This is a truly remarkable man, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, who is battling Pancreatic Cancer...

Anyway, he did a lecture for his students at CM and more importantly for his children to remember him and it has gotten a lot of attention:

He is an imagineer for Disney and a truly gifted speaker, a father, husband and just plain remarkable..

If you choose to do so, you can google his show on Oprah yesterday, pretty powerful to watch, but so uplifting for those of us who face these kinds of illnesses everyday..

He asks are you a Tigger, a doer, upbeat, or are you an Eeyore, down in the dumps, always doom and gloom...I had to think which one am I lately and which one do I want to be....Definitely Tigger.

As bad as it is he has received a gift in being able to say goodbye to his family and friends.

I saw this show yesterday and he has inspired me so much. So much so, I sent a link of his last lecture to my close family and friends...even though I am sure that some of them might not want to watch it. That show was right, that we don't deal with death and dying enough, and its something we all will have to face in our lives. My best friend lectured me and ask me why I watch things like this that just upset me. I feel like these type of shows make me appreciate my life more, I know losing my parents made me try and live life one day at a time and to the fullest. I lost both my parents to cancer, my mom specifically to pancreatic cancer so parts of that show really hit home for me. My heart goes out to Randy and his sweet wife and children. God bless them all and all those touched by cancer and all terminal illnesses.

If you didn't see the lecture, I suggest you do! I love the fact that he is a clear Disney lover!! Just like us....

I thought he got a rejection letter from Disney Imagneering, though, and later was a consultant, but not an actual Imagineer, for Disney Quest, among other things.
