Rainy Day - Which shoes do you wear?

I always wear my mary jane crocs for wet weather or parks that have water rides. They dry very quickly and they are still comfy. I hate the feel of wet sneakers too!!

We always wear sandels or our Lands End water shoes. I have a pair of Lands End water sandals too.

I wear croc all time. However when the bottom is wet or on wet pavement or floor they can be really slippery! I have slipped and fallen many time (smooth floors like a store)

I don't wear them any more, but back when I lived in Crocs, I fell during a rainstorm right there between Ice Station Cool and the fountain in Epcot. That concrete doesn't give and I'm too old and fat to be bouncing on concrete!:rotfl: I thought I broke my tail bone.:rotfl: After that I refused to wear Crocs in wet weather.:rotfl: They were brand new for the trip, so the tread was good on them.:confused3

Sounds painful - been there, done that.

That is the nature of Crocs. After spending hundreds of dolllars on new Crocs all of the time, in order to ensure the tread was new, we gave up. They weren't even that comfortable either. :confused3

They are very overpriced for what you get - around here, anyway. Although now, they are frequently on sale, as no one wants them anymore.

I have no fear of my kids, or hubby or I slipping at WDW in the summer heat and wetness (sweat, rain and humidity) with Keens, Teva, Merril, New Balance or Solomon shoes.

Crocs are slippery, period, not just in wet weather, but in wet weather, they are a downright safety hazard. I cringe every time I see babies/toddlers wearing them at WDW, especially in wet weather. Many schools around here banned them long ago, due to them being unsafe.

I wear Teva's, but any kind of quick dry athletic sandal with support will work too.

Chacos!! They have great soles as they are made to be worn in wet outdoor environments. :) The straps dry pretty quickly, and I think they're a good investment.

I am still trying to find the best sandal rain or shine to alternate my sneakers new balance for my trip in August. I bought Orthaheels they help my heel problems and plantar fascitis but the plastic makes it not feel that great and the thong is plastic and it hurts in between my toes. I bought Clarks' Daisy Bloom this week, they offer great support but gave me chafing/blister on the top and in between my toes hurt. I am stressing out just looking for a good shoe/sandal. I was going to try Crocs but now I fear I will fall in them and now I will look into Teva Mush and Chaco's. I have tried to find Merrell's Pesaro online and can't find them anywhere. Any help, would be appreciated!:confused3

i have slipped on the ramp going down by the monorail in both crocs and flip flops. that is the only place i had problems, i will deal though because i cant stand wet sneakers.

Ehh, I would bring some sort of sandal with a good tread. Other shoes may get too slippery! :thumbsup2
