PP hasn't gone yet. They are thinking ahead about getting there. There are some resorts with LOTS of ECV traditionally. I've seen very long lines of them waiting to board buses. With 2 max per most buses (few can take 3 I think) if there are 4, 5 ECV you will have an issue. Or at least a long wait.
MAkes sense. I haven't had a issue yet, but have only needed the ECV for 2 trips and we are typically EARLY when we want to rope drop.

Quick moderator note...

Just a reminder that the DIS is a family-friendly website and the use of profanity is against DISBoard Guidelines. That includes using abbreviations in place of the actual words themselves (which in DISBoard Guideline terms is considered circumventing the profanity filter). Posts that contain content against DISBoard Guidelines may be removed and/or subject to warning points.

:thanks:

There are five of us so the Minnie Van could be an option, but we’re all happy to walk. So we can go back to the dolphin and catch the bus if we need to! Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience that early with getting to another park! Thanks so much for all the help that you and everyone has given! Feel prepared and hopeful to ride!
Boardwalk would be closer.

I do agree that once you tap into another park they can tell that you must not therefore still be in DHS but, and maybe playing a bit of Devil's Advocate, but why shouldn't you still be eligible for a BG? You still did what was required, to scan into DHS meaning you are eligible for that day to come to DHS/used up a ticket day/etc
That's how it's implemented, but that's not what Disney requires. Disney says all Guests must be in the park to be eligible. So they would be justified in denying access to a BG if a Guest taps into a different park before getting one.

Yesterday I had FP for Big Thunder at MK, we missed those because of our RoTR boarding time and had them replaced when we got to MK with a ride anytime same day FP when we got there, Mine Train was also down and that was repalced with a ride anytime FP when we got there. Made those last 3 hours at MK very easy.
Did you just stop at GR to have your Fast Passes replaced?

Why would you guestion if it is really valid? It has already been posted by another guest that the Minnie Vans that accepts scooters do not run that early and as a single female, Uber and Lyft are not options I feel safe with. No problem, it is all good, you may have missed my other post.
Did you see the PP suggestion of calling Mears for an accessible taxi?

Hi, I already tried to ask this question once but don’t think I was clear enough. We are walking from the dolphin tomorrow morning to tap in at HS by 6:20. We will wait to get a boarding group and then head out immediately to catch morning EMH at Animal Kingdom. Are the buses running from park to park that early, or are we going to have to walk all the way back to the dolphin to get the AK bus there? Thanks so much for all the tips and help, read almost all of this thread for tomorrow and Sunday. My girls hearts are set on being able to ride sometime this weekend, and we’re going to give it our best shot!
When I drove Disney buses several years ago, park-to-park buses didn't start until both parks were open. But if you see someone in an orange vest near the entrances to the bus loops, you can ask them. They might be willing to have a bus heading to AKL drop you at DAK on the way.

I have gotten an accessible uber, so the do exist.
In some cities, Uber partners with accessible transport providers. There is no way to request an accessible Uber in Orlando. The only way you can carry a scooter is if you can break it down and lift it into the vehicle's trunk.

But as a PP said, Mears does have a limited number of lift-equipped taxis available on request, at least in the Disney area.

Wow! They're currently boarding BGs 44-49 at 3:45pm. I think that's the smallest range I have ever seen. :( This is probably going to end up being the worst throughput day we've seen. I can't imagine that they're going to get anywhere close to even two thirds of the regular BG's today (backups start at 116).

I don't think it can be easily closed unless they implement GPS tracking from your phone. You can't tap to leave the park so without doing GPS (whch would lkely cause more issues then it helps) they don't know for sure if you are still in HS or not unless you tap into another park. I don't see them doing GPS on it so without that all they know is that you last tapped into DHS.
How would they close this “loophole”?

I can tell you as a professional app developer that the problems that would arise from attempting to use the phone’s GPS to try to block folks from doing this would far outweigh any supposed benefits.
I was thinking more along the lines of what others have mentioned - that once you have tapped into another park, they know you are no longer in DHS.

Oh, and I've been a professional application developer for over 30 years. :) I think I have an idea of what it would take.

Sayhello

Last Saturday we got a BG, rode TOT and RNRC (single rider), and were finished with both a little after 7:30. We then wanted to go to DAK for EMH. We walked toward the bus stops and asked a CM there (there was someone at a blue umbrella) if the buses to DAK were running yet. She told us they were and that one had just been dispatched and would be at the stop soon, which it was. So, we were on the bus before 8 AM.

If there had been no bus we were prepared to walk to the Boardwalk bus stop or, if a boat were approaching the dock, take that to the Swan/Dolphin stop.

Agree on that but tapping into DHS and then going back to your hotel I would expect to be fine. Once you tap into another park I'd expect all bets are off.

From past posts I've seen if regular bg doesn't get called you can get a FP for the next day. Do you have to be in the park to physically get this or does it automatically go on your ticket? Eg If I got say bg 80 and was waiting in hotel for it to get closer and like today its going very slow would I have to return to get a FP or would it just show in mde?

I have BG 84 and I already have a fastpass loaded on my account for tomorrow (RoR is shown as eligible). Does anyone know how I use it? Can I just show up whenever tomorrow?

One has to assume that a ton of FPs are going to be handed out due to today’s poor performance. Heading into an extremely busy holiday weekend, that is not good! 40%+ of tomorrow’s ride capacity might be given to recover from today. So you’d also figure that regular BGs tomorrow might be much lower.

With ADRs and prebooked FPs it’s hard to move your days around but I’d hate for tomorrow to be my only DHS on a trip...
