Thanks! How early do the ticket booths open? Or could I go to guest relations in Disney springs the night before?
Tried from home again this morning. Had app loaded but not open. Button would not activate for me until about 30
seconds in and only after I closed the app completely and re-opened it. I opened the app 5 seconds before 6, toggled back and forth between find out more and join boarding groups. I'm thinking I didn't give it time to actual activate. Do we need to give it a few seconds to light up or should it be red the second we get to the join page, or did I open the app too soon, better to wait until the clock strikes 7? I would've still been able to join a group, but my number would've been really high I think. Our schedule needs an early morning ride!

I'm going for it tomorrow as well, hoping that Monday will be a better day than the weekend crowds. I plan on being at the bus for 5:45. I'd prefer a late BG but I'll we all get what we get. I don't want to get up this early again, so fingers crossed. My phone hasn't been opening the App very quickly, and I'm worried about that for sure. Good luck, may the force be with you! We’re making our first attempt tomorrow too - staying at Riviera. We’re in a bit of a weird spot for tomorrow. Two months ago when we made our fastpasses and daily park plans, we obviously did not know or consider boarding groups playing into this. We only have one park-opening day planned for DHS. Tomorrow’s an Animal Kingdom day, but first FP not until almost 10 (was supposed to be a start slow morning - that’s out the window now), and our FOP FP is at 12:45. So we’re in a situation where we’re actually kind of hoping for one of the last regular BGs, so we can come back later in the day. If we got one of the lowest #s that would be good (although obviously difficult to put any stock in), but otherwise we’re stuck in no man’s land. Also seriously sucks that Skyliner’s not running that early.
Apologies if this has been asked and answered. Once my party joins a boarding group, do they have to all return to ride at the same time? Thanks!
It works just like a fp where each individual has to tap in to ride with a MB or park ticket, so you don't have to go on togetherGood question. I’d like to know the answer to this, too.
Tickets booth open about an hour before official park opening time. DS guest relations and ticket center are open until 11pmThanks! How early do the ticket booths open? Or could I go to guest relations in Disney springs the night before?
Congrats! Am I reading this correctly that it opened 4 minutes earlier than usual (approx 6:56 vs 7:00)?
if you purchased Canadian discount tickets you would need to visit Guest Relatiobs for sure.If Im staying off site and bought tickets through the app, do I need to do anything before lining up at the park entrance? Do I need to visit guest relations to get a physical park ticket or anything?
I don’t believe this is what OP is saying. That’s when they opened their app but there are no reports that BG’s opened before 7am today. Don’t want to unnecessarily open that can of worms.Congrats! Am I reading this correctly that it opened 4 minutes earlier than usual (approx 6:56 vs 7:00)?
yes there are signs. When you arrive at the park, are there signs or cast members that indicate which security line is for bags vs no-bags? I assume there are signs but just preparing for it to be very busy on President's Day weekend and will have a backpack with us. Thanks
I’ve practiced doing this enough times now and my results are slightly different almost every time I try. A couple of times I’ve refreshed back and forth two or three times through “Find out more” and not gotten the red button, but then I try “my status” and that button is active.
From my own experience and reading this thread my conclusion is that no method works better than another every single time and that there is an element of chance involved in whether you get a single digit BG or one in the 50’s or above.
Signs and security CM directing. Sometimes the no bag lines are longer than the bag lines but all in all you should go through within 5 minutes at the mostWhen you arrive at the park, are there signs or cast members that indicate which security line is for bags vs no-bags? Gotcha! Definitely don’t want to confuse the twoif you purchased Canadian discount tickets you would need to visit Guest Relatiobs for sure.

Sadly even people on property have been saying ride share is the best way to get to DHS, if you can’t walk. :/So we got screwed by Disney Transportation. Skyliner wasn’t running till 8, of course, so for us the only real choice was the bus (staying at Riviera). We got to the bus stop about 6:10-6:15. There were others already waiting. Bus came at 6:53. Didn’t get to the park until afterthrough tapstiles about 7:20, got backup group 117.
Really frustrating. Went back to the desk at one point, they were no help.
I'm guessing that has to do with ratcheting down the number of guaranteed groups. Less guaranteed groups, less recovery the next day.Would love to know why the first group has slowly dropped from starting at 10-13 down to now 2.
