I also agree. Yrs ago I was also a single parent, made about $6 an hr, and my job offered no insurance. I priced several private policy's, the cost per month was more then I made! Medicaid picked up ds, I had no insurance and prayed that if I got hurt it was in a car accident so the car insurance would cover it. I know several people who are still in this situation, picking up insurance at work means they can't pay the rent or buy groceries. Not everyone has relatives who will babysit for free so they can work a second job and never see their kids. The price for daycare is almost as bad as insurance!
