We are going back and forth between the DDP and the deluxe DDP. One of my concerns is that we are going over Christmas/NYE ('08) and I know the parks will be packed. For anyone else that has gone to the parks that time of year...are the wait times for counter service meals horrible ?? I am trying to balance the amount of time we spend waiting for meals against the cost of the deluxe plan which would allow us to make reservations for each meal. I know it's a long way off...but I am making reservations now and need to figure in the cost of the DDP in with my package. The basic plan makes more sense for us since we aren't big breakfast eaters ...and I am concerned with how much time we would be spending eating vs the attractions with the deluxe plan. But I don't want to struggle everyday to find a counter service meal either !! Thanks any any advice/tips.

It really depends on what time you eat. Right at meal times ALL places (CS & TS) have a wait, even with ADR's. If you eat early or late, it will greatly decrease your wait times.

I know if I have an ADR at a TS restaurant at 6:30pm, I will probably have to wait 20 minutes or so for my table (maybe more, depending on the restaurant). Then you have to alot the 60 minutes or more that the meal would take.

At CS restaurants, right at meal time, you will have a line and have to hunt for a table. It may take as long as the 20 minutes or so that you would have to wait at a TS, but you'll have your food in hand and be done in another 15 minutes or so.
