Quick question?

I have been reading alot on banking and transferring points etc. but have a quick question?

I may be forced to transfer or rent some points due to not being able to come to the states next year.

If I bank a few points this year, can I transfer them next year or only rent them?

Thanks should be a easy yes or no, but not quite sure.

Banked points cannot be transferred. If you bank this year's points, you could not transfer them later, but could still rent a reservation made using those points.
