Rate my lunch

My computer is having an issue and doesn't want to cooperate. I will have to put the photos on a disk and load them at work tomorrow.

It will take all of 5 min. to upload and post tomorrow. My connection is really slow tonight for some reason. And I think I did a really good job with presentation.

I had a Bistro Steak Salad. It has gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, and a balsamic vinagrette. My beverage is English Breakfast tea. I added my Mickey keychain for a decorative item, and you can catch a glimpse of DD's lip gloss and cell phone, too.

Go ahead - rip my lunch to shreds, I mean, rate my lunch.

Aha...but did the salad ALL stay on your plate? I'm looking at the table, surrounding walls, and they look free of lettuce...HAHA ;)

Good morning lunch people.

Just so nobody thought I never eat any fruit, here's a pic of my smoothie this morning. It's frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, and orange juice.

Ok, go ahead - rate my smoothie.

Alrighty, here it is!

Lunch:

A sandwich with honey turkey, provolone, tomato and Hellman's light mayo on whole wheat bread. A spinach salad with grapes and bleu cheese and Red Wine Mist salad spritzer. A mushroom rice noodle bowl. For dessert a 100 calorie pack Oreo Thin Crisps and to drink a chilled bottle of water w/ bendy straw.

Sorry you can't see the dessert better but the other pic I took didn't come out right for some reason.

Atmosphere is cool...kudos on the mickey glass and elusive bendy straw...and the smoothie itself sounds yummy...
BUT i must deduct for crooked picture...said smoothie will slide off the table and that's just scary!

Well Merle, that looks like a super healthy lunch. However, I couldn't help but notice the DD cup in the background. Did you get any donuts to go with that drink?? :teeth:

This looks yummy, healthy and for that I give you a 9.5 (-0.5 as I don't like bleu cheese :teeth: )

Dinner:

Pancakes with butter and syrup, turkey sausage links, a Milky Way Dark for dessert and a mug of hot tea for my scratchy throat. Sorry no bendy straw but please notice the flamingo theming, the tray, salt and pepper shakers(even though I didn't need them) and candle holder. And to top it all off a nice Royal Carribean napkin. :thumbsup2

A close up of my pancakes, I actually had three, the third one didn't make the cut for the picture.

Sandwich presentation is just fab, and sounds so yummy...
Blue cheese on salad is icky, but that's just me...
Love the spritzer, although the half flamingo trying to get to it is creepy...
And send the Oreo's this way!

And lastly my snack, taken just for the heck of it, no set up for it.

I took a close up of the jar so you could see they had directions on how to use the sauce.

Kudos on the whole wheat bread for your sandwich, but real mayo would have been better. 9 for the main course.

Salad sounds good, and you obviously like living dangerously eating bagged spinach. Water bottle is elevated by the presence of the bendy straw. I give you props for your adventurous spirit. Noodle bowl - not for me. Can't get behind that. 6 for the sides.

Dessert is fine. Some coffee or tea to go with would have been lovely. 7 for the dessert.

Presentation is lifelike, in its office setting. The little critter peeking over the salad area is cute. Cutlery is boring, but neat. 7 for the presentation.

Average score = 7.25

Merle: your "dinner" of pancakes is wonderful!! YUM!! And the presentation is hilarious...the not needed but thematic s&p shakers...lol!

Now your dessert, well, you can't go wrong with vanilla ice cream...and the directions on the chocolate...:rotfl2:

My only complaint is that you didn't light the candle. ;)

You are grasping for straws! :rotfl2: What have you been drinking so early this morning? :rolleyes1 You're just mad that she didn't invite you for smoothie this morning, huh? :scratchin :teeth:

Smoothie looks great, LB. I do think the glass should be a bit fuller, however, but I will only knock you down 1/4 of a point. So 9.75 for this morning. :thumbsup2 I'm in an easy going mood today.

OK, Merle, that lunch meal would last me at least 2 meals. You could ditch the noodles, but I won't ding you for that. A garnish on the plate would be nice. Maybe a little fruit instead of the carbs of the noodles next time? Remember, according to luvflorida, you don't actually have to eat it--just stick an apple on your plate for show! :rotfl2: But I'll give you a 9--nice job overall. We do expect a little more from lunch. ;)

Dinner is very cute! I'd give you a 9.5. Do we really need dessert with pancakes? But I can see why you added it--damned if you do, damned if you don't with this crowd! :rotfl: Maybe some melon or a glass of OJ (the juice, not that man....). I do like having breakfast for dinner! :thumbsup2

Ok, Merle, this is more like it. Normally I would mark you down for the white flour pancakes, but the fact that they are Mickey shaped makes up for that. Your dinner is beautifully arranged on the plate, you include hot tea  , (btw, bendy straws are not required for hot beverages), and your flamingo theme is both cute and consistent. Your dessert is not just chocolate but dark chocolate (my personal fave). Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous.

I'm going to skip the averaging this time and just give you a straight 10. Great dinner! :thumbsup2

Sorry, it's an empty cup with packets of crackers in it.

BTW, last night I told my DH that before I can do any of these meal pictures, I would need to get bendy straws. He now officially thinks (knows?) that I have lost it!!! :rotfl2:

Was that the straw that broke the camel's back. :lmao:
