Rainforest Cafe Questions: Please Help!

Hello!

DH and I are planning on taking our girls to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. I have a few questions:

1. In your opinion, which one is better? The one at DTD or the one at AK?

2. If choosing the one at AK, do we need to pay for parking even if we are not going to Animal Kingdom just RFC?

3. Do either one take PSs?

Foodwise and ambience-wise, the RFC at AK is the same as the RFC at DTD is the same as the RFC at the Mall of America is the same as..... well, you get it. It's a chain and the experience is deliberately designed to be the same no matter which RFC you go to.

As far as parking, I would think that as long as you're using the lot, you'll pay for that use. It doesn't really matter if you're going to a park or a restaurant or even just (for some reason I can't think of, lol) taking a taxi offsite and leaving your car in the lot all day.

hi, i haven't been yet but, have made a PS for RFC @ AK in may, as I have read that this one is quieter and therefore service is better, I have seen the one at DTD and it did look a bit mad and busy, so have made my PS on strength of this, also, not sure if I am right on this but, think you can only make PS at AK one, although not totally sure about that, enjoy it, whatever you decide.

I agree with both previous posters. In my experience, the AK one IS less crowded, therefore you'd be likely to score a table more quickly and perhaps better service. The one in DTD is usually way busy. I still usually go to the busy one anyway. Creature of habit, you know, when it first opened, that's where we ate with my parents, so it feels "Disney". You'll enjoy either location, everything else is exactly the same! Good luck!

We went to the one in Atlantic City a few weeks ago. From what I've heard they are all basically identical inside. Needless to say we thought it would be a little redundant to dine at one during our upcoming Disney vacation.

The themeing is really great, but I think you are paying for that more than the food. We have been a couple of times now and were rather disappointed with the food. Last time it was only lukewarm when it reached us, personally I would choose somewhere else. This is only my opinion though, sorry if this wasn't what you wanted to heara, but its your decision at the end of the day. If you do decide on RC, i hope you and your kids do have a great time.

You will have to pay for parking in the AK lot, unless you are an AP holder or staying at a Disney resort.

YES you can get a PS at the downtown Disney RFC, we have one made for this June.

thats good to know. personally i LOVE RFC, and my first experience of it was DTD so thats the one i always go to and id like to make a PS for my next trip. i think the food is fab, especially their mashed potatoes (and normally, i hate mashed potatoes!).
