Hello all, I just made my first ressie for June 5th thru the 10th next year. I own at both SSR and VWL, I used the SSR points to book at the 11 month window. Now my question is, I banked 50 VWL points from this year, can I at the 7 month window call and have them use the banked points instead of some of the SSR points?
Thanks,
Margaret

Hard to say for sure without knowing your use year - is it the same for both SSR & VWL? Will the banked VWL points be valid for the June 2005 stay?

Assuming the VWL points are valid for your stay, you can only use them for the SSR reservation if there is still availability for your dates and the same type of room when you call. You would actually be cancelling the first reservation and making a new one. If there is a waitlist for an SSR 2 bedroom, the room would go to the person on the waitlist and you would lose it.

Bottom line: You cannot reallocate points to get around the 11 month booking window. Assuming there is still availability, it's a good way to use the VWL points though, if you are in danger of losing them.

Best wishes -

I agree with Carol, the answer is Maybe. It all boils down to whether enough units are available when the 7 month window opens up. Remember you would actually be cancelling then rebooking part of your stay freeing up the SSR points and using the banked VWL points. This will actually work most of the time and I would suspect it will in this situation. However, if the resort is booked, they will not just substitute the points for you and they should not.
