Real Life game/fun: Calling for a DisBoard Gamers DisMeet....first week Oct 2013

I may buy my plane tix for this soon. I was thinking about adding a night once I knew the schedule for sure, but the price of air is pretty good right now, and there's enough time for doing things together with what I have.:thumbsup2

That will make it really real. :yay:

Fran, will you be booking the ADR for Fantasmic, for wednesday the 2nd? It's only me at this point.

Has anyone else been checking up on park hours?

I just looked and it seems that DHS might have an early close on Wed Oct 2. Park hours seem to be 9 - 6 on that Wednesday.

Perhaps we should do the Wishes pontoon on that night???

Folks,

Been rijigging my plans based on the proposed park hours and the possibility that DHS is closed early on Wednesday. If this is the case, I think I'm looking at the following:

Sun 29th: We will arrive late. I think I'll be lucky to be in the resort by 11 PM!!!
Mon 30th: Maybe Animal Kingdom in the morning; Magic Kingdom later in the day to catch up with Denise. No food plans as yet.
Tue 1st: Epcot.
Wed 2nd: DHS by day, Wishes Cruise at night.
Thu 3rd: MK during the day. DHS/Brown Derby and Fantasmic! at night.
Fri 4th. Epcot during the day. Raglan Road for dinner; DTD at night.
Sat 5th. Maybe Blizzard Beach during the day. Cook out at night.
Sun 6th. No fixed plans in the morning. MNSSHP at night.
Mon 7th. Check out and head to Universal.

I'd like to fit in a breakfast; but it is looking like Tusker House might not be doable; unless I do it on Monday 30th.

Bobbi - Maybe Cape May instead??

Hi everyone. Been busy and not much time to.play here. What time would the Wishes cruise start. It would be drive up and back that night for me if timing works out.

Hi Ed! Been wondering how you've been.

I think that for the Wishes cruise, we would need to be at the dock about an hour before the fireworks start. I'm assuming that we have fireworks at 9 pm; which would mean that we would need to be there around 7.45 - 8 pm.

Does the timing work out?

Ed - Depending on the formal schedule release, there is a chance of us shifting the pontoon to Friday night. Would that would better?

I am ok with whatever night works for everyone. Normally when i go up to Disney it is a 2 1/2 hour drive. Trying to deal with the rush hour will probably make it a Gilligans Island reference....a 3 bour trip a 3 hour trip...haha

I'm only there Wednesday to Sunday. If it turns out that you are doing breakfast Thursday to Saturday...I would do it, no matter where. I do really enjoy Cape May's breakfast, never had it at Tusker house, would try it. If it turns out to be Sunday..well it depends on my return flight, and I will go to church.

I'm fine with what you have. I would love to stay at BB for a couple of hours. Depending on the bands, I would be going into Epcot to see a show or two, Saturday after the cookout for sure.

If it is that Friday I would probably stay over. It will be back to back weekends. I will be up the prior weekend to meet Denise.

Ed - It probably will be better for you if we made it Friday, right? That way, you can stay over, spend the day on Saturday and then relax for the cookout dinner. Where would you stay?

And if we do the Wishes cruise, that would make it 7 in the boat. We will have space for 2 or 3 more. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping to catch up with Denise on the Monday. I'll be flying in late on the Sunday.

OK, I must have Unsucribed myself to this thread on my stupid phone! :headache:

I was going to make my ADR at CA Grill when I found out that we are 184 days out, not 180. I started poking around the park hours and noticed these things as well.

We are changing resorts that night and the Wishes Pontoon might be too much for Fran on a resort change day. I liked the idea of the Friday night Pontoon and Saturday cookout.

Bobbbi, Of course your friend would be welcome at the cookout. Would your friend bring some other kind of cut up fruit? :rotfl:

Now that I reread the three pages I missed, I'm going to have to get out my spreadsheet and rework things.

Alison - Official calendar is updated for our week there. DHS is definitely closed early on the Wednesday!

My schedule is looking like this:

Mon 30th - MK day. I think I'm going to book us in for breakfast at Crystal Palace. We can then have Counter Service for dinner; possibly Columbia Harbour House.

Tue 1st - Epcot day. Lots of grazing at F&W. I am thinking about Via Napoli for lunch; but I suspect we'll have more fun grazing.

Wed 2nd - I have no fixed plans for parks. Is this the night we could try for Raglan Road?

Thu 3rd - DHS day. Cape May Breakfast. I'll book for Bobbi as well? And then I'm guessing we'll do Brown Derby for dinner; followed by Fantasmic!

Fri 4th - No fixed plans for parks; we could go to Blizzard Beach on this day. I'll book for the Wishes/MNSSHP cruise for the night. Including Ed, we're up to 7 in the pontoon. I'll assume we'll one the pontoon with music capability.

Sat 5th - AK day. I'm going to book in for Yak and Yeti lunch. I did consider a character breakfast; but in the end, given we're already doing CP and CM, I think it was going to be too much. I'd like to see the AK parade; so we can do the cookout after.

Sun 6th - Another day of no fixed plans for the parks; we could go to BB. But at night, we're heading to MNSSHP.

Thoughts?

I'd love to be included in Cape May Brkfst :wave2: Ruthie

Ruthie! Glad you're here. I was just wondering about this as well. 8.15 - 8.30 timing work out for you?

I must have felt you calling :goodvibes yes that window of time is PERFECT !
If I am back to normal hours at work it will give me time to change and get over there and if still not working on regular schedule then I'm off on Thurs so that is perfect !

ALSO: looking over your plans above, Tues EPCOT probably works for me too !
