Ok, so DH and I have been to Disney 6 times together, twice just him and I and four times with the kids as well.
Im ready for a little trip just us. No strollers or diaper bags, probably wouldn't bring a bag at all just to enjoy being low maintenance.
I want to go early February and stay at the Poly for 2 nights and do 2 days in the parks. I know we'll not be able to do everything but thats ok we wouldnt mind skipping Fantasyland thats for sure :).
DH thinks Im crazy but I know he'll probably go for it if I give it a little more time to sink in. Would love to go longer but we have to find free 24/7 care for our girls. We have family that will do it for a few days no problem but dont want to push our luck.
Anyone else done this? How did it go?

My sister is abandoning her 2 young kids and husband in May to go with me to WDW and USO. She's never done it before, but she is SO excited. She probably won't be bringing any bags into the parks either. She will probably be happy with just putting some things into her pockets. No baby bags for her! If you have the support to do so, and have someone to look after your kids, why not? I know so many people who would love to get away from their kids for a couple of days, and just cannot because they just don't have the support to do so. Just because you have kids, doesn't mean you should never get a break from them. I know one couple who have 2 kids. Each year, they take a holiday with their kids, and one without their kids. Every other year, they take a vacation solo (or with friends without the spouse) too. They are financially in a place to be able to do so, but I see a difference between them and other couples with kids who can't do that. They are relaxed, and their marriage is rock solid. I think its important for parents to take their breaks.

I really hope we end up doing so. Being a parent myself I think most parents need breaks. Some never want a minute away from their children but I do not have guilt from wanting a little time for just us. We both work weird hours so we dont see each other as much as we'd like and we know we enjoy WDW.
