Hi, which atomic clock widget do you use and how do you get it to show on the same screen as MDE? What kind of phone do you have? I’ve tried a few clock apps but can’t figure out how to make the clock show together with the MDE app. Thanks!

I am using an iPhone 6s. I am using the Emerald Time App. I watch this and when I have about 15 seconds before park opening I hit the home button and start MDE. I don't know if this will work for everyone but seems to work for me.

Seems like most people are using data, but yes, as the pp mentioned, both have been used with success.

Helped a family next to us that didn’t know what exactly to do. Poor guys hands were shaking while his son watched him try. I helped him and he got BG78. I explained that it was a backup group but that they would probably get to ride. His son was very excited so my day was pretty much perfect after that.

This is amazing! Love to see the people "in the know" spreading the love and knowledge around. Hope you had a great day!! At the very least you have some good karma coming your way!

We'll be down in a few weeks. I'll be laser focused on getting a BG for my own family, but once I (hopefully) secure one, I need to remember to make a concerted effort to look around and assist others if someone near us is struggling. This is a great way to spread some pixie dust. My only reservation is what happens if I offer to help and end up not being able to get a BG for them and then they BLAME ME for it!

I am using a Samsung S7 Edge. The app is called "Atomic Clock and Watch Accuracy Tool with NTP time". I know android phones can have "Widgets" that float like a window in a computer, not sure about apple though.

i had zero issues getting the red button immediately today. But i was a little late opening my app this morning. I normally launch it at 7:59:55 as it takes 5 seconds to load cold. I prefer to see my phone tick over to 8:00:00 when i'm on the fireworks. Then i take a breath and hit the AT-AT. Button is ALWAYS red with this method. I didn't launch the app until exactly 8:00:00 this morning. Still plenty of success.

My first attempt day i'm planning on not even staying in the part and rope dropping AK for FOP and then have EP fastpasses starting at 12:30 so i am planning on waiting about 20-30 seconds in an attempt to get bg 40-60. I do have two other HS days later though so I'm quite confident at this point.

Does anyone have any experience on how long to wait to get an afternoon boarding group? Does waiting 20-30 seconds work, or are boarding groups assigned randomly?

The Chart on Post #2 has been updated.

Big day - 142 BGs were called - 61 Regular / 81 Backup - just 5 shy of the peak BG count we've seen during this current 12-12.5 hour park day period.

Visuals below. Love the recent trend, although I'd still caution to be prepared for any conditions that may happen on any given day. History suggests that performance (both ride performance and elapsed time to fill BGs) can shift around, sometimes in sudden / unexpected movements - so best to always keep an open mind on things.

There's a few posts on this thread that discuss this but I don't think they are relevant anymore. Bg are into backup after about 40 seconds or so usually and if you want afternoon you want around 75. That is if it's running well. If not? Who knows. My inclination would be to wait until about 8:00:25 and see.

If you have morning fastpass at another park it's possible get would help you out but who knows. I have the same plan as I'm planning on tapping in and then rope dropping ak and fop. Will see

Personally, I would not try to "time" the system like that - rather, get a BG and live with the results. Granted that requires flexibility in your day - but I think that's the best strategy to experience the attraction given current conditions.

I could understand if GET wouldn't do this because they have enough issues to deal with, but if you had a super low BG # and wanted to switch with someone else, do you think they could do that? I would want as low of a number as possible and if someone wanted to trade for my higher numbered BG, I might be willing to stand in a GET line for 10-20 minutes if that could be done.

I think they would just give you an anytime return if you had a very low bg. But most people trying to time it would likely be trying to Rd other parks and may not be in the park at open. At least that's my plan, so I'll just have to live with my results as I'll be in line for ak tapstyles at 8 am. I plan to wait 25 seconds. But that is just 1 of 3 days for bg. The other two are full HS days with HS fastpass

Are they all connected on mde? Then just select all and go that way. It doesn't matter how many in your group for odds of low bg

I would have everyone trying fir all 12 at the same time, especially if there are those who have only the 12 in their friends and families lists and can select all. I would not break up into groups and then hope that GET can bring you together.

Rename the people not going for a bg to have their last name start with zz. That will put them all at the bottom of you list and make it quicker to tap all. Based on the last three days I wouldn't worry too much about a 5-10 second delay, you'll do well enough to still ride in the am. But it could all go south in a hurry tomorrow so who knows
