Hello! It's been several years since we've been to WDW. Our family used to always have one lunch or dinner at Rainforest Cafe. We are now coming as a group of 10 (with two young grandkids). Is one location better than the other? Worth going anymore?

It's probably been about 5 years or so since we've last been, but we ate at both locations twice, and seriously enjoyed our meals & service at both. I kinda like the one @ AK a lil bit better, probably because we've eaten there just after/b4 park day.

We had a late lunch at the RFC at AK and it was great. Not someplace we would have chosen but we were hot tired and hungry on our way out of AK, so we decided to give it a try.

Service and food were great, we remarked after that it was one of our favorite meals.

We always try for at least one meal at the AK location. Been doing it since it was first opened. Nostalgia factor in effect, but always enjoy it. Even with out the grandkids.

AK location serves breakfast, it is actually pretty good and reasonable by Disney standards … ‘secret’ entrance to the park as well

Food was ok in Nov when we went, kids love the atmosphere. Go to whichever one is easiest for your group’s plans.

Food is just ok. I feel like it’s loud but with kids of the right age we have gone. It is somewhere I would not pick or recommend for the food.

Ok. Have only gone to the one at AK, but have heard it is a little larger & better than the Springs location. For the past 15 years we have ate at Rainforest every year. Sometimes twice or even three times in a year.
Grandson & Granddaughter (cousins) were 8 & 9 on the first visit & Rainforest is still the first request they make when we plan our trip.
We usually have as many as 12 in our group but we always call the location itself to make the reservation instead of going thru Disney.
Last trip was May 2025, just my daughter & me for my birthday. I have a Landry's card so since it was my birthday month, I got the $25 credit off the meal price & the manager always comes out to the table.
For food, I always get the 'primal' steak & I honestly think it is one of the best steaks I have ever got at any Disney restaurant. Their burgers are huge & good also. Some in our group always get one of the pasta dishes & they love that. Also the shrimp dishes & ribs. I don't think we have ever had a bad meal or bad service at Rainforest ever. It is still our favorite.
Go online & apply for the Landry's card & you will get a $25 credit on your first meal there & a $25 birthday credit every year if you go during your birthday month. Cannot combine the two tho.
I always pick of their gift cards at Sam's during black friday for a good discount also.

We ate at the AK location for breakfast on our last trip and thought it was a great breakfast. We have also eaten at the one at Disney springs and also found it good

Our food was great in February, it was actually one of the better meals we had (which I wasn’t expecting). Our service was also wonderful - we were there for a birthday and our server made a pretty big deal of it. I also didn’t find it that loud, we used to have a location where I live (long ago at this point) and the one at Disney Springs was definitely quieter than that one used to be.

While not exotic or signature, being a chain restaurant and owned by the Landry's group, the food is always consistent and good - similar to most any chain restaurants like Chili's, Friday's, etc. I eat at one of the two Rainforests and/or the T-Rex probably once every other trip (4 trips a year to Disney, so twice a year). When I don't feel like deciding what I want to book, it's a great fallback. In fact, I just ate at T-Rex last week - I was staying at Saratoga, and it was a great pick for a first night meal because I could just walk back to my villa when I was done. I've never had a stand-out memorable meal on my top 10 list, but also never had a bad meal at any of the locations. Consistent.

Yak and Yeti is also part of the Landry's Group....

Get a free membership for priority seating (don't need a reservation), and you can earn rewards.

Also if you have a Sam's Club account, they offer a $100 Landry's Gift Card for $80. Rainforest was good the last time we went, but at AK we prefer Yak and Yeti.
