Not a Frozen fan, but I don't mind the topiaries at the flower show or the merchandise, I don't even mind adding it to the holiday stuff. What I think is too far, or maybe poor taste, is shoving the ride in Norway. Add a meet and greet there like other princesses have, but devoting a princess ride to any movie in WS isn't fitting with the purpose of that section. Does WS need another ride? Yep. They should have kept Maelstrom or made it some sort of viking raid thrill ride and then added a global Soarin ride not this. Making it a ride for a make believe place because it is so loosely based on a Norwegian story that it would fall off it was a pair of pants is just poor planning.
By all means, add a Frozen ride to the World (A thrill ride in sleds dangling over mountains in HS would be great, as would a gentler ride in MK), there are enough Elsa costumes walking around that you could get alcohol poisoning playing a drinking game every time you saw one, but stick it elsewhere. They didn't turn Chefs into BOG so I fail to see the logic here. The rush to have one is what boggles my mind as it took 22 years to get a Little Mermaid ride and it was better scripted, better honored by Hollywood and has proven staying power since 25 years later it still resonates. In 2-5 years will frozen still be a draw for new generations or even its current fans who are largely part of the cell phone over it in ten seconds crowd?
On my April 2014 visit Frozen was lacking in the parks in every way and people were demanding more. The movie was then only a few months old. So the sudden onslaught is understandable as is the fan demand because it is new, not quite a year old. But to make permanent changes so soon when they are typically slow to get rid of failing attractions is a mistake. See if Elsa is still everywhere next year, then commit to a ride.
