal guess on pricing is that it'll jump to $349 :(

I just looked into the REAS for our 2005 cruise, and according to Disney website, it is now $399

This does not justify the money in my opinion:mad:

Yikes, okay well I don't think we'll be doing this.

We're doing a 4 day cruise, honeymoon. I don't want dinner at Palo (I know, I'm a deviant) but would like the brunch which I understand can't be booked through the REAS plan for the 4 day.

I just don't think that $399 for a $50 gift basket, champagne breakfast and a massage is worth it. Even with the turndown service.

Instead I'll put the money toward a nice dinner out for the two of us and a spa massage (couples) after the honeymoon. Might still order the basket though.

Ouch. Spa prices must have really gone up. My TA told me that she expected a price increase for next year due to increases in spa prices, but yeowch. An extra $100? I just don't think it's worth it anymore.

I see it listed for 2005 sailings, but it isn't available to add to the packages yet (just tried tonight)

I had a feeling that the price was going to increase, but WHOA!! $399 is a lot in my book. Glad we were able to do it back in May.

I fully expected $349 because that would account for the spa price increases ... but I think $399 is to discourage those of us that might be "using" the package to avoid the "ressie rush" more than for it's romantic components ... guess you really want to be romantic to pay for it in 2005. :(

Debbie (Disney) told me this week that the REAS package could be booked at this time for 2005 cruises, so we contacted Tammy at Dreams (Sue Ellen is on vacation). Tammy just sent me a confirmation that our REAS package has been added to our January 2005 western cruise. However, Tammy said that we could not yet book the spa or Palo reservations at this time, and she confirmed this with Debbie. Apparently, Disney is making adjustments to some spa times for the REAS package, and they will not take REAS reservations until that is done. Tammy said she would try again in October to book our spa and Palo reservations.

Hope this info helps. Does anyone else have additional or different info re: 2005 REAS spa/Palo reservations?

Can't wait till January!!!!

I personally booked my REAS for 2005 and it was 349. The price of the spa package increase. I called Disney reservation lines myself and added it on last week.

Hi ChrizJen

My REAS package was $339.00, not $349.00

Also, you said that you added the REAS package to your 2005 trip, but have you been able to select the spa and Palo reservation times yet??? As I mentioned in my post, I have already booked the REAS for my January 2005 trip, but my understanding is that you can't book the spa/Palo times until sometime later this year. Did Disney tell you when it would start accepting specific time reservations for the spa and Palo?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

All they could tell me was that they would be sending me the information in the mail. I was not able to make any reservations other than purchasing the package.

FYI....Just received an e-mail from Sue Ellen at DU (she is back from vacation now). The REAS package has been added to our 02/26/05 trip at the price of $339. She also asked me to e-mail her back with our Palo dinner reservation time & spa massage times. She also said that I could reserve Palo brunch & high tea times if I would like. Now it's big decision time
