Quickest way from AKL to WL

Hi. We have a dinner reservation at Whispering Cannon Cafe at 6:25pm last week in March. We will be traveling to Wilderness Lodge from our hotel which is Animal Kingdom Lodge. What is the absolute quickest way to get there? I looked on ourlaughingplace.com and it said to take bus to Blizzard Beach & then bus from BB to WL but BB closes at 5pm that day so I doubt there will be any buses going to BB at that time. I am guessing I should leave my hotel around 5:30. Correct me if I am wrong on that too. I know we can take bus to MK then boat to WL but we will be riding the boat from WL to MK after we eat to get that experience so if there is a quicker route via just busses let me know please. Thanks!

Ignore that website as your first step.

Take the bus to MK, then take the boat to the Wilderness Lodge. I would allow 90 minutes to be on the safe side and you can spend your extra time checking out the WL lobby.

You could also take a bus from MK to WL if you don't want to do boats.

Of course, taxi is the most direct and quickest.

You can take the bus from AKL to MK and then another bus from MK to WL. Aside from the possible wait time for the WL bus, the WL bus ride time is much shorter than the WL boat ride time.

The quickest way would be to take a taxi rather than Disney transportation. For Disney transportation, it's probably about the same to take a bus to any theme park and then the bus to WL.

There is no possible way you are going to be able to get close to accurate travel times. You could walk up to a bus stop just as a MK bus came along, or, you could walk up just as that MK bus is pulling away. Right there you have at least a 15 min difference in times!!! I usually figure on about 40 mins, resort to parks. It usually doesn't take that long but better safe than sorry I always say.
For a 6:45 ADR at WCC, leaving from AKL, I would plan on leaving AKL by 5:30. You should be at MK by 6. Then, boat to WL. That should get you to WL by 6:30. Which gets you to WCC for 6:45.

The Our Laughing Place travel wizard is notoriously bad as far as correct info goes. Some is correct, some is ridiculously convoluted, some is just plain incorrect.

why not book uber or take a cab to get there and rely on Disney transport to get back 'home'? check out one of the taxi fare estimators, likely less than you expect

An easier option is to spend the day @ MK and take the boat over for dinner.

Absolutely quickest way is by automobile (yours, rented, or chauffeured).

Except for a few instances where/when multiple resorts share buses (or boats, etc.), all resort to resort trips via Disney Transport require making a connection which in turn can require another wait for the next bus, etc. In some cases one of the legs can be done on foot (no pun intended).

Buses typically run every 20 minutes. Since you need to take two buses, there would be two wait times producing a 40 minute difference between the near best case trip time (both wait times near zero) and a reasonable worst case trip time.

If you truly want the quickest way, take a cab. That way, you just have to leave 20 mins for travel time! Yes, it will cost you but it won't be a ton of money and you don't have to spend 90 mins getting there.
