Real Housewives of NJ--Official Thread

I am surprised anyone is defending Danielle. This woman is mentally ill and an emotional vampire! SHE is the one that brought the book mess out to the public and she is also the one that has an obsession with the Manzo family, feeding on the chaos that ensues from having a relationship with her. Yes, there were problems between the inlaws as far as Jaqueline, what family does not have issues with other family members at some point? The DIS itself has regular threads about this very issue, I think daily! I also do not see Jaqueline as some type of saint. She likes to stir the pot and step back and watch and play innocent. Look at the comments she made during the reunion--pot stirrer! Back to Danielle, look at her actions, not the constant verbal garbage coming out of her mouth. She even uses her children and abuses them mentally and emotionally. Look at Dina's and Caroline's children, they are not used as weapons or used to stroke their ego like Danielle's children, they are well adjusted from what we see. I think Danielle's children, especially the oldest one is resilient, that is why we see them as not as damaged as they should be with a "mom" like Danielle. Look at the segments with Danielle and her children, it is all about worshipping her and making her look good, with Dina and Caroline, it is about their children--look at the laughter and love they share.

Also, Danielle is on the show and she made the book public, with narcissists there is no such thing as bad attention/adulation. Tiny is not on the show and did not ask to make his issue public.

I can only speak for myself, I'm not defending Danielle. I don't like any of them. I only mention Danielle in my comments about Caroline because that is who she happened to be on her soap box about.

I don't think anyone is actually "defending" Danielle - just pointing out that she is not the only one with skeletons in her closet and definitely not the only one ""creating" drama..

Is Jacqueline a "saint"? Of course not - no one is a saint.. However I do see her as a person stuck between being herself (regardless of what that may be) and being controlled by the ever-controlling Caroline..

As for Tiny's issues not being made "public" - just as Danielle must have considered that her past would eventually come out, the Manzo's had to know they were subjecting themselves to public scrutiny as well.. All anyone has to do is google their name.. Still - Danielle and the Manzo's signed on to do this show (as did Theresa and Joe - whose source of cash income is "suspect" at best) so no one gets to cry "foul" at this point..

I disagree.

There are several people defending Danielle and even consider her a role model:eek:, check out the TwoP boards. Also, noone brought up the book in the media except for Danielle, Tiny was not given that option (of course he is dead, they could not, but his family was not given the same opportunity).

There are plenty of posts exhaulting Jacqueline and denigrating her inlaws. I know the Jaqueline type, and she should be given more responsibility for the problems between her and her inlaws instead of allowing to play martyr. Jaqueline is covert and Caroline is overt. Who is the one who punched who? The "big bad" Caroline or the "poor put upon" Jaqueline?

They are all human and have their positives and negatives. Jaqueline is not a victim, she is equally guilty of the problems in the family.

Danille though, is toxic through and through. She will destroy anyone and anything.

Well we'll agree to disagree then..:flower3:

As for the other board you mentioned, I don't know what or where that is so I don't know what people are saying or not saying..:confused3

This is a quote from bravofan.com

If “what she did” had to to with Lexi, that would explain why Dina was all of a sudden accepting of Danielle’s apology on the reunion last night and why she didn’t want to discuss it on the air, to spare Lexi any additional grief. Another point that we’ve forgotten is that Jill Zarin met with the women recently and blogged that Danielle had done something to the women that was the “worst thing anyone could ever do.” Since we all know Jill’s number one priority in life is her daughter, Ally, it’d be a safe bet that whatever Danielle did had to do with Lexi.

I totally believe that Danielle tried to do something to tamper with Dina's custody of Lexi. That is the only explanation of why she would try to contact Dina's ex-husband. If that IS true than Danielle most definitely IS garbage. Considering her "past" life, I wouldn't put something like that past her.

My understanding it that Dina needed her ex's signature to allow Lexi to be on the show, which she never got...and Danielle told Dina's ex about it.

Wouldn't he have found out eventually?

:rotfl2:

Well, Danielle clued him in to the fact that Dina should have gotten his permission - evidently Dina forged his signature since it was required - and the ex was going to sue Dina. "Allegedly" (I feel like Kathy Griffin). :)

I have a horrible addiction to the RHW franchise and I read at Bravo and Television Without Pity, lol. :rotfl: I did not clarify when I posted that I meant in general that on the several boards I read that there are some people who defend and even consider Daneille a role model. That comment was not directed at any one person.

I do not think with the exception of Danielle that these women are horrible. I think they are just human like the rest of us with a magnifying glass pointed at their negative attributes.

How would any of us come off in the same situation?:scared:

I agree. Whatever it was that Danielle did couldn't have been that bad or Dina wouldn't have been willing to forgive her. Caroline does tend to over-do the drama on things.

I also think that whatever info Danielle gave someone (or was an indirect party to) must have been true, because Dina didn't want to address it. I feel that the Manzo's are ok revealing Danielle's past (as I would be too) but they have no tolerance for their past being brought up. Danielle was probably furious when the book came out and began her counter attack. Maybe Danielle was genuine to want to explain her past and circumstances, but I tend to believe she was doing serious damage control to remain in the show. Her other option might be to get a job:scared1:

Caroline does not forgive or forget and there is no way Danielle will be included in any parties season 2. I don't know how the next season would be if one person is completely isolated from the group:confused3

Well I'm not much of a table flipper, and I've yet to invite a man to go into a public restroom with me...:rotfl:

I did NOT say Danielle, I said the rest of the ladies. I find Danielle repulsive.

If Danielle talked to me the way she talked to Theresa at a dinner party that I had invited her to, I probably would have flipped Danielle and not the table.:lmao:

Danielle is so toxic, she glows from it. Whenever I see her on the screen I feel the need to take a hot shower and get "cleansy". :rotfl:

I also think that with the whole "Dina forgiving Danielle" is because Dina now realizes just how low and dirty Danielle will get. You do not use someone's child to get revenge. Regardless of how any of us may feel about Dina, she loves her daughter and wants to protect her. If placating Danille by forgiving and saying there is a hope for friendship is part of it, then so be it.

I didn't realize there was a "Lost Footage" episode coming up - I will definetly have to catch that. I also totally forgot about the whole "Bxxxs to put this on the air" comment which never made it to air.

J. is still my only "likable" character out of the bunch. Yes, she slapped/punched Caroline but the comment Caroline made to J. "what type of mother leaves her child" would have set me off as well. J. doesn't need to repeat to people over and over that she is tough as nails and stands up for herself - unlike others - and I think that deserves some respect. She did stand up for herself and for what she felt was right when the appropriate time came.

I know others will dis-agree but I believe Caroline is somewhat of a bully. Doesn't excuse Danielle's behavior at all but Caroline is lead B. of her little clan and she likes it that way. I found the somewhat bulliness of Danielle in-excusable (again Danielle is no saint) and unwarranted. Just don't talk to her and go your seperate ways. D. is obvious unstable and needs some serious therapy/help. I do believe her little girls are pretty self-sufficient and may turn out ok - thankfully.

Anyone else feel that Caroline and Dina to a point, keep Theresa around because she's funny - and not in a I'm trying to make people laugh - but in a she says the most ignorant things kind of way. Kind of like a jester in a King's court.

Boring.

They don't pick these women because of sedate, normal lives that they live.

I still say there's not a worthwhile one in the bunch.

I think you just summed up my feelings pretty well..:thumbsup2

I absolutely can't stand the way Caroline tries to control everyone - speak for everyone - act as though she is the only one in the group that has a functioning "brain".. I've known people like that in my life - right down to being as "sweet as pie" about it.. They are every bit as "toxic" as Danielle - and I've chosen to cut them out of my life completely.. Maybe Jacqueline, Dina, and Theresa should try standing on their own two feet - rather than allowing Caroline to control their lives - right down to talking over them and answering questions that aren't even directed towards Caroline.. Maybe then they could avoid all the "drama" that they insist they want no part of.. If Danielle is considered the "Drama Queen", then Caroline is the "Drama Queen Mother"..:upsidedow

I agree. Oh- and I am not so "cleansy" today. I didn't have time to wash my floors yet.

This is exactly what I thought. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. Placate the whackadoo so she moves on.

But the Manzo's did not reveal Danielle's past, she did that on her own.
