Quick question!

New DVC owner (SSR) here. My question is, if I want to visit DW next 8/16/05-8/28/05 does my 11 month window open on 9/16/04 or 9/28/04?

It's eleven months from you check out day.

It's 11 mos for each day of your trip. To book the whole trip at once, you would wait until the 11 mos mark of your check out day. However, there may be times when you book each day by day to make sure you have your room. We do this for Spring break, and the holidays.

This is a question I have as well. Since our use year apparently won't start until March 1 (that's when we were told we can start using the points) when can we make our first ressie's? I would like to set a trip for Memorial Day, but can I make ressie's as soon as I get the temporary member number or do we have to close first?

Reservations can be made 11 months from the check-out date at your Home resort and 7 months from check-out at all other DVC resorts. As soon as you have a member number, you can begin to make reservations. The stay cannot commence until after your closing has occurred.

You get your points in March of '05, but for an August '05 trip, your 11 month booking window would be September 28 of this year. You make the ressie in September, and they take it out of the correct use year. You don't have to have the points actually in your account at the time you make the reservation.
