Quick ticket question

I know you think I would know this but I don't.....A friend at work called today to tell me she is going to the Magic Kingdom this weekend. Here is what happened. Her cousion and wife came over this weekend. They explained they bought some 4 day hopper tickets and they still have once day left....they expire at the end of September but the husband can not go this weekend because of a golf tournaament. Well my friend said she would go (she would only have to get tickets for her kids) Well the cousion called Disney today and was told no one can use her husbands ticket. Now I am an annual pass holder so I never even read the threads about tickets but is this true??? Why would Disney care if someone else uses a day on the ticket. They paid for the ticket. Can someone please explain this to me???

The tickets are NON TRANSFERRABLE - always have been, always will be. It is illegal in the state of Florida to transfer or sell tickets. I do not know why - that is just the way it is.

You know the finger scan you do with your AP at the turnstyle?? Well, all tickets do this now so no one else can use a ticket except for the original user. HTH.

More details are needed. What kind of tickets did they buy that they expire? If the husband has used the ticket since June it would have a finger scan attached to it and the friend wouldn't be able to use it.

All tickets now require a finger scan so once someone uses that ticket no one else can.

Wow I did not know that....I have not bought single park tickets in years so I had no idea..............
As for the second reply. Yes they did use 3 days of the tickets. Well you learn something new everyday.
