Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I'll be in the minority and say that Ken was rude. He was kind of criticizing the way Taylor was trying to save her marriage. And in the end, we all know how that worked out.

It's great he has his own opinion, but you don't have to say it to a vulnerable, hurting person at a dinner party. He should have said something on camera during the interview. If I agree with Ken, which I don't, I would have saved those remarks for a different time and to someone who is not currently going thru therapy.

I am in therapy and I would have been extremely hurt if someone said I was weak. And he said something like "get over it" or "just deal with it", I can't remember exactly what he said.

I used to hate Taylor, but obviously there was legitimate marriage issues and the therapy was not for attention. AND she didn't bring it up, someone else did. And when you are in therapy, you are extremely vulnerable in most cases. Now (well then) she probably went home thinking she really is weak. Well, that's what I would have done.

Like she said, he's a man that carries a little dog in clothes around and he implies she is weak?

Moving on, WTH was Kim wearing?

I kind of agree with this. I wasn't necessarily offended or hurt by what was said but I do think it was kind of harsh and just not appropriate for the given situation.

Maybe it's because I am currently in therapy for depression and for some other things as well but I can totally see why she would take that comment personally or at least feel hurt by that comment. He was basically saying that you shouldn't need therapy to fix a marriage and that going to therapy made someone seem weak. Doesn't matte rif it was just his opinion or not. Other peoples opinions can still hurt.

IMO, seeking out therapy and help from a COMPLETE STRANGER when you know there is a problem is about as far from weak as humanly possible. Admitting you need help and getting the help shows how strong someone is. It takes strength to get help when you need it.

I would be mad though if that dog drank out of my wine goblets. I don't care if you give the thing filet mignon and it has sweet breath of lavender and sugar. Its a dog and he's drinking out of my glasses. I would be ticked that the little rat drank out of the cups I got from Kohls last week. I would be livid if he drank out of my $500 wine goblets.

SO GROSS. Who brings their hairy little dog to dinner and then brings it to the table. I have a dog, but no way to I drag her everywhere and I would be completely insulted and irritated if someone brought their doggy to dinner party at my house and had it at the table. YUCK!

:thumbsup2 Agreed. I usually like Ken, but he came off as very snobby (as did Lisa and I hope they don't make her the villian like a PP mentioned. I loved her dry humor last year and I hope we get to see more of that.)

He didn't say she was weak, he said he would feel weak. I think there is a huge difference. It probably would have been better if he had said nothing (remember, he was asked) but I don't think it would have mattered. Taylor is such a drama queen so I'm sure she would have found something else to make her cry.

eta: Since he was put on the spot, I think Ken handled it the best he could give the situation. I think he was sensitive to Taylor by saying he would feel weak.

BTW, anyone remember who asked him the question? Was it Kyle by chance? She's a freaking trouble maker.

I was wondering why Ken and Paul were at a dinner for the ladies in the first place? None of the other husbands were there.

I thought it was Lisa who asked.

PLEASE believe me when I say I cannot stand taking up for Taylor. But to someone going thru depression or anxiety, I feel pretty confident all she heard from Ken was "therapy" and "weak". Yes, people who are in pain tend to have selective hearing. Is that his fault? I guess technically not. But I feel badly for Taylor and I don't think she was being dramatic. For once.

And to the PP who said how much strength it took for someone to seek help from a complete stranger and bare your soul, I agree a million percent.

I can understand where you are coming from but maybe if Taylor hadn't been such a drama queen in the past I might be able to muster more sympathy. KWIM?

Yeah, I gotcha. And maybe I'm a little biased because of Russel's suicide. I can't say enough how much I can't stand her. Maybe it's the whole therapy thing that I'm relating to, rather than Taylor. I think that's it, the more i think of it.

That's what I think as well. I'm not necessarily defending the way Taylor reacted but I think Ken was an insensitive idiot for what he said. JMO

Good episode tonight! It was nice to see all the girls get along for a change. I'm sure that won't last long.lol. Kyle and Taylor in the jacuzzi was a great scene. I actually felt sorry for Taylor after viewing that. I thought she was very genuine in that scene. And I think that is a first.

I thought she was totally trying to stir up crap and sympathy. She didn't even make sense. She was on about she didn't get married until she was 34 so she'd been alone most of her life so she was more scared than other people of her marriage ending because she'd be alone. Made no sense whatsoever.

Then she'd just say 'I didn't have a voice' or some other therapy-speak platitude. When Kyle said 'did you ever?' suddenly Taylor didn't ever! Sob sob sob. Can't stand her, don't feel bad for her.

Felt bad for Lisa stuck with those loony tunes. Awesome Dr. Zhivago outfit though.

I missed tonight's episode, I'm at my friend's house out of town. Anyway, we were watching ET and they showed a teaser for tomorrow night's (Tues) show. Quite a few pics of Taylor from a hospital bed (I think) and someone most certainly had beat the crap out of her. I mean, it was horrible. So, I guess I'll be sucked in to watching ET tomorrow night and see what they say. But these pics were real, and no matter how much I don't like her, no one should ever have to go thru that.

ETA: Here is the preview.

She got married at 34 and stayed there while he allegedly beat her repeatedly, apparently because she didn't want to be alone' and 'loved him'? Zero sympathy.

She should have left, unless he was threatening to kill her or blackmail or something. But I can't blame the victim. Whatever she did, right or wrong, did not warrant that abuse. A lot of times people who are abused are manipulated by their abuser into believing they deserved it, or the abuser says he sorry, it will never happen again.....there are a lot of reasons people stay in a relationship where the other person beats the crap out of them.

Taylor's opening statement on the credits is almost, if not, the same as one the New York Housewives. Or is that just me?

Oh gosh, I can't remember. And those are the only Housewives I watch, NYC and BH! I'll look and see if I can find it.

ETA: Think I found it in an article. Taylor's phrase pretty much the same as Alex McCord's from Real Housewives of New York? Taylor's is, "I've finally found my voice and I'm not afraid to use it." Alex's was, "I've always had opinions, but now people know it." That's pretty much the same. But Lord help Taylor if she's this season's Alex.

Here's the link to the article for anyone who wants to read more.

I still can't muster any sympathy for Taylor.

No sympathy from me for Taylor. I want to feel bad for her, but I can't trust her. She still seems to me like a conniving (sp?) little witch.

She looks horrible, she has lost even more weight. Her lips look even bigger now w/ the skinny face :scared1:

If Russell's past was really true, how on gods earth could she get involved with him? I think it was all for the "Beverly Hills" lifestyle and that makes me ill AND to bring a child into that environment? she seems so selfish to me.

I agree that nobody should have to go through that, but I think it's pretty lousy that she has decided to release the photos after his death.
