Although I am praying for good weather, what park is the best one to go to should we encounter a rainy day? Which one has more to do inside (shows, etc.) We will be at CBR 2/2-2/12 (Me, DH and DD-5yrs.)

Thanks for any advice.

we're still in the dry season in February. but if something develops, your best bet is MGM. most attractions are indoors.

Grab a poncho (or not) and have fun. We got caught up in rain on our trip last June and had fun walking from one end of Epcot to the other. We still talk about that trip. The only un-fun thing about that was getting in the air conditioned bus. Wow was it COLD!!!

Disneyquest or taking in a show would be some other ideas.

We don't change our plans for a little rain!!! We've done AK in the pouring rain and we've done Epcot in the rain. This year it rained some every day and we never looked back!!! Just keep the old ponchos in your park bag and you will be fine! :thumbsup2

I agree with the grab a poncho thing. Usually in Florida rain doesn't last long anyway and it makes the crowds smaller.

Disney sells them in all the gift shops. They are also at all of the Dollar Stores. I would pick up a few before you leave.

I think the best park for a rainy day is Epcot. There are all the countries at the World Showcase, plus Innovention, which will keep everyone occupied for a few hours.

Another one is MGM. Some of the shows are covered, so they'll still preform. And there are a lot of indoor rides to keep you dry.

DisneyQuest is a popular solution for rainy days. But you have to pay for a different kind of ticket to enter, and it gets very busy when its rainy. Downtown Disney shopping is also a good way to beat the rain.

Or like others have said, grab a poncho and hits the parks. They are usually really empty on rainy days. :woohoo:

On one of the days we were there it rained in the morning. While I was walking from my room to the lobby area another woman made a comment to me like,,, we'll its raining, parks are closed, guess we'll have to find something esle to do. I looked at her and laughed. Heck,, its ony water. We got to MK and it was down to a drizzle. By 1pm it was blue sky's and the park was practicly empty. The longest line we had was 10 minutes and that was for Indy Car speedway. We walked on to Buzz, Haunted Mansion, Its a Small World, Many Adventures of Pooh, Splash Monutain and Thunder Mountain. Peter Pan and Space Mountain each had a 5 minute wait. It turned out to be a GREAT day for us. I say don't let the weather get you down.

Take or buy your ponchos and go to the park. I hate to say this because I'm hoping for rain in August and hate to give away the secret but one of the best days we had in Magic Kingdom was a day it rained, really rained until lunch.
We went early with ponchos and walked on most things and this was the week before Easter! We even rode Astro orbiters two times without getting off(no one was waiting to come up the elevator) This was the first time in over 20 years I had ever been on because the line was usually waaay too long. So take your pochos and go you won't melt.

A good tip is to have the kids wear their water shoes or sandals and bring dry shoes to change into if it does stop raining. I just carried them that evening in a bag and they were not very heavy but felt great to have on dry shoes.

I would get rain gear and enjoy the rain and the somewhat lesser crowds as a result - if you like rainy weather (I do) then AK can be a great place to go - the animals tend to enjoy the rain and are more active in it (from my visits) and there is nothing quite like walking the trails in the rain

My other choice would be MK - so many attractions to duck in and out of and if it gets really rainy go into the HOP or Small World to get an extended period out of the rain

cheers
