Rabbit + Darth Vader!

Hi there!

Just got back from an 11 day trip to the world. Saw some pretty amazing characters including Rabbit (Near the American Pavillion). This was Sept 29, the first day of the Food and Wine Festival, maybe they had extra characters out? Rabbit was joined by Baloo, Pluto, Goofy and Perla. Throughout our stay we also met the 3 caballeros and Horace and Clarabelle. Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper were also our at Star Tours! I thought they only came out during the Star Wars weekend. Also got to see the premiere of the new caslte show that was being taped for a commercial on Sept 30. At the Halloween Party, our new character findings were the 7 dwarfs together, Maleficient and Tarzan. And of coruse the Pooh and Mickey gang all dressed up I want to go back ! NOW!!!!!

Sounds awesome! I'm hoping that Darth and the Stormtroopers will be out during our visit. This is DH's favorite .

Hello. We were there last week too. We also were able to see Vader and the Storm Trooper on Friday at MGM. My girls are HUGE Star Wars fans so that made their trip!!!!!!!! They were disappointed that he didn't sign autrographs for us though. He did sign for the line before us, but our line missed out on autographs! Oh well, at least we have the pictures!
Also, I was surprised to see Figment out. That was a treat for me! Apparently he is making regular appearances at Epcot now. I had just never seen him before this trip!

ETA: We also saw a filming for a commercial or resort TV segment in front of the castle at opening for MK on 9/25. I didn't stay long to watch it because I was wanting to go ride.

Clarabelle and Horace were at the entrance of the MK in front of the railroad station. We saw them both on Sept 29pm and Sept 30am!

Oh yeah! Forgot to mention that we also saw Clarice at MGM. Another first for us

Haha, look for a fellow geek bouncing up and down in front of a CM at Star Tours on 11/4 as soon as MGM opens asking if any of the SW characters will be out that day. That'll be me.

Concerning the SW characters, my DS6 will go absolutely nuts for Darth Vader and Stormtroopers. He is completely obsessed by Star Wars at the moment (which is no big surprise as I lived and breathed it when I was 6) We went to a SW weekend a couple of years back, but he wasn't really so keen and was a complete party pooper, so we missed out on meeting a lot of the characters, which he has been kicking himself about recently!! Fingers crossed they will be out for some time to come.

I am so excited with all these characters being out and about!

Wow! My DS6 is gonna love it if we see Darth Vader. I sure hope DV happens to be out when we are there later this month.

DV was outside of the ride right before the parade.
DV was INSIDE the ride after the parade. We got to him about 10 minutes before the parade and the CM said that he was leaving for the parade and to come back to the same spot at 3:45. We lined up with several other guests at the same spot around 3:30. (Right after the parade) However, by 4 PM DV was STILL not there. Finally a CM came out and said "Sorry, but there was a big miscommunication. Vader is inside the ride right now." The CM escorted those of us in line into the handicap entrance to see him. So be on the lookout about an hour before and after the parade near the ride. That may help.

We saw DV at 9:30am in front of the ride (outside but under the shade). Their was a storm trooper walking around, and DV plus another storm trooper outside of the ride with a queue line. Then, we passed by again at around noon and they were all still there. So, from my experience and other's experiences (above), i would guess he was pretty much out all day except during the parade time.

That didn't happen for us on our 2 MGM days. Believe me, we rode the ride many, many times at different times of the day..........too many times for me..........because DDs are huge Star Wars fans. That was the only time that we saw him there. Of course, we weren't riding Star Tours 24/7 so I understand that he may have been there more often than my times. I can just verify that it wasn't all day each day.
BTW, Star Tours was the first ride we rode on one day and the 3rd ride we rode the second MGM day so we were there during the 9:00 hour both times. The second day it was more like 9:40; the first day it was 9:00.

I would say that close to parade time is a good time to look for him because he walks in the parade. The guy has to be there and dressed for that.
**ETA: And, BTW, the parade does start right by the ride.

If not at the American Pavilion, try UK - that is where we saw him two weeks ago.

It's great that Disney got some more characters out in the last couple weeks! This is great that Darth Vader and Stormtroopers have reappeared, and on a non-Star Wars Weekend, too! Maybe I better add them to my site! I hope all these new and unusual characters stick around for awhile!

To the OP - you met some AWESOME characters! You met so many super rare or new ones!! What an excellent trip that must have been!
