Realistically, how many extra fastpasses in a day?

Down enjoying the week and went to magic kingdom on Tuesday. It was wall to wall people, so we used our 3 fastpasses and our day was pretty much up with the kids. Today, totally different story. We had POTC at 10. Walked onto Alladin right before. Had Splash at 11 and got a rider swap to re-ride (seems like rider swaps are only good for the month...so today being the last day had two fastpasses to Splash). Then we met ariel @ 12:30. Those being our first three, got barnstormer, dumbo, journey of the little mermaid, it's a small world, and then the many adventures of winnie the pooh. I know, not many big name rides, but also had a rider swap of SDMT in there from Tuesday. And this was all before 2:30. Probably could have kept going but the kids wanted pool time. So not a bad day at all for the end of June.

We were there Tuesday also. I agree about the wall to wall people. It was packed and hot! We didn't arrive until around 3:00 but by refreshing the MDE app for fastpasses we rode everything we wanted and could have went on and on riding one ride after another but we were worn out and left around 10:00.

You can schedule your 4th fastpass as soon as you tap the third. You can do it while waiting in line. You can also move up your next fastpass after you tap the one before. Subject to availability of course. I didn't keep track but we did several at MK in May.

We are here now and have made tons of FPs each day, even today July 3 at MK. The only one that has been a stinker for us is 7DMT. No problem with the other bigger rides. One day we went to 3 parks because of the ability to book FPs on our phones -- started out at EPCOT and rode Soarin and TT. then onto AK to ride dinosaur, Safari, then dinosaur again. Then onto MK to ride Big thunder and more FPs at MK, not big ticket rides by that time.

I've found that persistence pays off -- we really wanted to go on big thunder today for the 2nd time and it was 2:00 so pretty hard besides being July 3. Sometimes crazy times would show up like 11:30 pm....other times no availability. But one time suddenly a 3:00 showed up and I snagged it. So you just never know!

this is highly encouraging. we are going Aug 2-8. been crazy trying to plan the FP selections around our ADR's and still in a manner to maximize the additional FP selections

I'm curious how many extra fastpasses are realistic on a day like today when the crowd calendar is 10!

We went for two weeks back and June and when MK was listed a 9/10 for crowds. We were able to obtain 10 FP's for the day.

I think it largely depends on how much time you are willing to spend on your phone. If you are willing to spend a lot of time refreshing then it seems like people can have really good luck. I have young kids and really want to be present and in the moment with them, not on my phone. I had a really hard time getting additional FPs for things we wanted in May (there was some availability but not for headliners or M&Gs for us). I also quickly give up after 5 to 10 refreshes with no luck. It was actually very frustrating for me but it seems to work well for others with a higher threshold for pain. :fish:
