Quick help needed with OKW check-in question

Guys-need help. WE're going down on Saturday, with another couple. They are flying--we're driving. Plan was to arrive more or less at same time. Now, with that hurricane, our drive time may be delayed, so they might arrive long before we do.
Q.-can they check-in first?? We have all the paperwork, the points, etc--they are our guests. Since OKW won't have THEIR names, will they be allowed to check-in?? If they give OUR names and are asked for any papers, ID, etc they won't have any!!

OKW let one of our guests do that a couple years ago. We thought he was coming over after our flight arrived, but instead he arrived at OKW at 8 am! He told them the story, and they assigned a room and gave him the key, but wouldn't let him in the room until noon. He hung out at the Turtle pond pool waiting for us.

If you want someone other than you the member to get keys for your unit/reservation, then you have to add their names to the reservation. Contact Member Services & add the opther couple's name. In May I was told I did not have to add children, but I did put both my sister's name & my six-year old niece's name.

Also, are you sure you don't want to leave today for Florida ? Good luck leaving home Saturday morning & getting through the Middle Atlantic area.

THanks to both of you--I figured it wouldn't be "easy" so am glad I asked.
I'll call menmber services--hope it won't become a mammoth project to add those names--.

It will be VERY easy to add the names. I usually do that each trip just in case guests are not traveling with us.

Also call Key West and advise them the couple may be arriving before you. I have had trouble at OKW with "guests" checking in first even though their names were on the ressie AND they had a copy of the confirmation with them.

The last time I even got Member Services involved since they were open. When I got to OKW, the desk clerk told me to not only add their names to the ressie via MS but also call the OKW front desk.

As noted, call both MS and the resort, since the trip is so soon. A copy of the confirmation isn't really needed and their names won't be on that anyway. Normally, a call to MS should suffice. I always provide names of all in the party to MS when the reservation is made.

They will need photo ID (driver's license) most likely to verify who they are at check in.

I called MS this morning and they added the names. Never thought that OKW front desk would be a problem {after that)--but I see that it might be. So I'll call them also.
