Real Life game/fun: Calling for a DisBoard Gamers DisMeet....first week Oct 2013

Alison - Official calendar is updated for our week there. DHS is definitely closed early on the Wednesday!

My schedule is looking like this:

Mon 30th - MK day. I think I'm going to book us in for breakfast at Crystal Palace. We can then have Counter Service for dinner; possibly Columbia Harbour House.

Tue 1st - Epcot day. Lots of grazing at F&W. I am thinking about Via Napoli for lunch; but I suspect we'll have more fun grazing.

Wed 2nd - I have no fixed plans for parks. Is this the night we could try for Raglan Road?

Thu 3rd - DHS day. Cape May Breakfast. I'll book for Bobbi as well? And then I'm guessing we'll do Brown Derby for dinner; followed by Fantasmic!

Fri 4th - No fixed plans for parks; we could go to Blizzard Beach on this day. I'll book for the Wishes/MNSSHP cruise for the night. Including Ed, we're up to 7 in the pontoon. I'll assume we'll one the pontoon with music capability.

Sat 5th - AK day. I'm going to book in for Yak and Yeti lunch. I did consider a character breakfast; but in the end, given we're already doing CP and CM, I think it was going to be too much. I'd like to see the AK parade; so we can do the cookout after.

Sun 6th - Another day of no fixed plans for the parks; we could go to BB. But at night, we're heading to MNSSHP.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you have a great schedule there! I still haven't make my reservations. Still no free meal plan and now I have to pay taxes

What about the Friday night (Wishes pontoon) and Saturday night (cookout dinner)? Are you working?

Happy Easter, Ruthie.

I think I can start booking in 4 days time. So, I'll update this thread when I've done so.

Happy Easter to you too princess: love to your guys too (and everyone else who celebrates it) I'll keep watching the thread

We overlap on the Monday, right? What are you planning food-wise? I've kept that day as a MK day because I remember you saying that you would want to go there that day. Besides, I definitely think it might be my only opportunity to see Wishes.

OK, so this is how my plans would be looking.

Sun, 29th - Cook dinner in our room (Sausage Casserole)

Mon, 30th - Possibly 1900 Park Fare, maybe MK, Definitely CA Grill if I can get it.

Tues, 1st - absolutely no plans, possibly DHS, but probably another dinner in the room (Pan fried meatloaf)

Wed, 2nd - Switch resorts. I'm thinking lunch in Epcot at the Kiosks. Raglan Road would fit in here for dinner.

Thurs, 3rd - I'm planning on spending another day at the Kiosks at F&W. When Fran is conscious I'll ask her if she wants to join folks at Cape May. I guess we'll switch the HBD F! to this night.

Fri, 4th - Probably some more kiosk time as the weekend is coming. What time will we need to be there for the Wishes Cruise?

Sat, 5th - Hoping for the Grand Mariner Tasting event at 2PM, Cookout afterwards, and just hanging around the pool/resort.

Sun, 6th - Again no plans, could do DHS here, but we also need to fit in DTD.

Right now am on mod/light duty so only Mon & Wed working have NO idea where I will be in the healing by then so no can't say

The good thing is that at least for our cookout, you don't have to know until the day before! :thumbsup2

You might have to book in two sets, from the 29th booking and then again from the 2nd booking. They don't let you book 10 days out unless your reservation extends for 10 days, since we had to do it in two reservations, you might have do it in two installments.

Sounds like you have a great schedule there! I still haven't make my reservations. Still no free meal plan and now I have to pay taxes

You can make all the reservations you want now and just cancel them.

Don't even talk to me about taxes. While this was a great year for us financially, Uncle Sam is going to be knocking on our door with some big thugs. :worried: :faint:

That works for me. I'm going to have to call for the pontoon; so I'll do it then.

And I prefer to call rather than use online. Some of the other Aussies have been having issues with booking online. Quite.a.few.of.them. :confused3

Looks great!

I think we would need to be at the Wishes Cruise dock (wherever that is) around 8 pm. I think I'll only find out when I book.

So I'm thinking we should have some sustenance in the room before we go and plan on what we call "2nd dinner" for when we get back. The kiosks will start to be mobbed around 4-5PM, perhaps I'll plan some leftover meals or maybe I need to plan a quick actual meal in the room.

What were you thinking?

I was thinking we would eat a Counter Service or something beforehand.

It would help if we knew where the boat would leave from; and perhaps think about what places were available at that location. I'm thinking it might be Contemporary??

If so, then I'd consider an early dinner at the Wave. Alternatively, there is always something at MK.

I just double checked on AllEars. Turns out there is a Magic Kingdom Marina where the boat would depart from.

That might be a good possibility. It would put us there and I wouldn't have to deal with waking Fran up to get going. But I want her to have enough nap time before the evening so she can stay awake. If we have to be there at 8PM then maybe a 6PM Wave reservation might be a good option.

I bet the boat leaves from the Contemporary.....

If it leaves at the Contemporary, then I'll lock in the Wave. Table for at least 5. :thumbsup2

Maybe I can organise a birthday cake for DH on this night as well; so we can have that on the boat and not worry about dessert.

Is this Glenn's birthday, actually? We would be happy to dine at the Wave. That sounds great! We love birthday cake!

His birthday is the 3rd October. I think if I order one, it might be one from the GF. Might need to go find that cake thread....
