Quick question about Park tickets and Split Stays

I am arriving at SSR on the 14th and switching over to Kidani Village on the 17th. I know if I decide to purchase the 7 day park hopper, I have to hold on to the KTTW I received at SSR to use to enter the parks for the remainder of my stay.

Do you think I should do it this way or just buy 3 day park hopper and then purchase another 4 day when I check into Kidani Village? I know it may sound strange but has anyone ever done this?

When you check into AKV, just have them transfer the remainder of your hopper to your new key. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I asked a DVM and they told me that I couldn't do that. They said I had to keep the key at SSR for park entry.

I have never done a split stay so I don't know how they apply tickets to the KTTW. But I wouldn't suggest purchasing a 3-day and then a 4-day. You will end up spending more on the tickets. Because the more days you purchase the more you save. You could always buy a 7-day ticket and just use the paper ticket.
