BG were full by 7:45am and backup bg became available

That's pretty fast. I assume they aren't adding more BGs beyond 105 in the initial distribution just in case there is ride difficulties. But until that happens, I'd plan to ride if you get a backup BG.

After living here in Orlando and being an AP holder for the past 22 years I have learned not to try and figure out what type of procedures Disney is doing or assume anything

But part of the fun is trying to figure it out. That's partly why disboards exists! Yesterday it appears they got to all 144 BGs (including backups) for those trying to plan. Question: Can everyone in the party (including kids) book the VQ for everyone else in the party? It appears so but wanted to double verify.

If I understand the question right you ask if one person in your party, can book the VQ for everyone and not just each individual person booking on their own?
If this is the question then yes. It works just like if you were booking fp for the entire party.
As long as everyone wanting to ride have tapped into the park

Asking primarily if my teenage DD has the authority to make and cancel VQs for the family. Honestly, I don't think she even has the app yet.

well, yeah, if she has the app and has, let's say, your login, she can make plans and change them.

yeah, you would have to accept her invitation to manage plans.
Ever since the advent of MDE I have shared my login with my 2 kids (currently 23 and 19 years old) I don't mind sharing the login cause I know they won't do anything dumb but if you see the need for her to have her own login then, sure

Sorry for off topic but from experience, I would not have her create her own MDE after you already have plans set with her under yours. We did that once and it was a giant pain getting it straightened out during the trip because it appeared that she had 2 separate IDs. We had to go to guest relations several times during the trip to get it sorted out.

So just to confirm, to avoid risk of phone issues, I can have multiple members of my family download the app, login as me and all try to get boarding groups at the same time? Just want to make sure multiple logins in the same account won’t interfere with each other.

The way we have it setup. My wife has the account with me and the teenage daughter on her account then we all have the app and password on our phones and that way any of us can make or change plans really easily. It has worked out great for years this way

yeah, that's what my DD and I did when we went. We both were using the same login, she got in first

Last Q: If my spouse and I (using our own MDE accounts) both hit the red Join Boarding Group around the same time and select our family and click Join, will we both be presented with BG #s before we "accept", or will one device just error out after the other one is presented with a BG #?

We're going in a few weeks. The current plan is to get a higher number boarding pass to allow us to return and ride later in the day (mid-afternoon ish) due to existing FP and dining reservations in other parks. If we happen to get a boarding group that's called at the same time as our dining reservation that was made a few months ago, how flexible are they in accommodating us?

you have 2 hours to return to the ride after your bg has been called.

no one has reported this happening so not sure if it would give an error or not. BUT once one has joined a BG you can't join again from another device
