After many helpful comments and tons of research I've narrowed it down to 2 possible vehicles....

- 2011 Nissan Juke AWD (new model released a couple months ago)

- 2010 Toyota Rav4 4x4 (used) 14k miles

Price is very close on both vehicles.

This vehicle will be used primary as my work car. Only have one teen DS so extra seating is not a concern and I definitely prefer smaller sized vehicles.

Hoping to buy this week... Any comments on which and why would be great:goodvibes

I'd probably go with the Rav4. I wouldn't want the first year of a new model car. Some have lots of recalls as they work out the kinks in a new model car. Plus there probably aren't many reviews of the new car yet.

I've read on some of the Juke "boards" that the Juke should only be tanked with premium gas - not sure if this is true. I really want a Juke myself, but don't want to pay the extra for gas. If you end up getting one, make sure you post and tell us if you like it!

My daughter has a 2010 Rav4 and loves it. I'm starting to consider what my next car will be after the ol' 2001 minivan dies and I'm thinking I'd like a Rav4.

I'm not a fan of either, but Nissans the past few years have had pretty bad repair records, so I'd go Toyota.....depsite THEIR runaway acceleration issues.

My Daddy used to tell me, "never buy the first a new model is released".

No matter how much research the car companies do there usually several bugs that will be fixed in the later editions.
