Hi Everyone....I've been watching the airlines for October out of Hartford. I wanted either Delta or Southwest and Delta now has the exact flights we want for $276 which is the cheapest I've seen. I know we would have to pay for luggage but the flights on Southwest are just about the same price and there I would be paying for seat assignments so that's kind of a wash. The other problem with Southwest is that they are not offering early am non-stop flights there or late flights back so we would have to miss almost a whole day and have to maybe leave a day ahead of time which is kind of a pain. SO...what do you all think? Should I book Delta right now? Anyone think the prices will drop even lower? Thanks...I don't want to miss out so quick advice would be great!!

Personally I think they will come down, especially on Southwest. But, it doesn't seem that Southwest has the schedule you want. Have you considered flying out the evening before? I'm doing that in August and saving about $100 per person. We are staying at a LaQuinta that night near the airport for less than $70 per night.

If, on the other hand, you are happy with the Delta schedule and fare...grab it. It might go down, but you are protected from its going up.

Unless it's a really fantastic fare, I'd wait.

The Southwest prices will almost certainly come down, even if you will be paying for ECB.

Also, Delta has sort of a notorious rap on these boards for changing flight times, so those times that are so perfect right now, may be switched before October.

Ok...update...so I decided NOT to book the delta flight...I will wait it out for Southwest but I did just call and book a room-only ressie at ASMO for $104. It will still be cheaper than paying for all of our luggage and we will arrive the night before around 9pm, rest, and hopefully be ready to go the next morning. And that way we won't be exhausted from traveling for our first full Disney day! how does that sound? Now just have to wait for SW to lower their prices....
